Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven General Discussion (Part 3 beta coming in December)

As @poison_mara said, Medicine and Science are treated as separate skills. Maybe he’d make a good assistant for a Zeta virus researcher, though. And of course, science skills in general will be in high demand too.

It more of brain thing for children they can lear faster than most adults thats one of the reason the military like 17-18 year kids they can learn faster than middle age man. And most 18 year kids are too naive to pick a mos for after milltary. It like adults leading a second language it will be harder for adults learing than kids

I understand the learning capacity for people who are younger part. But Madison, Brody and Tommy are on a whole other playing field compared to Parker, Kelly and Nephew now out of those 3 and based off of what you said about who would learn quicker than yes the nephew would learn faster than the other 2. But, I think Kelly knows more about how to shoot a gun than Bailey and Nephew so I don’t think it’s a matter of “taking a year for Kelly to learn how to shoot a gun while it takes Bailey a few months and Nephew a few weeks” simply because they’re younger and it’s easier and quicker for younger people to learn. That doesn’t make sense to me especially since Kelly seems to know more as it relates to firearms than those 2.

Well damn I didn’t think about that ,I assumed since it’s just few days since the apocalypse has started, people might still retain their humanity .But the scenario which you had mentioned is highly possible too .

She used a meat cleaver during hill battle to were as you can your nephew a fully atomic rifle he not use it that good bat it still a start. I can’t remember if she a gun during thr gas station so I would she know absolutely nothing about guns just like the nephew does. The reason I think kelly will not learn how to fight as fast logan and Bailey. We have to teach her common sense before anything cause she gets her self dangours situations. Plus the nephew has the most down time of anyone in the group in that downtime he could be training.

I’m confused; Kelly and Parker are in their 20’s, not their 60’s. The only “old dog” who can’t learn new tricks is Nora and she tells you so herself.

Also, from a gameplay perspective the nephew has the highest advantage over anyone else because his character direction relies on being trained for the apocalypse or not.

You can give her the sawn-off shotgun and she ends up saving you if you fail one of the stat checks (can’t remember which one for the life of me). I don’t recall the nephew actually using the gun during the battle on the hill when I gave him one.

Yeah kelly probably like late twenties I could be completely wrong. [spoiler]This text will be blurred[/their was a scene werw said he waed it around like he what was doing]

Why on earth would you trust an untrained 8 year old with an assault rifle !? Also of course he’s not going to be able to use it properly the recoil alone would more than likely throw him on his ass. Start small like a pistol or a knife don’t just have give him an assault rifle and hope for the best that’s how you could get him hurt or he could kill other people in our group on accident.

I would free the people who never wanted to work under keith’s Rule and take them in. Anyone else who didn’t want to be liberated would probably fight back if you ever tried to confront Keith violently. Therefore, most of the people who “don’t want to be liberated” would probably be killed in combat. Though if they’re willing to part ways peacefully I’d be fine with that too. The only way I’d choose to massacre keith’s Supporters is if Keith somehow hurts someone in my group. If Keith so much as lays a finger on someone in my group, no quarter for the wicked. I’m going full equalizer on their arses.

While they are separate skills in game, Medicine’s description says (paraphrased) “closely related to Science level”.
Also, teaching Woody, one of the 4 high-Science characters, Medicine reveals that he has a lot of practical medical knowledge.

They did it in the sixtes and seventy

Oh yeah, after you killed their leader, possibly destroyed their home and ruined their way of life, I’m sure they’d be very open to making peace with you and leaving peacefully. Also given that Keith said, he killed anyone that didn’t support him or resisted his leadership. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who weren’t happy with the Silverthorne’s Coup had to be willing to kill people as a sign of devotion and loyalty or risk being executed. So maybe it’s possible that while people who aren’t happy about the Silverthorne’s being in charge they’re still willing to kill you and the group if it means they get to live.

Why even take them in ? why not just let them stay at their original camp ? Or just let them find a new place on their own and allow them to finally make their own choices. I’d imagine they’d fight back regardless of you confronting Keith violently. Because of Keith’s “if you’re not with us you’re dead” mentality so I don’t think it will be a simple cause and effect problem but rather “you refused to join the Silverthornes so now you’ll die”. Even if you polite fully declined his invitation you still refused so there will still probably be conflict.

Just because they did something in the past doesn’t necessarily mean it was a smart thing to do or a good idea in the first place.

That is ture but Trust my nephew john. Fun fact my nephew name is john Rambo

Has anyone considered the possibility that Keith actually isn’t the leader of the Silverthornes and could just be the second in command ? (I think Keith is the leader but it’s still something to consider)

Yeah actually. It would make sense but why he lie

I doubt that only because of Keith’s gravitas but if true I’d be mad excited to meet the real brains behind the Silverthornes.

If Mara were the second of command in a group and wanted to overcome the leader would present herself as leader taking that new people in her control to have a power base when destroyed the leader or in a duel or more probably after an intercourse. It has tons of sense if there is a internal turmoil in Silvers

I’ll do you one better why not lie ? He has no reason to expose his leader or partner if co-leader to a bunch of strangers especially if doing so could make the leader a target for assassination if they can’t be recruited .

For all we know Keith could be the very arrogant co-leader who acts as the arm/hand of the true leader. Just like how the MC or Rachel or Jamie can be co-leader if they wish why couldn’t those same rules extend to NPC groups ?

Yeah, I’d definitely love to see strong a co-leader or number two who took on a more behind-the-scenes role with Keith, whether they be an architect of strategy or his PR/communications person. Anyone who filled the role would definitely need to be manipulative or at least very conscious of how they interacted with others – I imagine Keith wouldn’t take a rival for power very well.
