fixed.
Is it the end of the romance if the marriage is a success?
No, you can be his mistress
There is no way to be with him on an equal footing?
Nope you either remain their mistress while they’re married or they remain unmarried while still with you, or you end the relationship.
That’s sad
Not sure if this has been called out yet, but there are a few pronouns that are just raw text, not coded to switch based on gender: In Chapter 5, “at his funeral” and to his.. Chapter 7, with his army of. Chapter 8, “loves her family home”
Meanwhile, I’m enjoying the read quite a bit so far.
Thank you; fixed!
I played a few times at least. Game is well written. Sadly playing it feels like I did bad for myself. The ending is so bad. The ones I could find. Either marriage was a no and she kicked me out or marriage was a yes and I could be there a plaything. I could go to next place and have a little better option but nothing else. Why would you multiple times generate feelings in the game if you were going to end it so badly? Why would someone try to make a future if it was so bad.
You could have just skipped the romance fully as it was so bad and no good came out of it. As a player I feel cheated because I was working for it and option to work was given by you.
Same goes for future. It all went so bad.
I am not trying to be rude. I hope you don’t take it that way. I was not looking to be a king. But I certainly was looking to be more then a physician looking after an old fart. If that is the whole future game could give. I wouldn’t even try to look for future. I rather had raised dead. At least that had some chance
I’m loving this game so far.
I found a few typos:
One thing I found weird was how easy Edwina dropped the matter regarding MCs actions with Julia, I choose the option where MC was close to a breakthrough and only regrets Julias death, and sudenly MC is proposing talking to a lord about marriage for Edwina and she is like sure. I feel like it was a bit of an abrupt change of subject
An eternity of reading medieval longsword manuals later, added a sparring scene to chapter 3 and modified the first meeting scene in chapter 1.
Another scene added in chapter 5.
Added a romance scene to chapter 6, available to those who picked the kiss option.
I’m really digging these added scenes. It’s fleshing out the relationship really well. Overall very pleased
Thank you!
For now, I can only say that I’m liking the story so far. I have a soft spot for political/“advisor-to-the-throne” stories, so in general I’m enjoying this. I also really like the MC’s backstory, I find it refreshing to play a less heroic more “black sheep” kind of character. I reserve my final opinion, however, for when I advance more and see how the plot develops.
Talking of what, I found a bug that prevent me from continue:
Is when you fail in arranging the wedding while romancing Edward
Also, as a side note, I normally have difficulty recognizing which stats help which certain choices. And normally found that History as a main focus is kind of useless, but again, maybe that changes later.
In any case, good work!
Tried to fix the chapter 9 error; is it working now?
