Seems good so far, however, there’s an issue with one choice, once you get into the salon, and you choose to check on the woman crying in the back (think it was line 251?) Unless that’s as far as you got on choices other than the two guys choice…

Also, do you have notepad++ (sorry if I’m telling you stuff that someone else has or you know this) but I noticed the list on the front page of spelling errors. Notepad ++ has a spell checker that’s done me good so far, if you want to check into it.

Also (again) and just me being a general nitpicker, if you tell the woman that needs a help with her car (and send her off to get coolant, without taking the money) you put by instead of buy.

Other than that I liked it, and I look forward to seeing more!

(Quick question, feel free to ignore- is there gonna be romance options?)

@God_of_Demonz thank you as always for the input.

@Babisko thank you for the input as well and Notepad ++ is definitely something I have to look into. In my next update I have the rest, (I think) of the spelling errors eradicated. Also, yes, there will be romance options for the players. But they will be further down the road because I want the reader to feel as though it is plausible for them to have feelings for each other and some kind of, “I’ve known you two days, I love you.”

I don’t know about other players and how they like romance, but to me, that’s definitely preferable! Will there *aherm* be homosexual romantic options?

I’ve no idea which writing program you’re using, but notepad ++ is definitely a step up from regular notepad (if that is what you’re using) Gives you line numbers and, if you download the correct plugin, an option to highlight certain commands (such as *choice, *comment, etc.) There’s a plug-in you have to download for the spell checker as well, but as far as i’m concerned you can do that all straight off of the program. Though, it doesn’t check grammar, unfortunately… Just thought I’d throw all that out there!

Erp, one last thing. Went through the two men’s choice and told them everything, and it popped up an error just after I told them about the infected man. Something about falling out of an *else statement, and that it needs to end in either a *goto or *finish

@Babisko yes there will be homosexual romance options, for both genders. Also, the error you got was because I had coded more but didn’t upload it to dropbox, my bad. It is fixed now along with nearly all of my spelling errors. Will code more today and hopefully finish most of the people interaction.

Make everybody a homosexual with the gender (I’m sure no one would notice! It just determines if you’re ‘masculine’ or ‘feminine’) options as flavor text. I’m sure new players wouldn’t notice that little detail.

EDIT: Oh. Well uh, oops on my part. I skipped some posts while scrolling down.

New Update: All of the initial character interaction for the salon is done. You can now get a small taste of players background and personalities; some more than others. More to come in both character development and story development soon.

I have a couple of quick questions for everybody out there.

  1. Does anybody still play my game? Even if nobody responds I will continue making my game because I have set a goal and I plan on finishing it.

  2. For those that do play my game, any suggestions? On where the story should go or further elaboration on anything that has happened. I do have many ideas on what’s to come, but I’m wondering if anybody has any suggestions on possible events that can occur.

  3. What do you think about my writing? Unlike most people on this website, I fancy myself a coder and not a writer so I’m quite self-conscious about my writing. I would love some feedback on what I can do to improve my writing style.

1: I’m still playing your game!
2: Is there going to be a way to cure the virus? Maybe you could make choices that somewhat define the ending for your character, like you manage to cure the virus or you just live out your life but then the virus consumes everyone?
3: I love your writing! I couldn’t have told that you prefer coding, your writing is just as good as anyone else’s on this site.

I’m still playing your game love it
Do we ever leave the salon

*Skipped the comments*

I’m guessing World War Z inspired you to make this? Looking at the description, it sounds like so.

(Btw, I’m back. :S)

@Kitty9 I haven’t thought about finding a cure much. But frankly, I’m leaning towards no to the cure. At least not one made by you. I don’t want this to be one of those stories where the MC can do anything and everything even if its outrageous; such as smiling cure yourself.

@Quinesia yes, you leave the salon…soon.

@CountDon No, I was not inspired by World War Z. In fact, I’ve not read or seen it. Is my idea that similar to it?

Im still reading your game and i like your setting with intelligent psycho instead zombies. But i still feeling that some bunch of karma possibilities are losing humans without virus could be as cruel as infected even more because they still choose but you can allow me being selfish and loot the woman house being more heartless, but the game is good its only i like rp with evil characters

an heartless and evil MC is always fun to play. for proof just look at ZE.

I’m still playing and look forward to seeing more. I agree that having intelligent but psychotic infectees instead of traditional zombies is a really good idea. I still love zombie survival games, but there are so many that it’s great to have some variety.

I don’t have any suggestions as far as gameplay since the story is still pretty early on and I’d like to get a better feel for the setting first, but I think the writing could use some more detail to help set the tone of the game. You don’t need to slow the story to a snail’s pace or anything, but imagery makes all the difference in horror. Aside from that, I really like the writing so far.

@youwish That sounds cool. To be honest I was already getting the airy of feel from this game that you couldn’t do EVERYTHING. Especially from where you choose your weaknesses, I liked that bit.

I think this game is really good and plus intelligent enemies makes it seem more realistic and more fun to play because that way you have to think more about your decisions.

that leads me to a question. if the infected can think, can they plan? like, could one of them set up traps and ambushes? could they ***k with ur head like one of them talking to you on a radio and tricking yu into going left to their lair and not right towards foo and guns?

@MaraJade don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to be evil and make that humanity stat plummet.

@Eriedanna and @Kitty9 and @jacobb21 Thank you very much for the compliments, I really appreciate it.

@God_of_Demonz Yes, the infected are able to make plans and mess with your head. Like I said, they have full cognitive function and are still capable of thinking. The only difference is that they are driven by violence and aggression.

Just an idea I had rolling around that the infected would split into seperate gangs and just kill humans and other gangs of infected between scavenging for supplies.
