Zombie Exodus and Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven Hints and Tips

As for Madison , there are further interaction that you need to consider … after dealing with Rosie and Driver, the safest choice is "whatever, no time to apologise " which earn you good rise in relationship with Madison … then when selecting your transport , if you keep your own transport while assigning others… selecting Madison will increase your relationship , but make sure you don’t ride with motorbike because Madison want to bring Brody along, she will said the Bike can’t take them all and the relationship will drop a lots… if you bring other people other than Madison in your vehicle , the relationship will drop a lot too ( most likely Madison was jealous), the safest route is to fit everyone into either Van or Truck …

As for Kelly, when first meeting her…choose to approach Markarov in a civilised way, then when confronting Markarov , choose to offer her to stay in your house… in Part 2, when Kelly ask about Finn, choose the first option " Sorry…" and let the survivors form their own team when fighting Zombies, it should be enough to romance with her …

@SteampunkNinja

btw, had you ever ran out of Ammo ?
Yesterday , both my Arsenal AK and Springfield M1 ( as backup ) ran out of ammo, i survive the encounter and save Tommy, but not enough ammo to trigger the scene for Madison to compliment me of shooting the Zombies in the hill battle …
I normally won’t run out of Ammo if i choose to trick the first zombie out of my house without killing it… (but it will render my home defense to Damage 7)

Did you choose to start with the Springfield or a weapon which uses 5.56 ammo? I find it hard to run out of ammo as long as you start with one that uses the same ammo type as the gun you want to use, so if I want an Arsenal AK, I’ll start with the AR-15 so I can get 5 5.56 magazines that I can use with the Arsenal.

Shooting the zombie outside your home doesn’t affect your ammo. Usually when you’re shooting a few zombies, you’re not actually using ammo. In part 1, the only time I know of that you can lose ammo by shooting it, is in the final battle against the horde. The game isn’t keeping track of how many bullets are left in your magazine/clip, so you only lose a magazine if you used your entire magazine like you do against the horde.

The intro battle in Part 2 plays with this by keeping track of how many bullets you’ve shot and comparing it to how many bullets your gun holds, and making you reload if you’ve used more than a full magazine/clip, which is much better in my opinion, but means you use a lot more ammo than the rest of the game, typically I go through two magazines.

You can use less ammo by doing other actions like rallying survivors and only shooting zombies like the one chasing Tommy, or the ones flanking the group, this would use up much less ammo than shooting the horde, so you could save the ammo for the round where Madison will join you.

Yeah i start with springfield , .38 as backup , then after finding Arsenal AK… i set Arsenal AK as backup with Springfield as primary…

In part 2, i join the field with Madison …but used Arsenal AK first, then it ran out of Ammo , after that it mention the springfield also ran out of Ammo , which i was very surprised … then after checking the gear, both option of Arsenal AK and Springfield are gone, leaving me with .38 , but just enough to save Tommy …

I remember previously when i was not a leader as Teenager, same scenario but after Arsenal AK ran out of Ammo, the springfield had spare magazine to last until it trigger the scene with Madison …

That seems weird, but the Springfield only has 5 bullets per clip so maybe it runs out a lot faster than the Arsenal, which has 30 bullets per magazine. You might also end up with different amounts of ammo each playthrough depending on what you scavenge.

Hmmm… that’s what i was wondering, whether it had anything to do with me shooting the first zombie, and then while helping Dante . i shoot the springfield to make some noice to distract zombies, finally i help Gina using Springfield … so this may added up together, i think i should set .38 as primary first, then after finding Arsenal AK, set Arsenal AK as primary before helping Dante and Gina …

In that case, my Springfield should have enough ammos for Part 2 , after my Arsenal AK is emptied

Still, all those events don’t actually affect your ammo. The game just doesn’t track it in Part 1 until the final fight. In part 2 though, small things like saving Tommy would hurt a Springfield more than an AK or AR.

Hmmm… i might had to replay from Part 1 if i want to get that scene with Madison

my first teenager MC is not set for leader even though he can get the scene with her, i plan to create a teenager MC who is competent enough as a leader … which i did with my 2nd teenager MC, but i ran out of Ammo …Lol

btw, in my election for leader as a teenager i got 7 votes, i think both Jaime and Rachel got 5 votes with Kelly 2… that’s because i voted for myself, what happen if i voted for Rachel and it is tie with me and Rachel both 6 votes ?

It depends on your leadership. If you have high leadership, one of the Rachel’s votes will be given to you, if it is low, one of your votes will be given to her. Same if you tied with Jaime.

The mechanics of ammunition needed to be revamped and reworked to be balanced. This is why the use is not tracked in part one. With that in mind, you will want to stick with a popular ammunition type and loot the multiple locations that has that type (Each of the houses in part one excluding the Victorian has ammo of one type or another.

Going forward, you will want to think twice about acting like Rambo shooting off hundreds of rounds.

If you do want to use a lot of ammo then my suggestion would be to pick the AR-15 to begin, choose the military or police profession (both routes give additional ammo) kill “Cowboy” when encountering Lopez, loot the AK, and in the big hill fight use your ammo in extreme emergencies …

I guarantee you that ammo is going to be something you will need to be aware of if you are a ranged weapons specialist in the future parts.

I just remember Rosie’s Big Machine on the jeep , it was stated that it was low in ammo… if we didn’t use the Big Gun in the battle, will it be reserved for future? … i saw we could let Rosie (or anyone else) uses it if we assign the team , but if we let the team form group themselves …i am assuming the Big Gun and its ammo was reserved right ? i read that Rosie will be using her sub machine gun in the field battle so that Big Machine Gun should still be on the jeep ?

btw…if we are using sniper riffle , if our ranged weapon skill is high enough(along with high perception )…it means we kill with one bullet each right ? that mean we can conserve more sniper bullets ?

There are 3 types of guns: single-shot, burst (3-bullets per burst) and auto which is a clip-worth of bullets fired each time.

The sniper rifles are single shots but the clip on each holds 1/3 of that (or less) of a standard AR clip.

The .50 calibre on the jeep is a unique weapon - it is more for plot purposes for Dillon, Driver and Rosie for part 1 than intended to be used beyond in later parts.

There is balancing going on with heavier weapons at the moment … no guarantees on what is going to appear or disappear beyond the personal arms.

Aw shoot, so my mc can’t go rambo any longer  and my zombie kills count was racking up nicely

@Eric_knight just use .56 ammo if your ranged weapon is high enough since you could one shot anything with an arsenal ak anyway.

I tried what you said, but at 60 Willpower, my character still fails at waking up for the night shift. I’m curious if stamina or another skill/stat also plays a role in this, as my character has 30 Stamina.

perhaps it is stamina, my willpower is only 51, stamina is 50 … i never had problem waking up at my shift , but before my shift … i spend the night together with my love interest

How about mental and stress? my mental is close to 90% and stress is very low…

You need fatigue low

Did you choose to get drunk with Reilly, skip watch duty, or skip watch duty to stay with Lopez? Those are the only things that can make you miss a shift aside from willpower.

If I remember you can get PTSD as a challenge is part two? Does anyone know how to do that?

You need to either get your nephew killed or have mental health under 50. For the nephew you should have him fighting and not help him, and for mental health just have really low willpower and do lots of stressful actions.

So far no matter what I tryed he keeps surviving the battle… Didn’t think it’d be that hard to get rid of him when that’s my goal.

NO! He’s the best! He and The Dog are must haves in all my runs, for me they’re basically like Jamie or Rachel in that they are always in my group, if that makes sense.
