(WIP) The Wild Hunt - Apocalypse | Supernatural | Epic

This is the spiritual successor of Era of the archdemons and Reincarnation: Archdemon. The culmination of the Archdemon idea I’ve had for a year.

I was going to wait until the first three chapters were finished but the prologue is a long one. 70k or so words. So here you go.

The Rundown:
The wild hunt is a group of supernaturals, both dead and alive who serve as special military to elves ages past. Each leader had a demonic arm of frost from a spirit called the archdemon or “Rebel”.

Now the current leader is Godwyn, the King of the Wild Hunt and his wife Valentine, the bloodthirsty Queen of the Wild Hunt.

The wild hunt will be reborn to face against the arrival of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Death has already emerged from the east, giving everyone the death marker. making the immortal, mortal. The unkillable or lucky, now vulnerable to permanent death.

Someone or something from the eastern lands jumpstarted the apocalypse and its your role as prince/princess of the wild hunt to put an end to it.

Kill all of them or make them part of the wild hunt.

Before the angels fall and the demons rise.

Chapter 1 is getting closer, like 2 days away. In game.

The MC's family (Raubtier)
Godwyn - King of the Wild Hunt

Godwyn is a descendant of Artemis, the elven goddess of the hunt and the creator of the Wild Hunt. While his natural cryomancy stems from his lineage, his more unusual abilities originate from the monstrous arm he bears—a genetic gift from an entity known as the Archdemon.

Also originated from Artemis.

Pragmatic, reserved, and calculating to a fault, Godwyn’s ruthless methods have earned him many titles. Yet, without him and Valentine, the western world would have long since fallen into ruin.

Valentine - Queen of the Wild Hunt

Valentine is descended from the Blood Maidens—ancient elves
born under the red moon who can use blood to command and control. Natural born killers, they possessed an innate connection to the lifeblood of all things.

Just as Godwyn commands ice, Valentine wields blood as her weapon. Rather than manipulating others like those typical of her kind, she uses her abilities for a hands-on approach.

Despite her fearsome lineage, she is kind, carefree, and fiercely loyal to those she deems worthy. However, beneath her warmth lies a darker, bloodthirsty side seen mostly when she fights.

One that only Godwyn could tame. That she became a mother was a shock to all who knew her, add to the fact that her children remain alive.

Gwen - Firstborn Monarch

Gwen is the firstborn daughter of Godwyn and Valentine, a genetic outlier. She inherited aspects of the Archdemon in the form of the conqueror’s cloak; an artifact that grants her unparalleled necromantic abilities as well as enhanced speed.

While her cryomancy is weaker than Godwyn’s, her mastery of necromancy far surpasses his. The cloak serves as an eternal reservoir, capable of housing an endless army of undead, and she can even reanimate the dead into her service.

Stoic and emotionally distant, Gwen speaks little and feels even less, a contrast to her mother’s passionate nature. However, in battle, she is a relentless force; ruthless and efficient.

She takes after her father in many ways and actually prefers him than valentine.

Eradin - Secondborn Oracle

Eradin is the second-born son of Godwyn and Valentine, inheriting the Archdemon’s influence through his right eye.

Unlike Gwen, he has no aptitude for necromancy but wields both cryomancy and sanguimancy, fusing them into a unique and devastating ability known as Red Ice; a volatile fusion that burns & explodes.

His eye grants him powers unlike those of Godwyn or Gwen, though the extent of its abilities remains a mystery.

In contrast to his sister’s stoicism, Eradin is outgoing and charismatic, his natural confidence drawing others to him.

He shares the same bloodlust tendencies as his mother despite never losing a fight. He is valentine’s favorite. For better or worse.

You - True Archdemon

You as the thirdborn of Godwyn and Valentine, carry the Archdemon’s influence through your arm, much like your father. Just like father, this allows you to forge your own Wild Hunt and command both cryomancy and necromancy with power equal to or possibly exceeding Godwyn’s.

You and Godwyn share access to the Spirit Realm, a domain of ancient forces but unlike Godwyn, your existence edges dangerously close to the True Archdemon. This is, in part, due to Valentine’s bloodline, linking you to something far more ominous. Your full potential remains unknown but one thing is certain…

You stand on the precipice of something greater.

RO's so far...

