WIP vs beta testing. What is allowed?

Hey guys,

I hope I’m not asking in the wrong section, but I wasn’t sure as to where to put this so here goes…

I finally made some progress on my project and was considering uploading/hosting a WIP here, as I saw for many other titles in the forum.
However, upon “researching” I stumbled upon the the websites very own guide on what do do when writing a Hosted Game Write a Hosted Game - Choice of Games LLC

Im asuming that the “you must have a complete beta … not a demo of some potion” part is simply a requirement before you can actually publish your game to the market?
Or is this a recent change that straight up forbidds me to upload my work here until it is finished?

That wouldn’t make any sense to me, but I thought its better to ask than to be sorry :sweat_smile:

If this is still allowed and very much good practice, than I would welcome any advice you are willing to share on how to do this properly, as I havent really found that much on this topic so far.

Hello @Christian_Diener First of all welcome. Second it’s wrong place but I aperently lost trust level so can’t muve it. Answering your question: You can publish your demo just fine. Thats about in beta stage and then publishing stage.

This is correct!

And this is incorrect! Don’t worry, you can make a WIP thread with an incomplete demo, you just need to have a demo before making a thread for it.
