Always kind of assumed that nanovores were a technological wonder, seing how completely in awe Dr.Mortum is when presented with them. But Argent being their source is possiblity.

The Nanosurge and her powers are indeed just too well-timed to be coincidental :

I think that Argent must have been in Los Diablos during the swarm to come in contact with nanos. And as she was going to be devoured, she took the hero drug and ended up being merged with them. Could also explain why her family has no idea who she is now, probs thinks she’s dead.

Then maybe the power she gained interacted weirdly with nanovores, like let’s say material mimicry, that allowed her body to turn into any material when touched. So when she came in contact with nanovores, her body had to split into a multitude of sentient beings congregated in a hive mind, changing her biology forever and making it so she is still being eaten up from the inside. That fusion would have somehow cancelled out her original power, because she was changed on a molecular level. This theory is kinda wobbly honestly, but hey, I had fun …

and also make me wonder, if the thing she want badly as do ‘some’ mc…will work . Would she go back to human ? No super skin, no super abilitie…no power ? what would she do? can it kill her ? can those nano thing fight back and eat her before she can be ‘cured’ ?

This is sort of close to what I am guessing. I tend to think it will have more to do with the way the MC stopped the nanovores and the farm and their experiments. But the same basic idea. The first step of the creation of her skin was there.

My thoughts exactly, your first blurred paragraph! But for the 2nd part, I had thought maybe her situation might be a little something like a parasitic symbiosis of mutualism. Like, as long as that certain part of her they feed on is healthy/focused, she wouldn’t be entirely devoured; meanwhile she could reform the shape of them/herself into claws or tentacle bits, etc. “Only” the minor microabrasion issues when she touches something (like MC’s chest plate, Edit: & MC’s lips? b/c you inexplicably taste a little blood even when she doesn’t bite), and the ongoing pain (& bouts of muscle crampy anger?) to deal with…

About the micro-abrasions & light blood coming from Argent’s “superfine sandpaper” body/touch… Anyone else already ponder on what more intimate moments with her would be like for you?

Did her boost skin/molecular makeup exist before nanovore swarm, or did the boost give her the molecular makeup that managed to save her. :thinking: unfortunately still kinda chicken-or-the-egg until we know how/why she boosted…

Regarding the discussion up top about some of the dialogue choices in the game being confusing, wouldnt it also be great to have the option of keeping things as is? I mean for me personally, its quite nice to actually try to flesh out the choices, determining whether or not its an option to either flirt or hurt the character im talking with in the story. I dunno about alot of you but for me, it gives out a vibe that im actually the protagonist in a sense that im the one scheming, the one thinking about what to say and not just a reader following along with the story that choosing a dialogue option with a “flirt” hint on the side gives me.

The problem with that in real character I know if I AM FLIRTING or not I am angry or not. If you don’t give context of the tone to player you could end like in Dragon age 2 when I killed a blood mage without want do that. The choice was something like STOP using blood mage on me… well I killed the girl from that simply stop I didn’t want to kill her.

Then I a not native. Maybe a small line has a context in an argot that could make you assume is a romance choice I haven’t that context and no dictionary show that. So I think is very unfair force me to romance character I directly don’t like because of an arcane meaning in American English

Yes, exactly. The difficulty of understanding the dialogues in the game varies depending on the person, so my advice is this, why not add a choice button at the very start of the game wherein you could either play it with hints like for example “flirt”, “hurt” added to the corresponding dialogues, making it easier to understand or choose to play it the way it currently is now.

I am going to see if this is viable within choice codings, not sure, but it would simplify everything. I did it for the achievements in book one.

EDIT: It looks like I will have to duplicate every romance choice in the code to do that, one for the romance marker, one for the ones without. Doable but would REALLY bloat the code. If anybody has any ideas how to manage something like this, please lemme know.

Multireplace somehow? That’s what I used for my unreleased explicit vs non explicit version game.

I think I might have something, testing it now. (I have no idea what multireplace, will look into it later).

EDIT: It worked! I can now have a choice at the start for people to enable the flirty marker or not.

I think same @Laguz multi-replace is most practical Another way is just to make a variable similar to the one you have for achievement hidden.
