Prior to the expedition, learn one or all of the martial arts below to get +1 to the respective dao:
- Void Step +1 Space Dao
- Scortching Kicks +1 Elemental Dao
- Heaven Palm/Sixty Fists/Demon Finger +1 Body Dao
After waking up from a coma post expedition, you are presented with 3 selectable choices (can only select 1) that depends on the above martial arts learnt:
- Summon a Flame +1 Elemental Dao
- Grab the Vase +1 Space Dao
- Imbue your palm +1 Body Dao
+1 to Elemental Dao during a Chu Aiguo master event: when Jingbei forfeits. Say “Yes” to “… do you practice water techniques”
+1 to Body Dao during a Yang Bohai master event when you reach the last/99th step
+1 to Space Dao (Idk if MG is needed as your master for this) during the rebel(?) fight event:
“Utilise your void dao” → “Try a new way of manipulating the void” → “Endure it and forcefully submit the void”
(This doesn’t give you any +1 to space dao, but having MG as a master unlocks an event where you spend a total of 10 qi to unlock what seems to be a future ability)
Xi Wen/Omnisicent sage event +1 to the respective dao:
(MUST HAVE CUCUMBER)
- “Focus on the knowledge of elements”
- “Focus on the intricacies of the body”
- “Focus on the secrets of space”

Just to confirm we can only get poison resistance through Witch Mei-Mei, right? Just confirming in case Nick changed something.

Yes, you still get it from Mei-Mei, accept the healing stuff from her, and later on you have to endure the poison without help. Hope that helps 
and yeah I think thats the only way to get it
