I will get this patched immediately
Thank you, I’ll check that out to see why
Should be working now
This, among some other minor issues, has been patched. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I need to name my scenes better haha. Completely missed that one during the upload.
This is nice when the game completes this will plus for people because not many game give illustrations if this get insert into the game
I completely agree. I’m not sure how most people feel about illustrations in IFs like this, but personally I really enjoy it. For example, the way that “War For the West” handled it I think was perfect.
I love little stuff like that that adds to the world and immersion. Especially with a setting like this I feel like having some hand-drawn art here and there will only improve my work.
Defintly looking forward to seeing what happens next though i suspect I know to some degree whats coming.
I hope I can surpass your expectations and deliver a great story ![]()
Started into checking it out. Was curious due to free option of male/female aspects as well as other factors.
I will continue. But honestly.
As a Vet myself and knowing intro procedures.
Technically, should be a nurse there for femMC. Especially if pulling bit more from WW1 aspects. Yes, room to maneuver obviously. Believe if want it to ‘feel’ real. First start is that. Nurse instead of a man dealing with a girl.
Side note of experience and witnessed.
Men and women trained separately for effectiveness before 2000. During unit runs out of basic and advanced training. Men filled ranks A, mostly B and some C. Women filled ranks D, some C, few if any B. A civvie ran with A. She also just runs. Doesn’t actually participate in any of previous physical training before a run. It held true across many bases.
Thank you very much for your feedback and comment, I do really appreciate that and I will take it into consideration.
On your first point, this was done intentionally. Havan, while definitely more progressive in some ways, like letting women fill combat roles, is still a fairly patriarchal/male-centric society, and so for things like the medical examination, women are not given as much freedom in that regard. While this is obviously not okay by realistic standards and practices, it is a societal practice within the narrative.
On the second point, really the only thing I can say to that is while I have done a lot of research on the era myself, and have very obviously taken a lot of inspiration from real world events, structures, etc, this is still a fictional setting and so not everything will reflect the same way as it does irl. Though if not having a more realistic structure is something that is taking away from the story for many people, I am more than open to revisiting and reworking things.
I do seriously appreciate your feedback from a Vet’s perspective, and I currently do, and plan to further cooperate with friends of mine who have served in combat environments so I can improve my story to the best state it can be in.
The side note of what I saw was just input only, not really suggesting there. It might help but was just input only.i served before integration training began.
I am looking forward to bit more. Plus, not combat oriented vet anyway. So wouldn’t be able to help unlike your friends could.
My thought on nurse was the only real suggestion aspect.
Thanks for posting your demo, the only other game I know that touches similar subject is Somme Trench, which is also a nice read but I think I prefer your work due to* the world you’ve build up here plus better character interactions.
Don’t know if these were reported but Chapter 3 still ends with “Thanks for playing the demo” page, and Victor’s status is still “Alive” in the characters tab. Don’t think there was anything else, will check out other paths for now (Sniper’s was a very enjoyable read).
Good to know. Like I said I will definitely keep it in mind for the future. I take all input and suggestions very seriously and genuinely want this story to be as high-quality and enjoyable as possible. I will look into the nurse thing for sure, as that is honestly not a very impactful change to make on a grand scale, and I do not think it will take away from my vision at all, so I appreciate that suggestion.
Also, whether it was combat-oriented or not, you still served, and therefore your opinions and experiences on the subject matter are still extremely important. Doesn’t matter if you were working the kitchens on a carrier out in the atlantic or taking fire in Ramadi, I value your thoughts on the subject highly and appreciate any interaction with my story. So thank you for the feedback!
I will look into that ASAP. Currently tied up in some work stuff, but you can expect the bugfix within a few hours.
Chapter 3 is still meant to end with “Thanks for playing” as chapters 4 and 5 are not out yet (should be out by sunday hopefully, just doing final edits).
Definitely look out for the mega update, as the sniper path is one of my favs for chapter 5, though all of them are super cool.
I did intake personnel work for training camps several years at start. Hence why that doctor/nurse exam was glaring at me profusely.
Well..I was able to see chapter 4 myself so it having the message at end of 3 might want to be moved lol
Oh for real? That was not intented. Interesting. Just fixed that. Welp, I guess some of yall got an early preview hahaha
Ahh gotcha, that makes total sense then. Like I said I’ll look at it. Most likely I’ll change it and you can expect it to be improved with demo 3.0
I dunno how CoGdemos’ demo posting works, maybe you accidentally posted files into the public link?
That is exactly what happened. I had accidentally selected it when highlighting the intended chapters.
