Chu Aiguo is nice because he doesn’t do anything, so I can reap some of the other benefits of having a master (+100 sect points a week, yeah babeeee) while also deluding telling myself I succeeded based on my own hard work.
Plus I like teaching others as well, so the opportunity to directly oversee training of 2-3 kids is a big boon to me

On another note, I love the idea of the entire verse dumping their charisma. In this case, Xiwen losing to 2000 would mean he’s probably below 1500 and this guy is an outlier, literally yapping about music having power. We’re probably top of the verse in this field with only 5000 points.
I fear the power end game charisma builds will have. Maybe we’ll convince the final boss to Tang Wei himself, fallout style.

How far do you think we’ll be able to take it in the tournament? I just saw Nicky say Ai might not survive the tournament in a tumblr post. It got me thinking of a MC with asura transformation making Ai regress back to the day her parents died before killing her.
The lack of deathmatches in our current arena is kind of a bummer, considering half the opponents actually try to kill us. We’re doing extra work for less funds…
Longwei in particular pisses me off. “Victory or defeat, there’s nothing in between. You either give up now or I’ll escalate and only one of us will walk out of here alive.” YOU BAFFOON. What are you even doing in regular matches??? What, you want me to take it easy on you while you try to murder me? I take this guy out so he can’t pull this crap on anyone else. Same with the illusion girl, who filled me with so many swords that some of them are probably still in my system. I beat her ass even with my virtuous mc.

Once you finish your performance, you find Xiwen with a comforting, yet awkward expression.

If you have charisma of 2000+ then you win. The only way to get the comment you’re not good at poetry is to have charisma below 1250.
Is there any chance you haven’t advanced to the next stage yet and are stuck with attributes cap of 1000?
