There’s a big difference between feeling bad about someone dying and staring them in the face to do it yourself. My sister’s ex-boyfriend turned out to be a horrible and relentless emotional abuser for 11 years. When I found out after she finally opened up to her family about it, I’m ashamed to admit I found myself wanted to personally murder a human being for the first and hopefully last time, I didn’t go through with it because I knew it wouldn’t be worth it since she had finally left him by that point and because quite frankly I don’t want someone else’s blood on my hands. If in some horrible alternate timeline I did go through with it, it wouldn’t have been about him, it would’ve been about me and my sister. I can imagine Jaime, being a generally compassionate guy, had a similar thought process that made him reluctant. I highly doubt care for Dillan came into it.
To this day if said ex-boyfriend could just die slowly in a horrible fire, I would be very and unrepentantly happy about it.
@Baam Sounds like a bug to me honestly. Though as I recall I did build the cameras, so maybe that’s essential?
I don’t have much of an opinion on Gina. She’s good with the nephew (which I always appreciate) but other than that she just gives me the impression that she doesn’t give a damn anymore after losing her husband. Can’t fault her though
Church is a fun character, though. He’s quirky and loud enough that his shiftiness goes right over my head.
Why does no one like Parker He’s no badass but he serves the group just as well. For all we know he could make a Carol-esque transformation down the road?
All the Parker haters will be sorry when they’ve appointed someone else as quartermaster only for the entire group to die off because we all get dysentery and some thief stole the last antibiotics for the common cold.
When the apocalypse is over, he’s going to be the star of the film about our group and the plot will heavily paint him as the hero pulling everyone else out of the fire. Hollywood types. >:L
I see Kelly being the more likely candidate to have a Carol-esque transformation. Parker just becomes moody and annoying if he doesn’t like your style while Kelly tries to work with you regardless of your leadership style and doesn’t get an attitude if she’s assigned to watch duty at least to me anyway.
I like Mr. Church, he has good morals but is rather… okay in my view, That being said, I also like Woody because he fixed my shelter while the home was being invaded by zombies.
The moments between him and your dog are what make me like him, tbh. He’s a really docile character and seems like the nerdy kid in school who got shoved into lockers I guess I kinda feel bad for him but he’s sweet.
I’m tempted to go with a cat next time just to see how he reacts
Oh no I asked what people think of him because I personally don’t like him. Calling him underrated was just because I haven’t seen any discussion about him
My self-insert characters usually tell Keith they want to join, sadly it doesn’t end well The chance to join the Silverthornes or any other group besides ours would be super interesting and I’d likely pick them first despite my rapport with the Survivors of Nightfall.
Unfortunately my self-insert MCs are pretty useless (cooking, empathy and persuasion being their main stats) so they’d more than likely be kicked out or killed faster than even Kelly would
My self-insert character thinks it’s a setup right away. Especially since Keith was watching us at the lake not to mention the dead campers down the highway who’s journal talk about running into them and then shortly afterwards they die. Coincidence !? I think not !!!. Also cooking and persuasion is useful every camp needs a good cook or chef. Persuasion and empathy are good for diplomacy and negotiation you think he’ll be able to intimidate every group he meets ? No for every monster there’s always one worse than the one that came before it. If he’s smart he’d find a use for you’d just have to be smart and play your cards right.
The thing i like Safe Haven is it really feel to live among merry friends in desperate hours… and everyone is content even with differences, for that i will keep it like this and won’t join any other groups … those new comers who want to join us will be closely evaluate for theie behaviour, right now i have my perfect group of survivals trying to salvage whatever solace we could manage , it had been told that in future book we will find another safe haven elsewhere, so we just live through the apocalypse with measured optimistic… We aren’t going to trouble anyone if no one trouble us…
However, i do wish miracle happen to our group too where we could have another Faith healer like the group in original zombie exodus … or we wait for the cure from that group
Why wait for it when you can start studying the virus yourself ? We can play as a virologist among other kinds of scientists. Also are you going to at least work with the other groups or are you an isolationist? It’s a zombie apocalypse story there will be some antagonist there to trouble you. The trope “Humans are the real monsters” is interwoven into these kind of stories.
