@P_Tigras Carl is no innocent victim. He did something completely inexcusable, and he was always overbearing and jealous, which is seemingly exactly why Candace didn’t like him much and started liking Jason more. Candace on the other hand is in no way a passive force here. She chose to sleep with Jason just as much as Jason chose to sleep with her. And she was probably in more control of herself in that respect that he was considering that he’s a nerd and she’s an attractive woman. Just being around her probably inhibited Jason’s capacity to reason. The fact that he displayed several symptoms of Asperger Syndrome makes it seem even more like he had no idea of the affect his words would have on Carl. And the fact remains that Carl basically tried to kill him because of words he said. Someone with so little self control is definitely a danger to the group. If you talk to him he still keeps making excuses afterwards like there’s any justification for his actions. He just doesn’t get it.
My point is, Jason is hardly the holder of the majority of blame in this situation.
Also don’t forget… like most post-apocalypse scenarios, you should keep one eye on maintaining a human population big enough to keep the cousin-marrying and genetic defects at bay. Save as many as you can, even if they’re (as @P_Tigras put it) derrieres.
My answer for Question 2. yes more Fighting & Character building, all through the 3rd installment i was hoping we would have the chance to steal Candice away from Carl / have a deeper more detailed Relationship with Mindy / a way to keep Heather interested & faithfull / if you are going to add a kind of Morality system then an option to Build a Romantic relationship with Emma .
all 3 installments are great but one of my Favorite Scenes so far is
when you are sent for Meds & the exploration of the Vets Office, mindy having the breakdown shows that even the strongest most upbeat survivor has a breaking point
keep up the excelent writing i cant wait for part 4, i have played through i know at least 5 times
I’d rather have her form a relationship with someone else so I can be the protective older brother…god help anyone who breaks her heart my soldier will break them and leave them for the zombies
@RRR that would’nt be so wise as to feed the zombies… Since they die off after so long without food, plus that’s adding to they’re population, which is also a very bad thing
I also just wanted to add that I think this CoG is the most popular on the site… (given I haven’t looked at many other games because they didnt interest me the same way) which is a HUGE accomplishment since @JimD is not actually part of the site, and just a guy that found some free time.
It’s interesting to read everyone’s perspective, since it helps me to envision options for later. One other thing on the survival end is that extra people use resources, which will lead to some survivors suggesting maybe person X doesn’t deserve to come along.
@Lobo420 I like the scene with Mindy too. It is really a character building scene for her. Thanks for your comments.
Hmm how about arms dealer profession you have a good supply of weapons, and are good at negotiation and manipulating people, and maybe have an event where you use your arms dealer connection to help group or something.
Talking about professions, I noticed (correct me if I’m wrong) that there’s no profession that gives you a charm bonus; like being an athlete gives you a dexterity one, for example. Perhaps being a model could be the new hard mode. You are popular, likeable and beautiful enough to gain a place on people’s good side, but you have an awful time with strength or intelligence. Stereotypes, ahoy! Haha.
Just gonna throw this idea around but how about new game + like start a new game when you beat it using a code or something and you start with higher stats to make replaying easier not sure if anyone suggested it already though.
