Regarding one of the outcome about the satyr.
In A’s story, one of the outcome to save and heal the satyr require 50 healer stat and 50 persuasion stat making it impossible to get the outcome since at best you can get around 30 stat for the secondary skill at the point of this story.

I’ve just checked the files and you are completely right, one of the options is bugged! I’ll raise it with HG people to see if we can do something about it. HOWEVER, fear not, for now, you can still save them!

You just have to attempt to convince the satyr to help you, or try and heal them yourself. Then, you will either succeed the Healer check, or you will be thrown into a conversation with R, where you can dissuade them from entering and therefore grant the Healer sufficient time to save the satyr!

Thank you for noticing this!!

You can send corrected files to HG, and they’ll update the game as you send them in.

However, updates may cause players to lose their current progress, so unless it is a serious bug, you might want to consolidate bugfixes for a week or so, before pushing out everything at one shot. Players have panned games when updates caused progress to be reset.

Oh, damn, that’s quite unfortunate… thank you for the recommendation! So far it has been the only noticeable bug people have found, so I might wait not to ruin anyone’s game. Let’s see how it goes ^^ But I’ll post a warning on my Tumblr page about the bug too, so people are aware of it.

So sorry for this! I don’t know how I’ve missed it, it’s quite an obvious one… an ‘and’ instead of an ‘or’ :smiling_face_with_tear:

If you choose a Sword or Bow in the beginning, can you learn magic afterwards to become a mixed fighter? Like could I become a Magic Knight if I wanted to or are you strictly limited to whichever weapon you pick?

You’re not limited! ^^ The first skill you pick will be your Primary skill, that your MC can use with most confidence to pass the checks! Then, you can also choose to pick a Secondary skill - this is in case you want to have a mixed build, or if you want to have a bit more uncertainty to the skill checks later in the game. Finally… no one stops you from attempting to learn something from scratch. The consequences? Only for you to find out…

The one and only limitation that exists is that warriors stick to their weapon of choice. That’s to make sure you are carrying your weapon with you; otherwise, you’ll find it hard to suddenly swing a sword you don’t actually have!

So I can become a Magic Knight? Good to know. What about weapon choices? If I pick the Sword, do more weapon options open up for me like Greatswords, Polearms, Hammers, etc later on or do I stick to the Sword throughout Book 1?

Book I is about bow or sword. This book is to give you an understanding of the world, the story, the characters, and most importantly, yourself, as you begin as someone of noble roots but ultimately just a humble adventurer wrapped into a greater mess!

Book II is going to unleash much more potential, focusing even more on your power development and your uniqueness - I definitely want to implement more customisation for your fight/issue handling styles, and a greater choice of weapon is one of the ways for it! ^^

Honestly, I’m still in shock I actually published this book, but I’m using all the feedback I am getting from people to make sure my further work only builds upon this experience and makes something (hopefully) even better and fun to read ^^
