Technically he is a criminal, and in the lore counts as a villain. Though he is rarely the antagonist in the books, he causes problems for people like Miranda, spirits, his companions, and entire cities (like when he ‘stole’ a king).

Technically sure, but he never steals from poor, the whole point of his bounty system goal was to steal from people who can post bounties for his theft.

I read the books long time ago, so I don’t recall the 1st one as clearly but didn’t kidnapping the king kind of save him, otherwise his brother would have killed him?

Accidental and unintended heroism. According to Miranda, at least, is if he hadn’t stolen the king the brother couldn’t have gotten the influence he needed. The brother needed access to the treasury, which contained the spirit of the inland sea (great big water spirit). The only way to get in was for everyone to think the king was dead, and that he (the brother) had nothing to do with it. Sure he could have just enslaved the spirits to gain entry but it was made very clear that the more you try to enslave spirits, the weaker that enslavement is overall. Given the number he would need to enslave to get through to the king, they would have rebelled and killed him. Especially given how difficult it was to enslave the water spirit at the end.

The pressure he placed on Nico led to the problems in the third book (though his mere presence in the city in the second book would lead to it being saved). Anyway, this kicked off the plot thread with the first ever deaf human seed, who also had the second most powerful demon seed in him. He was then unleashed on the world needing the intervention of the League (leading to the death of dozens of innocent people and thousands of spirits).

The seed was taken and this led to the events of the fifth book which nearly ended the world.

Again, not intended, but still a consequence of his actions.

Megatron: Transformers Prime/War for cybertron/Fall of cybertron - they all take place in the same universe. And even though I’m an Autobot to the heart, Megatron is a powerhouse!

Then there’s Unicron also know has: the Distroyer, the chaos bringer, the planet eater and depending on what Transformers universe you’re watching, Earth, Yes you read that right. . In the transformers multiverse he’s basically the god of evil.

The Darkling, from Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone Trilogy. I’ve only recently finished it, after reading the Six of Crows duology, and while I 100% adored SoC to Shadow and Bone, The Darkling presented such an amazing villain. I remember my girlfriend read it first, so knew what happened, but I started gushing about how cool and awesome The Darkling seemed.

Little did I know.

His presence, abilities, charisma, the way he makes you want to do what he says. And the way he is, in some small way, still a boy at heart. The ending tore me apart. Very well-written and thought out character.

Bonus, he’s being portrayed by Ben Barnes in the Netflix adaptation.

First point I’ll give you but for the rest you are ignoring the role the shepherdess plays, the only reason Nicolas is alive the whole while is shepherdess wants to keep her alive and use the seed inside her as a knife/sword.

There is going to be Netflix adaptation for the trilogy?

Yep. The first season covers Shadow and Bone and acts as a prequel for Six of Crows.

Jessie Mei Li plays Alina Starkov, Ben Barnes as The Darkling, Archie Renaux as Mal Oretsev, Daisy Head as Genya Safin, and Sujaya Dasgupta as Zoya Nazyalensky.

In SOC Freddy Carter plays Kaz Brekker, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, and Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa.

Great news.

Personally my favorite bad would be bayaz from first law. Being the bad guy in a world where there really are no good guys takes some doing.

Oh she is most definitely evil. No question. But the fact that Eli is the same at the end of the series as he is at the beginning when he ransomed an innocent person is why I still consider him a villain (at least in the story).

Doctor Hienz Doofenshmirtz. He is a 47 year old scientist who wants to rule over tri-state area(and to humiliate his young brother). This funny evil scientist with the most tragic backstories ever ,never gives up and he keeps on making evil schemes and plans, despite continuously getting failed .
