Zombie Exodus, going forward

Really loved part 3! :smiley: Can’t wait for the next part!

Cool can’t wait to see what you got planed

Save points before each risky section would be nice, having to go through certain parts over and over again because I keep dying at the fuel run gets rather irritating.

Loved part 3! keep up the good work!

just pointing out to everyone who keeps dying in the fuel run, it is stated quite blatantly that its supposed to be a stealth mission, and by the sound of it most of you aren’t being too stealthy. Id recommend trying that maybe?

Wow, mad shirt taking off skills there. If only he had had a little more forethought and considered how many more showers he could have taken with his hot girlfriend if they hadn’t been killed and eaten.

This reminds me of the glaring absence of a shower scene in Zombie Exodus though.

@falconess @Stpeter182 @Txu thanks!

@13vetrm I am working on the save code now. I agree, it is annoying.

@Cyrus good suggestion.

@Shoelip I kind of have a shower scene in Part 4 :stuck_out_tongue:

And “kind of” means it’s a zombie in the shower. :frowning:

Oh snap. I may never take another shower again.

Spoilers:

Hm, playing through the game again for the first time I have one particular glaring complaint that pops up in my mind. Before the time skip to fuel run Emma comes in and suggests that we should leave the others, and your only options are to agree, disagree, or abstain. Why the can’t you ask she thinks we should leave? I mean, that seems like a reasonable thing to do. Of course once you choose an answer it tells you why, but still that choice really annoyed me.

That’s the only real issue I have with it now though it’d be nice if you could follow up with that military group and their hostages. Actually, since I chose to give them a fake location and I can’t go back to that spot to test it again in this version, I was wondering if you could tell me what happens if you give them the real location, and then stick around. Could someone who’s in the know maybe PM me about it or something?

Yep… you definitely need a save system. I died on the bridge during the fuel run by foolishly trying the rope trick instead of shooting them like I had with all the other zombies. Now I have to start all the way back at the beginning of the chapter I was literally on the last place you could possibly die at, and I don’t really feel like it…

Having a save point before each risky bit would ruin the game imo

We’re supposed to be in a zombie apocalypse so being able to retry a scene after death would cheapen the experience.

I choose options that suit my character and I’ve yet to die.

@shoelip After your first day at the cathedral, Emma says her opinion that you and her do not belong there. You can ask why she says that there, I think.

This. Was. Awesome. Apparently I’m going to survive the Zombie Appocalypse, because I made it on my first try. XD Really great job, very complex and detailed. It gave me the option to save at the begining of part 3, is there any way to save at the end and keep your game for part 4?

Yes Cyrus, we are being stealthy. And then we die. It doesn’t matter how you approach the fuel run.

Hey Jim, since you prob dont know who i am…yet, im the guy who asked if it was cool to make a ficc based off this, just wanted to let you know ill start working on it in a few days since FictionPress.net is hating me lol. btw i cant wait for the next part…more advance in romance and a bit more head smashin’ if you can…

Is there anyway to start a relationship with mindy or is that gonna be in the next part?

@Nocturnal_Stillness By that logic we shouldn’t be allowed to play again if our character dies. I never said anything about restarting at the beginning of every risky scene. But Chapter three is insanely long with tons of down time, and I died in the LAST risky scene of the entire chapter, only to have to start it over again and play through the whole rescue carl, med run, and food run plus all the in-between time all over again. Nevermind the fact that the fuel run is in fact that only area of the game in which I have ever died unintentionally. It’s literally the hardest thing in the game, and it’s the cap of the longest part of the game between saves. It’s just plain frustrating and worst of all, boring, to have to start over from the beginning of the chapter at that point.

@Shintaro Yeah, but that reason is that they’re outsiders, and didn’t make that much sense to begin with, and by the time she suggests leaving again it makes even less sense. You’re basically the hero of the place. Everyone looks up to you as the person they can rely on for dangerous situations. Tom makes the hard decisions, Uncle Lou makes the food. The others make themselves useful, but you get the job done. And they all know how dedicated you are to your sister. So it makes perfect sense for your character to be quite confused as to why Emma might feel like the two of you still don’t belong belong after all this time and should leave.

@ChaoticGamer I haven’t managed it yet, but I’d assume it’s possible if you talk to her during the interlude after the medicine run and haven’t started a relationship with Heather earlier. When I talked to her I got the option of thinking how I was attracted to her, but that my relationship with Heather complicated things. If you’ve already done that then sorry for being unhelpful.

@Shoelip

my post wasn’t directly for you someone else suggested a save before each risky bit. If you die you just restart as a new character a save point before a risky scene would make me personally not worry about my choices as I can just pick any choice and redo it if I die.

Maybe it is just me. Hope I didn’t offend you.

Sorry to be a bother, but I wanted to know how to upgrade to get part III.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
