Zombie Exodus, going forward

Your welcome jim.d

  1. Does the group survival sound interesting or does solo survival have more appeal?

I really liked group survival, because it’s more realistic. Very few people would want to travel solo, I think. This way, you also can develop with the characters, and are forced to make moral decisions in time of crisis, adding to the drama of the storyline.

  1. For this game, should there be more action (i.e. fighting zombies), more adventure (i.e. puzzles/problem solving), or more character building (i.e. focus on relationships and even romance).

Is it wrong to say all three? If I had to choose, I’d go with action.

  1. Should the pace be real-time or progress over time? Progress

  2. Do you have a sense of the characters of Emma, Heather, and Devlin. Is there too limit character development so far, or just enough? Do you like them, hate them, don’t care, etc?

Good character development. Like some, like Emma. Heather is frustrating but it’s necessary, and Devlin, well, that is to be determined.

Overall, very fun! Can’t wait to see this grow.

@Reaperoa thanks, I think those things helped. Stat screen seems to run faster now.

@xsfoolishness thanks for your feedback. You’ll see many of your comments have been implemented in Part 3.

We there be misson later on there u can pick who u want to come with u on it

Plus is there going to be any zombie animals I.e dogs or wofts in a later part

There’s a good chance that I will have a mission where you pick a member of the group to join you.

No zombie animals – this version of the zombie virus is not cross species.

Ok cool looking forward to seeing who u can pick to go on it

I just thought of a great bad idea for an attempt at a cure! Gene spicing! Some crazy person decides to try to alter people’s DNA by mixing it with various animals in order to make them immune to the virus!

When is the next part coming out?

BTW, I found a but with the fuel run. When you attack the zombies on the stairs and lose your weapon then attack the second one with the MP5 the game seems to think the MP5 is a bladed weapon. Also, when you use the MP5 on Ramirez you still get the rubbery substance on it.

Is the Fuel Run intended to be a muscle guy only mission?

For no matter how my 10 Str 10 Dex Scientist/Minister deal with the boiler room/stairs pair(the cowboy & the worker),they always come back after the Ramirez scene and eat me.

I’ve tried to kill them with crowbar, shotgun, MP5, or the objects in the room.

When I play as a Solider, however, they stay dead if I decide not to sneak by.

Also the fire axe from the Utility Closet isn’t added to the inventory.

Will there be any ā€œkneel & pray/divine interferenceā€ choices in the future chapters? The Fuel Run seems to have none.

@Shoelip the DNA splicing is interesting though that sounds like a concept for a whole new game!

I’ll check into that error with the weapons.

@Passer556 thanks for that feedback – I need to add in more to help out those with high Will and Int, and also make it more difficult for those with high dex.

@Passer556 i just ran through the mission and found several ways to kill the two zombies with 10 str 10 dex. However, I will still add more ways to handle them, playing to the strengths of a character with high intelligence and will.

*Spoiler*
If you search the control room and go through the narrow passage, the zombies will follow. Killing them there is possible using objects in the boiler room.

I just remember in one of the part u Jason said we may have to one leave the safe house one day I was think are u going to have it over run by zombie and u have to make a choice who u save if u pick one person the other person died/turns ?

So far, the game is awesome! I love the characters (Devlin is a greatly constructed villian/anti-hero). But I think there are TOO many characters that you have to manage relationships with. I was fine with just Emma, Heather, and Devlin.

This is what I do from the control room to Ramirez’s room:

1)Inspect everything
2)Kill both zombies in the boiler room with objects in the room or a shotgun
3)Inspect everything
4)Utility Closet & Matthew’s room
5)Deal with Ramirez, either kill it or trap it in its room
6)And this is when weird thing happen

If I play as Solider, Carpenter or Athlete, the two zombies from the boiler room will stay dead.

But as Scientist or Minister, they come back and eat me no matter I decided to flee or fight.

Also, even if I didn’t bring NVG with me, the game still ask me whether to put it on each time entering a new area.

Ok those are definitely bugs I’ll fix. Thanks for playtesting it.

Oddly, it does seem that your battery drains faster if you don’t bring the NVGs.
