Really enjoying this so far. My preferred fighting style would be up close but defensive.
Just incase you find it interesting; Kata are the movements and how they link together specifically in Karate.
I have been learning Taekwondo for the past 6 months and so the Korean Taekwondo equivalent of Kata are called Patterns.
It all looks fancy and decorative but each component of the pattern is a specific move with a specific reasoning behind it be it a block or a strike.
Just thought I’d share.

I was able to add more content since my last update post, all focused on Chapter 1. So unfortunately, I wasn’t able to squeeze Chapter 2 content because I haven’t officially started yet.
But I did add one small sneak peek at the end… ;D

Glad you’re enjoying the game! I’ve actually been digging into that kind of stuff while writing the kata scenes. In the story, they’re mostly for training discipline and muscle memory. I really wanted to capture the feeling of learning to weave… and that has me burning the midnight oil. Trying to strike between interesting and informative ( ´ ∀ `)ノ~ ゜
If you don’t mind me asking (totally no pressure), what do you think of how it’s been used in the story so far? Would really love to hear some honest feedback from someone who has experience. Either way, thank you so much for your comment!

They really can’t catch a break. Just when things start to settle, the past shows up swinging.
At this point even with therapy its gonna take a long time for them to try and find peace with their past.
How ahort is Luna? 5 ft short or 5’3 short?
All I know is that apparently according to her she is the shortest usually which why she found it funny when she meets a short MC. I think she’s the shortest
Yea i know but its kinda vague. Luna could be 6 ft tall which is shorstest among the ROs but above average height. I found it funny that she was happy to have someone shorter. Just curious and i like to get a mental picture

Error found: Merciful and vengeance stats r opposite, when MC accidentally shocked Alec/Leo and decides if they liked hurting someone or not
yknow i kinda wonder if itd be possible to get a fighting style thats totally berserk, like the mc temporarily snapping from all that repressed tension and going ballistic. then after calming down my otherwise gentle mc would probably break down crying over the damage they did
i imagine mother dearest would be fully willing to make us suffer as much as possible to draw that rage out
It wouldn’t be surprising if the MC snaps. Their emotional scars are still raw. It gonna take someone understanding and patient to help calm the MC down. Luna seems to fit the bill for my MC.
Top ten writing in IF history
Best update yet. It handled the elemental aspect of the weaves better than some games I played before with element powers. It was nice to finally get some information about L and C. They might look untouchable to things but it seems they have some demons of their own to handle like us.
The MC actually snapped like I feared since they were forced to remember how they were told to fight by u know. Everyone freaked out a bit since we all expected a noob performance trying. Even J was shaken a bit despite trying to hide it. Hopefully it gets easier with time but everyone saw a glimpse of the MC broken from something. I look forward to chapter 2. PS I liked our first diary entry getting filled out exactly how the everything happened and what MC thought of the characters. My MC was sus of Luna’s constant friendly behavior but he can’t hate her after everything that happened.
Is it just me or does the MC apparently being an underground pit fighter just…come out of left field for anyone else? A and L just start talking about katas like it’s a thing we’re supposed to know. And I guess we do, because that’s a thing now??
I mean it’s not like we know anything about the main character. And given that the story is based on Avatar: The Last Airbender, the fact that the main character is involved in martial arts isn’t all that surprising.
Yep mother will do anything to make the MC useful. The MC had it rough reliving that moment to be able to use their new power. The MC doesn’t know a lot about themselves since what they thought they knew was a lie.
Noticed one immersion breaking bug for me:
Alec is a cute guy in my plathroughs, not a girl.

Lol yeah if your getting that message ether yiu need to pull the link from the cog demos site itself. Or i think you need to add at the end of the link " mygame " at least if i recall correctly on that part.
