I go to the temple because so far it’s the only place to get the Light element, and I really want to play a character that is attuned to both Light and Darkness elements, just Ying-Yang that shit.

I go Fire and Light for my exorcist character, fire for offense and light for movement and illusions, and both flames and light have connotations of purification.
Also totally not a coincidental reference to Blue Flame Exorcist.

Going to the temple also allows to improve Jin’s combat skill by 1 point, if he’s got the aura by the time you fight the Grim. Tbh it makes more sense to me if you go there just for a quick 2 month training session, i really don’t see any benefit in wasting two extra months just for a silly bit of text with a rando.

Just finished playing through both the ‘normal’ and ‘cheat’ mode for the Midorikatai style path up to chapter 5, and this is definitely one of the best wuxia/xianxia games I’ve ever seen. Loving the story and mechanics so far, and the various gals are also pretty great! Probably the funniest thing about the path I chose is the fact that the mc’s fighting style is kind of like WWE wrestling.
The only slight problem that I have with the story is honestly just the fact that we don’t get to spend a lot of time with the romance options. Which is a bit of a shame because all of them seem lovely. On that note though, kinda hoping for a poly/harem path where we can get it on with multiple characters or at least more than a single one.

I do think a harem route would make a ton of sense in a wuxia story like this, it’s be awesome to see all the love interests interact or at the very least respond to the MCs want for a harem.

A storm happens eventually around the middle of the story. You don’t need to do anything special, just keep playing.
