Hello everyone,
This is a guide on how to get all 48 achievements (regular + secret) in case you are struggling on the the interactive story by Jeffrey Dean that I have collected from this tread (copied/pasted), a question/answer on reddit (copied/pasted) + steam (copied/pasted), and with my own experience.
Without further ado, below is the following achievement with how to get it.
Achievements
-
Truth: Discovered the truth about the humans’ medical experiments. (5 points)
- How: Complete Chapter 1
-
Rope Climber: Won in a climbing competition against Tiva. (5 points)
- How: In chapter 1, You have the choice climb the rope or not. Choose to the rope with the additional text being: Any challenge can be likened to a battle; I just need to be faster than my opponent and never stop moving. Tip: Choose combat heavy options in the prologue to help boost this option (the same can be said for the other climbing options too). Additional tip: If you finished the game already, you can choose to go on the Free Ride mode and can choose any of the climb the rope options.

Proven Builder: Proved yourself in the fires of the metal shop. (5 points)
- How: In chapter 2, Impress Haken in the workshop (“I have no intention of being bullied around all evening. I’ll be more efficient if he just stays out of my way.”). You need to lose the climbing challenge to Tiva in order to swap work places [chapter 1]. Tip: Do not focus on vitality options to not increase the stat.
-
A Good First Impression: Impressed Bly with your skills. (5 points)

-
Not Today: Prevented Tiva from killing a retreating soldier. (10 points)
- How: In chapter 3 when Tiva has a gun pointed at those how just beat her, pick the “Prevent the shot. I try to knock the gun from her hands.” to get this achievement. Tip: have a high Vitality % (I think this one is the closet to agility you have in the game. Also, I got it with a 46% on Standard Mode)
-
Peacenik: Negotiated an early end to the demonstration. (10 points)
- How: In chapter 4 when the pack gathers for a nonviolent protest and met with the army, choose “Try to negotiate an end to the protest in exchange for Ahote’s life.” Option, but you must have a high Diplomacy to get the achievement. Note: I got it at 49% diplomacy.
-
Gnothi Seauton: Proved yourself in Ahote’s training room. (15 points)
- How: In chapter 5, when in Ahote’s testing chamber, you need to choose the option “I stay put and try to find my tranquil center, tamping down the rage of the beast inside” in order to get this achievement
-
Not Quite Right: Uncovered evidence of a potential traitor. (10 points)
- How: you have to go through the Surgery door on chapter 10, then choose to investigate the groans and help the man.
-
Rage: Mastered the Rage skill. (15 points)
- How: Train with Bly at every opportunty. She’ll teach you her unique ability, Rage, which will earn you the achievement.
-
Deathless: Mastered Jolon’s ultimate stealth technique. (15 points)
- How: Train with Jolon at every opportunty. He teach you the ultimate stealth technique, which will earn you the achievement.
-
Advanced Academic: Became Ahote’s prize pupil. (15 points)
- How: Study with Ahote at every opportunty. This will earn you the achievement.
-
Detective: Found evidence of foul play on the night of the Hunter’s Moon. (10 points)
- How: In chapter 6, choose these options “Run straight to them” and then “Investigate for clues”. You should get the achievement
-
A Friend In Need: Brought Tiva back home and kept her safe. (15 points)
- How: you need to personally help Tiva in chapter 7 after finding her high on drugs. While searching for Bly, choose to search her apartment (I believe this requires staying with Jolon at the beginning of the search.) When you find Tiva in Bly’s apartment, offer to take her to Ahote yourself, (don’t send Jolon or leave her where you found her.) That should trigger the achievement.
-
To The Rescue!: Saved Bly before she could be captured. (20 points)
- How: In chapter 7, when Jolon comes to you for Bly potentially in danger either go alone or together (doesn’t matter), but you will need to head in the direction of the maze—get pass the soldiers if alone and succeed or if with Jolon head to the school aka the building where Bly trains in + deal with Rost however you like (another achievement is within this option)— find Bly hiding (pick what ever you feel like for that) but after pick “We need a plan. If I can convince Bly to listen, we can coordinate our defense” and have a high diplomacy
-
Packleader: Defeated Haken in the packleader election. (20 points)
- How: get Leadership stats the pack reputation high and win the debate with Harken. Typically works if you have the reputation of Pillar of the Community.
