this is a good take. i actully was interested to see if our interaction with her at the village alters her approach to her cause post time skip. imagine shes strong af and just bullying nobles now lol
also this is one of the first threads ive been really active in and i want to thank everyone for being engaging and kind even though we dont always agree, it makes it way more comfortable to state my opinion c;

Well Ai is prolly one of the most interesting characters potential wise because all other ROs are already certified badass in a way.No need to explain for Ruo and Caihong, Tigress is a survivor but unlike Ai she decided to fight,Mei is …Mei.and Xiwen is doing a Spy movie Cosplay smh.So Ai is just a normal person who try to be exceptionnal to achieve her idealistic goals, don’t forget that at first TW was just a hopeless simp.So yea I won’t sleep on her and I’ll see how she will decide to face fate and the monsters she’ll have to take down.

I am rather curious about the post time skip Ai, although i fear the game will simply decide that since my MC hasn’t established good enough relationship with her before then things will simply remain in this neutral limbo, at best. I also wonder if people who were initially drawn to Ai being somewhat helpless and/or soft won’t find a stronger and more self-assured Ai (if that’s where it goes) someone who lacks that initial appeal. I guess we’ll see.
It’s a hard question, i can’t say i have a favorite, really and there’s wide range of things i’ll enjoy. If i had to single one thing, i guess i have a soft spot for earnest and thoughtful people?
(i realize this can sound pretty ironic in the context of my reaction to Ai, but in my defense i think she fails pretty hard that “thoughtful” bit /s)

Ai had no problem with trying to fight the MC in the fight with LC though, which makes me believe that she can be manipulated into dropping her ideals under the right conditions.

I mean Ai can also be a villain of your story but yea I wonder how relationship will develop too.It’s funny because each RO can be an important antagonist of your story.There is on overarching villain.Well.i’ll guess hunt some lizard for my sweet dragon (don’t mind me I’m just simping)

nah i can definitely see where you’re coming from. ngl theres some attitude parallels between the new mission princess and ai but what i do like is that she does seem the be the ro with the most potential for change.
she did say that was because he saved her life, so ig she felt indebted to him, to some extent

Well LC saved her life twice and in the q&a she basically described him as his real only friend.If u talked to her after she’ll feel very very disappointed in him.But yea ig she’ll have to accept some harsh realities of the Martial World.

Not going to lie, the only RO I didn’t really see the appeal of, even from a friend’s perspective is Guo( well hes not an RO anymore so, shrug!). He’s just kind of scammy and scummy to MC in nondirect ways. I get he’s trying to save himself from bankruptcy but dang dude. But I see the appeal with AI, even Mei Mei (ty for the poison resistance trait babe).
But Ai definitely could end up being a bestie gone rogue, especially if she takes her idealistic mindset to like the other side. But I feel like all the ROs have the potential to go overboard with their ideals. Its foreshadowed as much when talking about Tang Ruo. And I can definitely see the narrative building for Ai as well…

Not really. Being non-committal will save you the immediate fail on the very first step, but you still have to voice opinions that match her own in order to get invite for her mission later (it requires opinion of 53+) and to develop some actual relationship.
And frankly, i don’t want my MC to be noncommittal about nobles when she is one. If that’s immediate dealbreaker for Ai then so be it, she can then be all hypocritical and cry how comes people can’t come to agreement through talking and without using force when she’s one of these very people who don’t want to talk… all she wants on her own.

LC only finished what we started with the wolf. In a sense, I would argue that we were the first one to save her life, even if it doesn’t appear that way. While we were busy fighting the wolf, she could’ve ran, so we definitely gave her time if nothing else.

Ai seems to think in absolutes, so she probably only sees the end result of things. Which kinda tracks onto her ideals anyway. She wants a world of equality but has literally no idea on what she has to do to get there. But we can just blame that on her being short-sighted and immature

I think all I did was a boastful “eh, who cares if your goal is impossible, I’ll do it anyway 'cause I’m that awesome”, and that put me in the green. Don’t know if the relationship values changed since then making that approach impossible.
But hey, i’m not trying to convince you of anything, it’s fine not liking some characters. I find the contradictions between her goals and her personality interesting, as is the fact that she’s at least partially aware of her own inconsistencies, but that’s a me thing.

Tbh Caihong want to genocide the Tangs Ruo is a future tyrant Tigress will be a massive murderer and Mei is already a serial killer.Ig that’s why Ai feels a little bland compared to other but she has the potential to be a Noble killer.A sane DQ in a way a Ice empress or something

Noble Killer Ai sounds so bad ass ngl. I’m so excited for Book 2. I usually role a virtuous MC that’s like “Hey, the weak eat the strong and that sucks but that’s life you know. But I’m strong enough that I won’t be cruel” but watching AI go from this kinda ungrounded motivional speaker to a political assassin would be so cool…
