I’m loving it thus far!
Could we get rid of LIMPIA or make our own Cordillarist LIMPIA, sense their connected to the Calarado Party who I’m sure wouldn’t be too keen on having a Cordillarist president and might use LIMPIA to try and take us down, the only way to keep LIMPIA as an Cordillarist would be if we took the legion path sense they liked us in that path
Also, would we be able to break the hold on the Democratic Union Party? Because they might cause some issues if an far left Cordillarist President wants to control them in order to have the support of the middle class
I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Chapter 2 will provide a lot of opportunities to deal with the Calarado Party and LIMPIA in more radical manners.
I wouldn’t say that it’s possible to get rid of them, but it’s definitely possible to ally with them if you decide to go in a more moderate leftist route.
I didn’t mean the party, I forgot to add the Catholic Church part, I meant if we can break the Catholic Church hold on the Democratic Union Party
No, because Cordillaria is a deeply religious country (mostly Catholic because of it’s colonial past with Portugal and Spain.)
Actually, even the Cordillarists are very religious in their ideology.
Excerpt from the Codex on the Cordillarist ideology
- Liberation Theology: Cordillarism incorporates elements of Liberation Theology, which seeks to intertwine religious values and social justice. It may involve utilizing religious teachings to advocate for the rights and welfare of the marginalized and disadvantaged, often in the context of economic and social policies.
The only ideology that doesn’t present religious in their dogmas is the Martillismo:
Excerpt from the Codex on the Martillist ideology
- Secularism: Martillismo firmly upholds the separation of religion and the state. It advocates for a secular government that does not favor any particular religious belief. This principle ensures that government policies are driven by rationality and the needs of a diverse, multicultural society, free from religious dogma.
The Catholic Church is so powerful in Cordillaria that even your Minister of State is a priest.
Would we be able to start an People’s Republic of Cordillaria, like how it was mentioned in the legion path if you don’t ally with Rosa
That would be quite a spoiler for chapter 2…
Can we even play our character as a Marxist-Leninist or a atheistic/secular socialist who supports the fight against traditionalism.
I wouldn’t say they’re that powerful. Cicero is written as being elected as a minister on his own merits, after a lifetime of self development and education and supposedly being popular enough to challenge you, despite no words of him being written about his role in the revolution or be an opponent to Palomar to justify it except going into exile early on in Palomar’s dictatorship and we’re not told what he actually did there except continue his career as a priest.
I know my post might sound aggressive, but I genuinely don’t like organized religion. The story presented so far makes sound like we will have to listen to him treat the reader as a child (he comes across as annoying to me) since he explains basic political concepts the protagonist might already know about and we’ll have to stick with him for the majority of the story. If it wasn’t railroaded then I would have him replaced with someone else without a second thought.
Just to make you aware, Dashingdon hosting will be closing soon so I would recommend moving this to cogdemos or uploading a compiled html file:
Link doesn’t work
Dashingdon links wont work because that was shut down im not sure if they have migrated to cogdemo yet so just half to be patient.
Hey everyone, how are you doing?
Sorry for been absent for so long, but the good news is that I’m still working on the project.
I love this story too much to let it go. (Even though is short until now)
These are some important informations you probably wish to know:
︎I’m currently making a lot of changes on the first chapter.
*I’m still feeling very dissatisfied with my writing style, so that’s why I intended to rewrite a lot of things to improve it. Feedback is always welcomed. *
︎ The following updates will take indefinite time to be made, because this time I intend to upload entire chapters instead of just some WIP branches.
︎ I’m still working on the lawyer and police background.
I’m also rewriting a lot of things on these branches
■ And finally, here is the new link:
The Legion background and holding to your Morals against the Cartels is my favorite so far.
Definitely would be interesting to see in the future, depending on what organization your apart of, there influence and how they’ll interact with other factions.
Example being, the Legion Definitely feels like a 3rd Military Faction in how there built up.
Also the Cops? Though there Civil, it’s important to have there Loyalty whether your a Dictator or Democrat.
I wouldn’t discredit your work in Chapter 1.
Very eager for Chapter 2, it feels where the big choices are going to be made in terms of government, where as Chapter 1 was Character Building. Though I understand, your want to get the Foundations done.
The legend returns