-
Infiltration: Escaped an attempted kidnapping and infiltrated the military base. (5 points)
- How:
- There are different ways to do this:
- “I get up and quietly circle behind the invaders in the dark.”
stealth > 74 or stealth > 59 and stealth device then choose “I follow the soldiers”. You’ll need intimidation > 44 if you take “Nothing loosens a man’s tongue quite like fear.” - “I leap to the other room, claws bared and ready to take down as many soldiers as I can.” Or choosing to attack them after stealth.
combat > 74 or combat > 59 and special skill rage - “I stay in bed and pretend to sleep”
If you have feral < 40 or special skill heart then combat > 54, otherwise standard combat. - “I imitate an officer’s voice”
diplomacy > 64 and leadership > 34 then you get to choose the same 3 options as in stealth. - Use the gun, if you have it, for automatic success
- “I get up and quietly circle behind the invaders in the dark.”
- There are different ways to do this:
- How:
-
Just Dropping In: Reversed an ambush with a surprise attack from above. (15 points)
- How: It’s in chapter 10. You must be captured at the end of chapter 9 so you are a prisoner, not the one doing the rescuing. The key here is that you MUST be rescued by Bly or Jolon, not Dena or Tiva. Before reaching the jail cells, Bly and Jolon will notice a hidden door with a ladder. You must take the ladder and then choose to drop down on the soldiers from above and attack. To have your companion here be Bly or Jolon, I believe you have to romance one of them or simply have a really high score with them. I’m not sure if it’s possible without romancing them off the top of my head
-
Lab Rat: Discovered Dr. Leaman’s regenerative serum, derived from werewolf blood. (20 points)
- How: You’ll need a lot of Academics for this. While searching the military compound after you or your RO were captured, search the science labs (I think you can only do this if you’re rescuing your RO, not if you were captured yourself) and you’ll find Dr.Leaman there. She’ll assume that you’re a new assistant and ask for your help. If you have enough Academics, she’ll be impressed by your intelligence and explain her experiments which will give you the achievement.
-
A Bloody Revenge: Colonel Williams is dead, defeated at last. But something doesn’t feel quite right…. (15 points)
- How: For this one, you’ll need a LOT of combat. During the finale, after Elan shows up but right before you’re trapped in the decontamination center, when asked what you will do if it’s a trap, say that you’ll fight your way out if necessary. If you have enough Combat, you’ll be able to defeat the guards when they attack you. Afterwards you’re going to need even more Combat because you’ll have to select to fight Williams to the death and he is a tough cookie.
-
M1 Abrams: You charged a tank and shut it down single-handed. (20 points)
- How:
- One way-
- If your character and Ahote and other companion(s) meet Haken and his warlike wolves at the far end of the Military base, opt to first scold Haken for his attack (e.g. I had been elected Packleader, and he acted without my consent), then escort your companions back home, instead of joining in Haken’s attack.
- After the killing of the boy/girl soldier, carry on towards the Q bridge, instead of turning around to deal with the troops ‘on your six’ that Payat alerts your company to
- The tank is sighted. Make a direct attack (I passed the stats test with Combat 75%). That should win you the achievement!
- One way-
- How:
-
Feral Assault: Rost the feral wolf joined you in battle. (15 points)
- How: Go alone to find Bly, head to the maze, pick the option that you know what has happed to Rost. Later, the feral wolf will join you.
-
Active Activists: Finally met Anna face-to-face. (10 points)
- How: You can get this achievement if you maintained good relations with the activists and have a good public image
- you can reach the path of a choice to give the activists your coordinates on the radio [if you didn’t go in the communication room in the 10th chapter] and choose options that paint the pack in the best light [must have a great public’ opinion])
- With Tom the Merc, stick you head out of the window… this should get you this achievement
- They can break in and rescue you. Pick the option to stay with them
- How: You can get this achievement if you maintained good relations with the activists and have a good public image
-
Thwarted: Successfully thwarted Lapu’s betrayal. (20 points)
- How: Stop Lapu from injecting Haken. (Get more than one clue that he is a traitor.)
- You can get clues in a handful of chapters:
-
- Chapter 2: Sit alone during the first part of the play
- Chapter 3: Track down Tiva and Lapu and ask about Elan
- Chapter 4: After vote ask Lapu if he will tell you more
- Chapter 6
-
- A) Rush and try to get to the soldiers before the pack and either watch them from distance or attack them. If you attack you will get their orders and if you manage to kill them you get another clue.
B)Watch the ritual from cover or delay to listen and then cut off the pack. If you manage to beat Haken you will get the option to investigate the alley.
- A) Rush and try to get to the soldiers before the pack and either watch them from distance or attack them. If you attack you will get their orders and if you manage to kill them you get another clue.
- Chapter 7: If you obtained note with orders in chapter 6 you will get another clue.
- Chapter 9: If you leave the meeting alone you will meet Lapu and get another clue.
