I have nothing against that approach. I have completed a full on psychopath play through.
I just dislike the fact that she has the skills, and with with her supplies and military grade weapons, the influence to become leader, but choose to deliberately lose the vote so that someone else is held responsible when things inevitably go wrong.
I see your point and I get the fact that people donāt like that she letās someone else take the blame if shit hits the fan. But Iām starting to think Rachel is or considers herself better at triaging a bad situation or adapting to problems the group faces and acts accordingly. Also sheās a spy and dealing with peopleās feelings isnāt her priority so itās easier for someone else to be a leader and deal with peopleās concerns and emotions while she plans what to do next.
I havenāt played this game in a long time (I know, my bad as @JimD is an amazing writerā¦) so I donāt know how things are currently implemented, but theoretically a good leader should be able to delegate this task to someone who would enjoy it more. Then the leader would bounce potential decisions off the assistant and theyād inform the leader in advance of who was likely to react badly to the decision, or how a necessary change could be implemented in a way that those who might react badly would react more positively. Of course itās impossible to please everyone all of the time, but appointing a deputy who is very much a people person and placing them in charge of internal messaging and maintaining group harmony would be immensely beneficial to a leader who wants more time to focus on external threats.
That makes perfect sense, I can honestly say I never would have thought to do that because Iām not leadership material nor have I ever attempted to be. But that really does seem like an excellent strategy. I bow to your wisdom.
Sometimes my MC uses both a firearm and a sword in one duo, thereās something very elegant about the contradictions of holding a pistol in the left and a calvary sword in the right hand.
Usually firearms. In my experience itās been the most practical choice (and safest.) I did make one character proficient with a katana, though. Canāt remember how on earth I got it but that was fun
Edit: I goofed, I forgot a proficiency in close combat weapons gives you the option to have a katana at the start A testament to how often I donāt go for close combat.
Personally I prefer killing the dead with a melee weapon and saving my ammunition for human threats because eventually we would or are going to run out of bullets and I think itās better to use your guns on the deadlier threat thatās just me though. If we donāt save our ammunition ranged fighters will end up using crossbows and regular bows against hordes of the undead. Start saving your ammo now I say.
Am I (my MC) the only one who actually helped the red-haired lady at the dilapidated (broken-down) school? I couldnāt stand the idea of the red-haired lady being nommed by zombies so I helped her.
No originally I didnāt care if Rosie lived or died because she tried to kill us and Iām not a forgiving person but, for the sake of trying a different playthrough I saved her and sheās now one of my favorite characters and would definitely help her again.
The first time I read ZE:SH I let her die purposely, because at first glance she wasnāt exactly friendly and I didnāt expect her to join us. But also it was my first time so pretty much everyone who could die, died.
Now with almost every MC I canāt help but save everyone Tried playing a jackass once, didnāt feel great.
If Rosie runs away and joins the Silverthorneās Iām cutting off her head though. She has this 1 chance if she squanders it by betraying us she makes up for it by dying.
I canāt see her doing that unless Driver wasnāt around. Driver is a big softie and I doubt heād even consider joining the Silverthornes so Rosie is stuck with us even if she wants to leave
Well I let Jillian kill Driver as revenge for Lyleās death. So excuse me while I go sharpen my sword and carve Rosie into the hilt. FYI, Iām not joking youāre either with us or against us sure if thereās a bigger threat and you recommend we join forces with our enemy to eliminate the greater threat thatās fine but you canāt come back to camp without expecting not to be disemboweled after you sold us out or got members of our group killed.
I remember our undead lord and master JimD mentioning another group in the newsletter (I think) do you guys think this new group will be a new ally or another potential enemy like Keithās Militia ? (I know this all depends on our actions) but I still want to know your thoughts.
As long as MC manage to save Lyles, Jillian wonāt hold much grudge to them
When going inside the school, Driver was so nice to cover us with the heavy machine gun ⦠even when i request him to go in with us, he was hell bend on covering for us :-)
Of course i help Rosie , she was just like Herley Quinn without joker, i think she is an RO in future too
Both Rosie and Driver request to join us, with great empathy and a certain choice , their joining will make everyone happyā¦
And i found it funny because the scene show that both Rosie and Driver were acknowleding MC like school boy and girl ⦠nodding their heads " Yes sir yes sir⦠we promise wonāt do it again " , it feel great to be a teenage teacher :-)
Reminds me of the one time I mistakenly brought Jillian with me to the school after failing to save Lyle When she shot Driver I started over because it was the last thing I expected.
Now I either do my damn hardest to save Lyle or just leave Jillian at home otherwise. I like Lyle but goddamn why you gotta get in the way of Driver and I
Even with Lyle killed, I got Jillian to accept Driver and Rosie, without loosing to much relationship. Thanks to empathy and/or persuasion. But I prefer leaving Jillian at home, just because I donāt think she is very useful and I donāt like her that much.
Hm never tried to talk my way through driver, I always used the sneak entrance^^
