Donât want to derail the discussion, but I just had to drop in and say that I absolutely love TWC. The characters, the writing, the er, angst (soooo much angst), really drew me in. I particularly enjoyed the little hints about each member of UBâs past that gave me some angsty headcanons lol! Hyped for book two and its upcoming demo!

A: Alex would just hang up. They hate pranks way too much and values their time a lot to even be sarcastic with who called them.
Someone walks up to them and starts flirting with them. How do they feel? What do they do?
A: Theyâd get pretty confused and would try to remember if that person was some acquaintance. If they couldnât think of anybody, theyâd think it was some prank TV show. But even if they knew that it was not the case, just someone really trying to flirt, theyâd try to get away but in a polite way like âuh, yeah, youâre pretty too. I uh, have to work soâŚâ * run to the car pretending to be late while looking at some clock * . Alex would be a bit more calm depending on the situation though. Like being at some party or something, but even so, they donât really thinks of themself as somebody people would like to flirt so theyâd get confused either way.
They unlock the door to their home, step inside and see a dead body on the floor? How do they feel? What do they do?
A: They would get really shocked and unable to move or even breathe for a while. After the shock, theyâd make sure the body was really dead and Alex would probably get out the house and call the police. I mean, theyâre a detective, their job is to investigate, not confront somebody that could be dangerous right after a murder⌠If asked to investigate while waiting for the police they would, but if notâŚ
They are out at night and they hear a scream? What do they do?
A: Panic but be really alert, prepare themselves with a gun or something in hands and go after the scream, hoping to be just somebody deadly afraid of cockroaches.
They ask their friend who their crush is and their friend say âyou.â? How do they respond?
A: It sort depends of who the friend is. Theyâd be sceptical if it was Tina but be really confused if it was Verda, because their humor is different from Tinaâs.
They have to cook dinner for their RO? What do they cook?
A: Alexâs first thought would be to order something instead of cooking, actually, but thinking Nat would be very happy to see their dedication⌠Alex would probably do something simple like pasta but try their best with the dessert (brownies or cupcakes).
They have got a celebritiesâ number. How do they introduce themselves via text?
A: I donât think Alex would ever text them. Theyâd like a lot but would be way to anxious and shy for this.
They have been fired. How do they respond?
A: Theyâd demand to know why. Alex would be pretty mad about it but probably wouldnât even be able to answer something mean thinking about bills and stuff.
They get into fight with their RO. To make things worse, theyâre in the wrong. How do they fix things?
A: Theyâd try to avoid the subject for a while, even to not upset Nat even more but eventually theyâd admit their error and beg to be forgiven.
They realise that theyâve fallen in love with their best friend, how do they handle it?
A: Theyâd overthink about it, being deadly scared to lose their friend, but would try to look for signals of reciprocity. If it looked like their friend felt the same thing, theyâd confess their love. If not, theyâd try their best to erase those feelings.
They find their old notebook from middle/high school. Whatâs in it? How do they react?
A: Theyâd get that nostalgic feeling, but regarding themself, not school. They really didnât like the school (Alex used to call it âis-not-coolâ) and the notebook would likely bring them unhappy memories. The notebook would be filled with lessons with lots of A grades and hidden messages that they wrote using a secret code created by themself about things they were feeling or thinking that day, as âsomeday Iâll be free from themâ.
They went through an embarrassing phase years ago and someone recently brought it up. What was the phase? How do they react?
A: Alex gets somewhat uneasy but defends themself. They used to have a phase where theyâd forge âcrimesâ to see how people would react to the situation, and sometimes make a plan to screw something up so the kids would call them to help with the mysteries like âwho threw a ball at Mr. Martyâs window?â. However, nobody ever found out it about this phase of Alex and it didnât last long.
They are about to propose to their significant other. How do they do it?
A: Theyâd try to know what their partner most likes to do or go when theyâre free, then do the classic proposal, kneeing and opening a ring case, when they were at somewhere empty.
They are about to leave their crushâs house, but before theyâre completely out the door their crush grabs their wrist, saying, âItâs late, why donât you stay the night?â How does your OC answer? Do they end up staying?
A: They would want to go home but would be too scared to turn down their crushâs offer. What if they donât ever get a chance to get closer to them again? So theyâd accept the offer trying their best to not sound nervous.
They find a love letter in their mailbox/locker/etc. Do they try to figure out whoâs sending them the love letters? What do they do?
A: Of course they do. Theyâre a detective, after all!
They wake up to find that they have switched bodies with another one of your MCs. Whatâs their reaction?
A: I donât have another MC for this game lol
They are given a gift that they donât really want. What do they do with the gift?
A: It depends who gave them the gift and what it is. But they would probably try to sell it if they didnât like the person that much.
They impulsively buys a plane ticket. Where do they go?
A: Iâm sorry, theyâd never do such a thing. Theyâd never be so impulsive to the point of spending money over nothing.
They are about to order ice cream; what flavour do they choose? If they ran out of the flavour what do their second choice be?
A: Vanilla or chocolate.
They are at the library looking for their favourite book. Whatâs the book or whatâs the genre of it?
A: Nancy Drew and Dan Brownâs books. They also enjoy some fantasy and modern drama.

A: Alex likes many movies but would likely bring Casper, a childhood favourite.

A: Uh, probably not, unless Nat is going as well or something like that.