- Chapter 10: Help the soldier in the Surgery area
- Chapter 11: Watch the monitors in the office
- How: Stop Lapu from injecting Haken. (Get more than one clue that he is a traitor.)
-
Silver Tongue: You convinced Haken to let Williams live. (15 points)
- How: This is one of the hardest ones. First, gain Diplomacy whenever you can. Now, when you go to rescue your RO or are rescued yourself, make sure to do it as quickly as possible, do not meander around the base, go straight to your target. The next important bit is when you’re ambushed in the decontamination area. You’ll have to defeat the guards like above but you must not attack Williams or accuse him of being traitor. Pick all options that seem to agree with him. And this is why you needed to hurry up. If you took too long, guards will show up and attack Williams and you won’t get the achievement.
-
Victory: You’ve won the battle but the war is far from over. (20 points)
- How: In chapter 12, win the battle against the soldiers and pick options that will make sure that your pack+ yourself survives (tactical retreat but still attacking). You should get this achievement normally.
-
Sacrifice: Sacrificed yourself to save a packmate’s life. (15 points)
- How:
- If you fail the two fighting checks when battling Williams, Razor will jump in to help you.
- If you decide NOT to run, but instead to defend her against Williams AND your pack did poorly in the fighting beforehand, you will likely die here.
- When Razor intervenes you have to choose “I can’t let Razor die in my stead. I’ll fight to the death to defend her if that’s what it takes.” to get the selfless sacrifice achievement. You won’t get it if you choose to call for help.
- How:
-
Life Saver: Saved your packmate from a violent and bloody end. (15 points)
- How: In chapter 12, during the fight with William choose to go save Razor/character in the slot by making a tactical retreat to them. Make a decision that works well with your highest stats and choose the option that you have a possibility of saving this pack member. If you succeed, you will get this achievement.
-
The Cure: Through your actions and intervention, Rost’s mind will be free. (10 points)
- How: For this one, you’ll need Academics. When Bly is hunted by the military, choose to search for her with Jolon in the ruined area of Haven. When you encounter Rost, if you have high enough Academics, you’ll be able to promise him that you’ll find a cure for his Feral state. If you are taken to Sonoma’s camp during the epilogue, Rost will be there and you’ll get the achievement.
-
Confession: Lapu confessed his crimes against the pack. (20 points)
- How: you must have clues of Lapu’s betrayal (If you get the Not Quite Right achivement, it should be enough) and at chapter 12 when Lapu runs back to you, just choose to pull him aside and talk to him, then he should be able to confess.
-
Doggo: Wind! Car ride! Such happy! Much wow! (5 points)
- How: When with the mercs (one of them is named Tom), you have the option to put you had out the window. Pick this option and you should get this achievement.
-
Survivor: Survived your encounter with Colonel Williams and brought him down. (20 points)
- How: You’ll need to personally defeat Williams in his UberWolf form during the final battle but NOT kill him.
-
Pacifist: Completed the game without directly killing anyone! (20 points)
- How: To get this achievement, you need to finish the game without killing a single person. There are a lot of opportunities to kill during the game, so don’t chose those options. Rule of thumb, avoid combat as much as possible.
-
The Greater Good: Committed betrayal for the greater good. (15 points)
- How: You can do the Silver Tongue method to get this achievement. However, if you did everything right, you’ll be able to join Williams here in his mad quest to “cure” werewolfkind. Williams will join your side of the battle as Elan from here on out.Later, if you win the battle, Haken will reveal that he knows that Elan is Williams and attack you with his pack. To earn the achievement, you must convince him to let you and Williams go in peace hence why you needed all that Diplomacy.
- Additional Tip: in chapter 11, You must either FAIL your stat check to escape from the decontamination room where you are reverted to human form OR pass the check then decide to question Williams, but this will only work if you made no delays escaping during chapter 10, otherwise Williams’ soldiers will come too soon for you to question him. You must then have a neutral or higher reputation with the human military AND be less than 50% feral to open up the secondary line of discussion. From here, you will see choices beginning with “So you believe that your extreme measures are justified?” You must then side with Williams and NOT call him a traitor. This will switch your ending companion to “Elan”, open up a good deal of alt dialogue, and unlock an ending where you fight against Haken and leave Haven as dear ole’ dad’s protege. (Side note, the human army rep check for this is set at 25. ‘Disliked’ is 19 and lower, and ‘Neutral’ is 29 and lower.)
-
Patricide: Some deeds can’t be undone…. (10 points)
- How: You’ll need to personally kill Williams in his UberWolf form during the final battle. Rage will actually help you here so long as you don’t lose control.
