@VoodooDolly I think “fool” is a bit much. Some people are simply ill-informed, and it doesn’t mean they’re malicious or stupid. But thank you, I am awful at explaining things and am glad I didn’t word my argument too poorly.
Also, I agree with you about preferring realism in historical-based games for the same reasons, though I can understand some not wishing to deal with sexism in their games when there is so much we have to deal with in the real world.
And I may start using “equalist” from now on… “feminist” was supposed to be enough, but it’s taken on some bad connotations due to the actions of a few misrepresenting the concept.
So Im a fool? Bring it on! I may be a fool but Im a devilishly handsome fool.
I cant believe women are still griping though. We gave you the right to vote and work. Go back 100 years and see how women were treated back then. This is heaven compared to that.
It is illigal in Texas to pay a man more than a women in an equal job. Now if youre a dish scrubber and a guy is a manager, of course he is going to be paid more. He has more experience.
Yes, I hardly think wanting equality is “griping”. And yes, things are better now than in the past, but we want things to get even better in the future. That’s how society progresses, and equality benefits men as well. More equality would mean less pressure to conform to strict gender roles for women AND men.
Also, something being illegal on one place doesn’t mean it’s illegal everywhere else, and it doesn’t mean people follow that law.
That I can understand completely, I can also understand if a man has more experience than and woman and is paid more. And Sorry Zed I would answer it but I wouldn’t be able to give a complete answer as I don’t have very much knowledge there. >.<
The main problem with communism is that it doesn’t motivate people very well unless they’re extremely idealistic. The main problem with communism in practice is that it’s never been done. It’s always been corrupted into a sort of fascism.
Haha i just find feminism funny in that often enough women accept insults that make their lives easier. Like open the door, dont hit a lady, pay the tab. Thats societal expectations, and no not everyone does that but its still part of our culture.
Of course this is just observation of society as is, not personal beliefs of right wrong