Dream Visitor (Gender Choice)
An enigma within the Spirit Realm, an ancient elf unlike any other. They possess self-awareness, as if fully cognizant of who you are and why you have come. They appear only in dreams, taking a different form and name for each person who encounters them.

Their power is vast, almost godlike, yet their intentions remain shrouded in mystery. They follow you on your journey, but whether their aid comes from benevolence, curiosity, or some hidden agenda is unknown.

Marzia Silver (Female High Half-Elf)
Born into a lineage of fierce pyromancers and martial artists, practitioners of the Devil Style. Her family’s fire-wielding abilities are said to trace back to Asmodeus himself, granting her flames an infernal intensity few other pyromancers can match.

As a rival to Raubtier, Marzia approaches every situation with unshakable courage and relentless determination. Stubborn and simple-minded, she thrives in direct confrontations, but her lack of tact often lands her in trouble. Still, her raw talent and unwavering spirit make her a popular woman.

Just in case it’s not what you wanted - the background of that title image is giving me a headache.

Wow another pair of shitty parents in IF lol .This time they even kill you.

Crazy talk given how she kills you and walks away and says “disappointing” or “We will make another one”.Should get to kill her too just like she did to us here.

Oh nah this is crazy

Dad is just as bad and why did he interfere for no reason here.

ok this is my first time commenting on here but the scene where your own mother wants to kill you made me do it… and she’s not just testing your resolve or whatever, she literally wants to kill you and after she does, she says “disappointing” or “We will make another” and walks away like her own child meant nothing. worst part is if you do not die, she puts on that act of being a loving mom again and gives you that fake smile. This actually pissed me off so much. Like the mom doesn’t actually love you she only care if you can fulfill whatever role she wants you to. There should be a choice to be mad at the parents for this and hold a grudge against them. Maybe even become distant with them and hopefully return the favor by killing the mom or both parents.

Its a plot point with the death marker. Once you defeat the horsemen of death, you begin to see your parents as they truly are.

Predators.

Your siblings already know what they are to a lesser degree.

ok but having the MC be ok with it and acting like their own parents didn’t just try to actually kill them is what I have problem with. I have seen a lot of shitty parents but nothing like this. it’s only fair if there is a choice to hold a grudge after this interaction. and then putting on a fake smile like she wasn’t just gonna walk away and “make another kid” was so sickening to me… I have seen shitty parents in IFs before but idk why this particular scene actually pissed me off so much

Noted but as far as the MC knows, they were giving tough love. Not actually going to kill them.

This grudge will be short lived. For one, they are nicer afterwards and two, they treat you well. As it’s implied, your mother is much worse than your father. Only the reader will know this.

The deaths you saw was an alternate end.

Each end showed their true feelings towards their kids. Especially the mother. Only the reader knows this.

You won’t find out about their feelings about you and your siblings until firstly your siblings visit and after death is defeated.

That’s fair but once the mc finds out the parent’s true nature I hope there is a choice to react to that in a way we se fit, whether to accept it or cut ties with them.

good luck on the story.

Nah the father was just as bad in the situation lol in comparison to the Mom saying making another one he said we will make multiple new ones lol. Also he killer is how cheapshot. They both need to die asap.In my opinion they kind of got too edgy instead of killing the mc this could have been a bad end where they instead just stop training the mc and neglect them basically a game over .So mc ends up as nothing and that’s the end. That would still make them shitty but not that edgy haha.

Honestly…your mother would rather kill you than let you live a normal life with the arm. Youre basically another godwyn to her and anything less is useless.

Killing them is not possible for you. Even with the death marker. Gwen has a better chance but she doesn’t really care to.

I am talking about killing them in future lol when Mc is in his prime .Also it ain’t just mom it’s both of them as Dad was killing Mc too.If it was just mom killing the mc and giving us bad ends while Dad tried to stop her or was atleast sympathetic about it then it would be different.I just find it edgy for the sake of edgy not to mention mothers usually have different expections from kids so she shouldn’t be seeing Mc like her husband and expect him to pass her trial like Godwyn did.

Nevertheless, it is a potential plot point.

Are we able to be a snow elf or is that route not completed yet?
Edit: Just realized it is most likely because I chose the warmer skin color in the beginning.

I have to admit, it took me a bit to figure out why an choice was greyed out, and that I had to choose other skin tone and not the pale skin tone. You’re not the only one that had that issue.

Its a way to show what kind of elf you are. As a baby, you dont know shyt
