I’m bout to see if you can do this
You can . Magically the other don’t see you are making out with his sister five metres away. And you flirting in turns and nobody notices. It feels wrong and i think it will backfire
Yes I agree I was just wondering if I had maybe missed something else
That sounds like it has the potential to be really disastrous…
So well My fan fic of Zombie Exodus Safe Haven provisional called Mara Walkthrough is alpha stage. It includes first part and has two modes. A noveled Mara playthrough quite linear. And The fan mode that includes a totally quest with missions and stats and choices.
It is alpha so it is all but could be add lot more stuff players could want like Mara diary and Mara description of all characters in game.
Still is 23,000 I hope someone will read it. If i see people is interested I maybe make a thread to talking about it.

Noticed something with my playthrough I just did which is that Driver was never around. I must have skimmed past it by accident cause I decided to play part one again and saw he gets killed by zombies if you cause a distraction to get into the school. If you use another method of sneaking into the school can he survive and stay with the group or does he die no matter what now? I seem to remember before the update he survived even when I used a distraction to get into the school
He stays alive if you talk your way past him (and don’t shoot him in the back, obviously) or find another entrence into the school.
Will there be more training opportunities in the future of the story @JimD? And will there be an increase or decrease of these opportunities? I’m curious since some games focus on skills in the beginning chapters but reduce the opportunities for stat improvement later. Knowing this information can help me plan out my skill distribution better for my character. As it stands, I usually choose to train my group in firearms at least, but I’m torn between whether to train someone specifically (cause it raises that skill for free), or to go on scavenging missions with Jaime and Kelly.
I really liked getting to know Mara better by reading her POV, also Jaime’s description on the first page made me lol.
Jaime is fun. Because I could have easily Made him a guy that helped Mara with the parole because he was interested in her and make him look grittier. But I don’t think it goes with Jaime He is just a Teddy bear that sort of is there He doesn’t want to lead he is a shield a second in command.
My favourite to write so far is Rachel terrible seductive skills and how she presented herself in the original scene.
Woody well is woody. The fact a cat and a 8 year old kid were more useful in the school speaks eloquent of his personality that for Mara is same level of his deodorants.
So I read that it’s apparently possible to save George? I’m very confused cause I remember before I even got the chance to help attack the zombies or do anything it already said he was being eaten, and I can’t find the info on how exactly he can be saved anywhere…help?
Run out to help Gina with the zombies then when she is about to shoot George convince/order/threaten (depends on your skills which of these would work) her to spare him.
Oh shit lol I was confusing George with the guy that gets eaten…makes a lot more sense thanks!
I finally finished a playthrough I’m really happy with here, my MC is a 21 year old college student majoring in computer science so she’s gotten involved in SurvNet but also is a very handy person (I like to think she learned a lot about cars and crafting from her dad) so she helps with a lot of camp improvements and maintenance, you know, behind the scenes sort of work. She’s romancing Jaime and sort of blindly supports him as the leader of the group because she always looks up to him. She doesn’t see herself as leadership material even though she does have very good instincts and for whatever reason most of the group trusts and has taken a liking to her despite her lacking much charisma. She didn’t have any experience with fighting before the apocalypse but learned how to handle a gun pretty fast thanks to her quick reflexes and steady hands. However she is by no means a person of great physical strength, in fact she’s quite weak and therefore has to rely more on ranged attacks than close combat, but her fast reflexes also means she can often outrun or outsmart her opponents when she can’t overpower them. So far she has managed to save Lyle and Jillian from Dillan and his group, stopped Gina from killing George, but she did shoot Jude on the rooftop (and I have no idea who her other survivor kill was or if it’s just a glitch). Anyways here are her stats (I bought extra attribute and skill points plus had more bonus skill points from playing the original game)

Great build ang good story. However an advice if you’re role-playing a character the stats has to reflect the story.
If alana is a hacker college student that previously has never shooting a gun and is not strong and has no idea close combat. She can’t have the best preference skills Guns and melee.
It is like make the profile of Conan the Barbarian and choose like skills Magic and religion.
Haha can you imagine Conan the Barbarian is really just a priest with some magic skills.
It is a common error people learning to role-playing usually do. it comes from fear of character nnot be GOOD enough. When charms and fun in role-playing comes from not being good enough. Comes from be a human with defects and how overcome them. For instance my hacker teen average Joe Zero guns and still zero guns in final second part as he hate guns and think are stupid because the noise. Is a challenging build yes but that’s the fun of Average joe
Some people role-play to escape their lives and become superpowered and some come in and role play as the average joe. Or, if you’re like me you do both. I like the narrative but know my numbers oriented mind won’t let me make “stupid” read: in character choices. So I do a few OP playthroughs then do regular role playing.
Making a human story vs making a video game story. Both are fun and thanks to games like these, both are achievable in the platform.
Also, the mental image of John Wick afraid of guns and combat but actually really into gardening and science is too good to pass up.
Yeah some op builts are fun here and there I have Buffy for instance even if i put her being terrible in science crafting electronic etc…
I thought the preferred skills were basically what you wanted your MC to prioritize learning as you go deeper into the game so that’s why I chose ones related to fighting, because that’s what I wanted her to improve on the most seeing as it’s her weakest area starting off
Sort of. They’re the skills that you can max to 7 and have cheaper upgrades. Think of it as what your character has an affinity for. Like a natural born athlete will probably have something like athletics as their preferred skill because it’s what they’re good at and can gain skill fast. A computer nerd might have electronics and science/crafting as their preferred skills. It may be harder for them to hit the gym but they grasp math and science easier than the jock so it’s easier to upgrade.
