Defiantly D.
(insert comment here that gives jims motivation to write 100+ chapters for what ever reason xD)
Clicked on āShow Statsā at some point during Month 1 (think I did lab->scout), triggered an error.
Probably most people will explore the cathedral and interact with the others on the first playthrough or two, then skip it thereafter.
Iām gonna say option D. Exploring and getting to interact with the other characters really draws the player in and gives them something to care about. Plus, Iāve been impressed with how all your characters interact thus far.
My choice would be D. I would like to know more about the survivors. And after living a month in the cathedral and (depending on your choice in the beginning of chapter 3) working on it, there still is a mystery like this to explore? Thatās a little strange. Nonetheless I wanna know it.
@kavok Iāll check out those issues
@everyone Thanks for the feedback on the exploration and interaction topics.
@Vurguzz the impetus for exploration comes when you find an area under the cathedral previously undiscovered by anyone. I can see how it would be strange without that info
is there going to be an epilogue? like showing what happens a few years after the game is over
No doubt D
@kavok I fixed the stat screen issue so far. Thanks for finding it.
@Aznxa yes I am planning something similar
I like epilogues, but please donāt make it like the epilogues for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
Im hoping it wont be like⦠.Two years later ⦠Zombies come back we are all fucked
I havenāt played Fallout New Vegas. What is the epilogue like?
Itās a slideshow of pictures with people speaking to the presented picture, the ending isnāt bad in my opinion, it shows how each of the choices you made develops in the future. I assume Kamer didnāt like the endings because the future of the player himself isnāt spotlighted. And that IS kinda sad.
If you want to see the āgoodā ending for New Vegas here is the Youtube link, contains spoilers⦠obviously:
Thanks for posting the video. My epilogue wonāt be like that much. The only similarity would be explaining how the world is going forward, but I would not focus on peripheral characters.
Personally, I like the epilogue of the player character vague. A matter of being able to imagine, and also there is something inherently melancholic about not knowing.
Hi Jim! I still havenāt played Act 2 onwards so Iāll comment later.
Looks good so far Jim! Loving the progress, you sure have come a long way since Part 1. Canāt wait for the future!
This is by far the best IF I have ever read. PLEASE keep going. (by the way⦠howās everything progressing?)
@ScarletGeisha thanks for reading it and I agree with your view on epilogues.
@GamingPanda thank you!
@bakerady thank you very much for your comments. Things are progressing well. I am almost done Part 3ās Medicine Run mission and have started the Fuel run mission. Currently, I had to do some editing of Part 2, but I have plans for Part 4 already sketched out.
