Forgive me if this was asked about before, but how exactly does blood purity work? I was under the impression that it was measuring an amount of mystical power in one’s blood and comparing it to the Living God, but then it says that the First Emperor only had 100% purity. Do they think it’s possible to go higher than that?

I’m like 90% sure that’s just a joke

Goddamn it, I really need to rewrite that sentence huh. Not, it means: even the FE had 100%, so it’s impossible to be higher than that.

Lol how are we supposed to restore our clan without procreating the MC and his father are the only two people in the entire world with the last name Wu ehhh maybe it’ll be a epilogue type anecdote about how we went on to have kids after the everything is said and done

I’d very much like it if things like this took into account how you’ve played your character up to this point. My Young Master is honorable and reasonably humble, he wouldn’t mock someone during a fight, no matter how big a gap there is in their skills.

Same with this one. I let Mo Long get up because it was the honorable option (like allowing Tigress to stand during the tournament). Not because I thought he was a little bitch.

I mean, we already have Honorable/Demonic. It’s not an exact one to one, but I feel like it fits pretty well. Especially in most books like this I’ve read honorable and humble seem to go hand in hand, and boastful tends to be aligned with the more chaotic/“evil” characters.

that would be neat, though the author would probably have to introduce a personality stat into the game to keep track of that kinda thing(along the lines of arrogant/humble). The games already got a lot going on so the author might not be up for it.

It actually already has that, it’s just not shown in the stats screen anymore, probably to avoid clutter.

It’s more like ‘ONLY the First Emperor had 100% purity’ in term of what it’s supposed to mean.

In Mo Long case you aren’t actually talking to Mo Long he’s in Devil Breakout Mode so it’s maybe half Mo Long half crazy alter ego Devil at that point

Will he’s a powerful shangatian with a lot of resources and contacts … On the other side you’re still being hunted by the demon queen which happens to be the second powerful person in the world soooo … I don’t know

Yh it seems like it would be some type of epilogue thing. There is also a thing common in choice script games where the characters story is finished and they are in in their prime in this case, the mc might be allowed to reach Shangtian or become the most powerful being and live happily ever after not exactly allowing to live your life per say. I also personally agree that procreation should be allowed at some point and also like a way to different paths e.g living lavishly not training actually having an impact on the storyline but there is really no reason to complain now. If the author deems it alright he will add it eventually.

I don’t understand…

I know I should probably be already familiar with this, but what’s the difference between Houtian, Xiantian, Shantian, to the qi condensation, foundation establishment etc. in the game? I’ve read the books but I’m still a bit confused.

They are different levels of cultivation. In most wuxia novels the cultivation they are talking about is cultivating the Tao and growing your internal energy. The game seems to be leaning away from the more spiritual roots for the most part and framing cultivation much more in terms of physical training and alchemy.

The difference between the stages are also exponential. Just as a mortal who has almost no inner energy would have absolutely no chance fighting even a newly awoken Houtian (as you can see in the tournament fight between the MC and Tang Ruo), even the most experienced Houtian would have no chance against even the newest Xiantian.

Thanks matey, that cleared it a bit, guess I’ve been thinking of it like in the novels I previously read, glad it got cleared up.

What stops an early houtian to claim to be peak houtian? How can anyone tell which level someone is?

Skills? The fact they fold like paper if they’re tested?
