@cultivator-anon sorry to bother, but a stupid question. In the previous versions of the game the weighted clothing was equipped in the accessory slot. But in the current version of the demo it seems that it goes in the outfit slot instead:
Just wondering if it’s a bug or intentional change. It potentially creates a small discrepancy since iirc there’s some places where MC is mentioned to wear Thunderall garb which, well, now wouldn’t be the case for most players, with the weighted clothing going in that slot.
This change has also a bug as side-effect – loading old save where the weighted clothing is in accessory slot and then unequipping it doesn’t free up weighted agility core, effectively reducing total amount of agility cores by 1. Since the game no longer checks for weighted clothing in accessory slot.
Hmm bit weird then, since it effectively ensures that entire category of equipment will remain unused (because who is going to wear something other than a huge boost to AP) At least with accessories you’d have one slot still free.
Can’t help but think at this point it might work better if the weights simply had a dedicated slot/toggle of their own, so they don’t limit options like that.
When i said “unused” i was referring to outfits other than the weighted clothing. Which simply don’t hold a candle to it, benefits-wise.
Please tell me, just what outfit items do you get in Ch.7 that provide effects better than nearly doubling your AP gains on numerous occasions? You can spoil the stats, i don’t mind. Because from what i can see in the game script so far there’s just a pair of Gis. One gives you +1 health and the other +1 chi. No one in their right mind would claim these are even equivalent, let alone better, alternatives.
You can always put the details in the spoilers, but it’s hard to have any sensible discussion where you’re basically saying “trust me bro”. Scaling hardly matters here – I seriously can’t think of anything an item could provide alternatively to AP gains that’d make it a preferable option in the slot, so i’d love to see actual example of something that makes you claim such thing. Especially when there’s no sign of anything like that in the game’s files which already seem to include at least large part of Ch.7 items.

Also scaling does matter the AP you gain from weighted clothing is based off of athletics (and some other things also help it) if you don’t build around it it’s not gonna be that useful to you
It’s not that important to me. I’ll simply write that off as what it seems – a poor excuse that fell apart as soon as i questioned about the details.
Regarding athletics, yes. it does provide additional AP. But even without it the extra AP you get is still infinitely more useful than a bonus point to a stat you never really need and rarely use.
Game Status: Currently the next update is a little over 100k words, still work to do, and Oblivion Remastered just came out. I’ll get back to work in a week
I wonder how much more opportunities will the MC have after the first 3 trials? There is a lot of potential for the MC to become as OP as an Isekai Anime Character even with either the Jade Dragon Foundation or Mortal Limits