A: Alex would feel very guilty about it but would at least take some money from the bag and return the rest of it. Theyâre really ashamed of being a detective, fighting for justice and have this behavior but they have this money issue⌠For what theyâd be using, it would depend on their situation.
They have a nightmare where they lose everyone they have ever felt close to. How do they react?
A: They donât sleep easily after that, thatâs for sure, but doesnât get up from the bed.
They see someone sitting alone during lunch. What do they do? Do they talk to them, ignore them, pick on them, or are they the one alone?
A: Alex was almost always the one sitting alone. Even when they had a couple of friends, they wouldnât stay much.
They are locked out of their house, not only that, but the spare key seems to be missing. What do they do?
A: Theyâd try calling Tina or Verda and ask if they could stay by their house. If they couldnât, they would drive and look for an hotel for the night.
They are sick and they have no option but to stay home and rest? How do they feel about this? Are they upset or calm?
A: They feel mostly sad for being alone, being sick with no one around to take care of you is terrible. But theyâre used to it. Rebecca wasnât always at home to take care of them even when Alex was a kid so itâs just a sad fact to their life.
Itâs their birthday but everyone, including close friends and family, seems to have forgotten? What do they do?
A: Theyâd feel somewhat angry and sad if people had, in fact, forgotten about it. If they were just taking it as a regular day but knowing it was Alexâs birthday, they wouldnât mind, as theyâre not very fond of celebrating it either way.
They have a secret hobby. What is it?
A: Do they? 
They find a genie, and are given three wishes! What do they wish for?
A: The classic âI want to have infinite wishes and you have to grant themâ.

Nyx would have to think about it a bit before realizing she wanted it, and Jax would want the odds on it killing her instead of turning her.

Unless itâs very obvious (think Mâs brand of flirting), she wouldnât notice. If they flirt like M, and theyâre attractive, sheâd like it and flirt back.

Sheâd be calm about it, oddly enough. Her professional side would kick in, so sheâd have no problem with it. Despite this, she would do a quick investigation of the scene first, to make damn sure it wasnât something meant to frame her for a murder, and if there was evidence that did seem meant to pin it on her (other than the dead body being there), she just might destroy it. Otherwise, sheâd follow protocols.

Dezh being Dezh would rush toward it without hesitation, ready to fight to defend whoever is in danger. If someone was in danger, sheâd protect them. If it was just people screwing around, sheâd curse at them, call them asshats, and go about her business.

Sheâd snort and say, âyeah, right, who is it you really have a crush on?â

Oliver: âYes, and thatâs where heâs going to stay if he knows whatâs good for him.â

Really, he should wait and see if any more information presents itself before he makes any rash decisions â it could be nothing, after all, and wouldnât that be silly if he showed up all keyed up and someone was just screaming their happiness? So, he should waiâ

Assuming it came up organically in a conversation, since heâd never ask this sort of thing straight outâŚ
At first, he thinks theyâre joking. Or practicing for when they actually tell their real crush the truth. So he wouldnât completely laugh it off, but he might chuckle a little and say âall right, donât tell me, I shouldnât have askedâ or something. And if they insist that âno, idiot, I truly have these feeling for youâŚâ Heâll get quiet, smile sadly, say something like:
âOh⌠no. You shouldnâtâ Iâm notâ Shit. I meanâŚâ He sighs. âYou are an amazing, wonderful, beautiful person. And thereâs a whole world out there, filled with people who are worthy of someone of your calibre, and one day youâll find one of those people, and theyâll be able to return your feelings, and everything will be⌠perfect. Some very faint sense of vindication â âI was right. Took them long enough to realize their mistake.â Maybe not really expecting to be fired specifically â maybe just busted back down to beat cop â but. This is⌠as much as he deserves. Regardless of what he may have done up to this point.
But. Also. God, heâs lost. Heâs spent all this time building up an identity based on his job â he was nothing without the badge, anyway, and his work was his life â and now thatâs been taken away from him? What do? Not to mention how is he going to afford living⌠and he still has student loans to pay offâŚ

(tbh, heâd never really consider anyone his best friend. Not to be, like, edgy, or anything, but heâd be too surprised by anyone actually considering him a friend, and calling anyone a best friend would feel too presumptuous and like a massive overstep on his part â heâs hesitant to call people friends if they havenât called him one first. So. As realizing what his feels are for a friend?)
Oh. So thatâs what those feelings were. It doesnât matter, though, so heâll keep it to himself.
Because⌠god. This man? That he cares for? That he loves, apparently? Is amazing. And so good. And⌠and. Thereâs no way this man could possibly return these feelings. Because heâs better than that â he wouldnât possibly feel anything like that for some⌠some⌠nothing. He shouldnât. And so⌠itâll hurt. The quieting of a chattering mind in his presence, a thrill of excitement every time he says Oliverâs name, a swelling of the heart and an overwhelming warmth just thinking that this person actually exists. Henrietteâs terrible at dealing with prank calls. She once had a conversation that went:

Prankster: âWho is this, what do you mean who is this, how many people call to tell you that they love you?â

It depends on whether sheâs interested in the guy or not. If she doesnât like the guy, sheâll feel slightly awkward; if she likes the guy, sheâll be flattered.
To an overly flirtatious guy whom she doesnât like, she always has a comeback. Usually, guys approach her with one of the lamest and most overused line known to men:

Scream and stumble a few steps back. (Henriette was scared and uncomfortable when she saw Janet Greenlandâs and Garret Hayeâs dead bodies.) When she finally gets over the shock, she will call the police. Sheâll not touch a single thing so as not to destroy the evidence. She wonât examine the body either as she is not a pathologist.
Pause, curse her luck, and carefully - very, very carefully - approach the sound with her gun raised.
Henriette: *jaw drops open* Wow. I⌠I⌠*fumbles for words* I just need a minute, okay? *runs to the ladies, splashes water onto her face, and stares into the mirror*
(After 10 mins, Henriette comes out of the ladies and returns to her table)
