[WIP]Transcended Awakening [NEW UPDATE 01/09/2025] [110k+ Words] [NEW UPDATE 18/08/2025 Patreon update 112k+ words]

I think its a bit disingenuous to suggest that ‘You are no one’s heir. You don’t belong to any prophecy.’

Yeah in regards to that, it doesn’t actually make any sense since despite the mc being born in a branch family they are still part of a much more powerful clan. and changed that now

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback and I’m always open to refining things based on reader insight!

It seems like the fact we are born with a mother having a rival clan will go on to be important, so I think something mentioning that could replace it

Good so far. Since the story is still in early stages I don’t have much to say but one thing that kept bothering me was that the pc is supposed to be 3 years old (at least to everyone else) but everyone in the story treats them like a teenager.

The way the father treats and acts around the PC (when he called the PC to meet a general. like, why would a 3 year old need to be there?), the way the tutor actor acts and treats the PC (also why does a 3 year old need to train like this, this early on?), all this feel too jarring knowing that it’s a 3 year old.

Maybe you could make the PC a bit older instead.

Well the PC is a noble’s Son and in fantasy the heir is supposed to understand and behave like a adult very early on (that what I read in most of the medivial novels)

Or take it like this if you got reincarnated as a child in another world then you are not going to at like a child when you turn 3 . You will act like an adult or teen

Bro, the MC is 3 years old and gets more respect than I do in my late 20s.

Keep going you’re doing good

That’s a fair point, and I really appreciate you bringing it up. The world I’m building expects a lot from children born into powerful families, so early training is kind of the norm—especially for nobles. And I was definitely inspired by Mushoku Tensei in that regard, like how Rudeus starts training magic with Roxy at the age of 3 or sparring with his father despite being so young. I get how it might feel jarring at first, so I’ll work on making that dynamic feel a bit more grounded. Thank you for reading and giving a feedback.

But apparently not respected enough if Reiren can yeet the MC out the window..

Hi everyone!

First off, I want to sincerely thank everyone who’s taken the time to read, comment, or give feedback on Transcended Awakening.

I know this stage of the game might feel a bit slow. And there is not much action yet, and for some of you, that may make it feel like there’s not much fun happening at all. And you’re absolutely right—this portion of the story is very introspective, lore-heavy, and focused on worldbuilding.

That’s intentional and not final.

I’m still carefully building the foundations of the setting, the systems, the clans, and the relationships that will shape everything later. My goal is to create a living, breathing world with depth and tension—and that takes time. Still, I completely understand that this pacing isn’t for everyone, and I really appreciate your patience as the story continues.

In this new content, I added 15k more words.

the first step into the Shadow-peak sect

A new perspective scene from one of the Ros

And a new Codex glossary and character descriptions—although the glossary is still a work in progress—many entries are still being expanded and polished.

What I’m currently working on is the first sparring battle and implementing the combat system and its many variants and branches alongside coding them into the game. And it’s taking a bit of time, but it will be out as soon as I finish them.

And I want to thank you all again for reading and for sticking with me as the story builds momentum. Your support means everything.

real mushoku tensei vibes but thankfully in this one we were just an ordinary loser instead of a disgusting pervert when truck kun got to us

the deep philosophical prose for the ki training stuff and worldbuilding is nice but it kinda whiplashes the occasional lighthearted dialogue we get to say, maybe add a bit more light bits in between so it doesnt feel as jarring when we get to say a joke after 5 pages of serious thoughts about the nature and function of our ki

There’s pronoun errors mostly in the courtyard scene after Reiren destroys it. My MC is a girl but keeps getting referred to as “he”.

Too many questions

I’m actually planning to break them apart soon and move most of the lore-heavy or reflective ones into an accessible in-game library/codex. That way, players can dive into the deeper worldbuilding at their own pace, and the story flow won’t get interrupted as much.

Thanks so much—that’s really thoughtful feedback!

You’re totally right about the tone. The shift between heavy, introspective worldbuilding and sudden light dialogue can feel jarring, and I’ll be working on weaving in more natural, lighter moments between the denser prose to help it flow better.

The early part of the game is intentionally slow and lore-heavy because I want readers to feel the world, its rhythm, weight, and rules before the story truly accelerates. The Ki philosophy itself is heavily inspired by concepts like breath meditation, Tai Chi, and internal martial arts, where movement isn’t just physical but an extension of the mind and will. I wanted it to feel like more than magic and something alive, reactive, and personal.

I appreciate you pointing it all out. I’m taking this seriously as I continue polishing and shaping future chapters!

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your patience, your feedback, and for taking the time to read Transcended Awakening.

This update brings a lot of new content—and it’s just the beginning as the world starts to open up.

In this new content, I added 47k more words, now with 87k+ words
What’s new :

  • The continuation of your training with Reiren
  • A chance to roam around the Shadow-peak sect
  • A mini-game & stat-based sparring match (with different Paths)
  • The Blade, the Fist, and Arcane routes, each with their own unique scene
  • New/more perspectives from different characters
  • And the first appearance of one of the story’s main villains
  • & More

Right now, I’m working on expanding the lore, polishing and adding to the Codex/Glossary, and improving the stat system to better reflect choices and progression. I’m also writing the next scene, which takes us deeper into the story’s turning point. It’s taking a bit of time, but it’s coming together, and I can’t wait to share it once it’s ready.

If you’d like to support me and the development of this story, feel free to check out my Patreon.. Every bit of help means a lot. Ledaibu | Creater of Transcended Awakening | Patreon

as in the future, I’m planning to commission original art and portraits for the game — and every bit of help becomes another brick in the world I’m trying to build.

and feel free to visit my tumbler and i will eagerly answer all of your questions @daibukunn on Tumblr

Thanks again for reading, and for being here.

and a little spoiler

The sword that Reiren gives to the MC in the Path of Blade actually comes from Eden’s original Homeland.

I’m having a lot of fun playing your game so far!

A constructive criticism I’ve noticed is that it’s a little wordy at times. There are often paragraphs (sometimes pages) reiterating things you’ve previously written or that don’t need to be explained in such detail (at least, not yet.) To the point I found myself skipping through all of the breath training section with Reiren because it repeated the same stuff over and over. It felt like the intention there was to show a detailed process for the MC’s learning so that it wasn’t instant, but currently it just doesn’t flow well.
Then immediately after the training you have the tour with four different screens of questions ending with three more pages of options to explain the martial paths, it unfortunately started to feel like a slog to read through. I know I could skip the question sections, but that’s just not how I play- I want to ask everything in case it unlocks something in the future, so each replay I’m clicking through a tiring amount of options.

Overall though the game is good, the plot indulgent fun, and I’m looking forward to its future!