-
Deceptive Revolutionary: You’ve been recruited by General Rivera, and the werewolf revolution has begun. (20 points)
- How: The DC branch (get captured after the battle). Includes 2 main endings. From here, werewolves who are particularly violent (or human-hating) will be likely to get chosen by General Rivera. You get to DC by not making close friends of the activists, not being overly liked by the military, and having low to moderate public sentiment.
-
Reunion: An unexpected reunion reveals the truth. (20 points)
- How: Get sent to DC, get questioned by General Rivera with a high public opinion and leave the activists to save your pack (on of the many ways you can end up here), sent in a cell with William (not recruited by her), ask him any question option, and you should get this achievement.
-
To War!: Threw your full, unconditional support behind the werewolf rebellion! (20 points)
- How: End the battle in the Sonoma camp and choose options that support them in a decisive manner. (No hesitation or second thoughts). To get a chance at this ending, you need to have by having high activist rep OR high public rep, OR high human military rep. None of these are a guarantee, but they give you a good shot.
-
Mansion Hideaway: Escaped to Anna’s mansion and recruited by General Rivera. (20 points)
- How: Escape with the activists to Anna’s father’s mansion. This ending is ONLY achievable with a very high activist rep, and by staying with them after they break in to save you.
- You can get this by maintaining good relations with the activists and have a good public image:
- You can reach the path of a choice to give the activists your coordinates on the radio [if you didn’t go in the communication room in the 10th chapter] and choose options that paint the pack in the best light [must have a great public’ opinion])
- With Tom the Merc, stick you head out of the window… this should get you this achievement
- They can break in and rescue you. Pick the option to stay with them
- You can get this by maintaining good relations with the activists and have a good public image:
- How: Escape with the activists to Anna’s father’s mansion. This ending is ONLY achievable with a very high activist rep, and by staying with them after they break in to save you.
-
Out of the Frying Pan: Discovered the true goal of the revolutionaries. (20 points)
- How: You need to get the Sonoma Camp ending by having high activist rep OR high public rep, OR high human military rep. None of these are a guarantee, but they give you a good shot, then pick options that make you wary of rebels. When you talk with Sonoma choose: “I believe that our species deserves to live free, but I’ve only just met you. I’ll join the fight, but only if you offer complete transparency.” or“It’s hard to trust a whole group of people that I’ve never met, but what choice do I have? “I’m in,” I say warily.” Later when you talk with Ahote choose: “I wish I could feel at home here, but I don’t. Sonoma rubs me the wrong way.”
-
A Peaceful Life?: Can a werewolf ever truly find peace? (20 points)
- How: Retire to a cabin. This ending may be reached by getting the Sonoma’s camp ending and refusing to fight, OR by befriending the military to a moderate degree, getting the sequence where they betray Williams, and choosing to leave with them when they offer you a ride to safety. Note: This is tough to get on purpose. If you want to get the cabin ending, I suggest going the Sonoma route.
-
Doing It Old School: Finished the game on Old School mode! (20 points)
- How: When choosing to save the game, you have the option to play it on Standard mode. Pick this and play the game.
Good Luck and have fun!
Late to playing this game, I know, but I’m having some trouble playing chapter 12 with a Sage build. Specifically this section that comes up after you fight Williams.
- I need to concentrate on fighting off Williams, or I could get myself killed! Jolon is capable, and I won’t do him any good if I’m dead!
- I can’t let Jolon be killed! I rush to his side to fight off the soldiers, turning my back to Williams.
- I can’t let Jolon be killed, but I also can’t turn my back on Williams. I retreat tactically in Jolon’s direction.
From what I can tell, the first option requires a combat check, the second a vitality check, and the third a stealth check. Is there any way to succeed here with a pure Sage build, ie Leadership + Academics + Diplomacy? Or do I need to boost another stat to medium levels earlier in the game?
PS. I am aware that this isn’t a problem on free read mode, but I’m trying to get a “Doing it Old School” run for each of the main paths (Claw, Shadow, Sage). If I have to use free read I will, but I’d rather not.
Checks
- Combat 50
- Vitality 45
- Stealth 50 (or vitality 45 if you fail)
You will get additional options to choose if you get the Rage skill or the stealth device. Also failing those check only prevents you from finishing Williams personally (1st option) or from trying to reach your friend (2nd and 3rd option).
So in other words, no, there isn’t a way to pass this check with the build I mentioned above, and I will have to build another stat or pick a different bonus item like the stealth device? I was already aware of the values of the stat checks, I just wasn’t sure if there was any way around them/any other options.
No, there are no other options here apart from those I mentioned earlier but failing won’t stop you from getting the “Doing it Old School” achievement. The only other way is to fail two previous checks and get Razor to save you.
