Oh yeah, I remember when all the android ports used to look like that.
But I’m pretty sure that’s all CoG’s doing, not @WayWalkerLeigh. If I remember correctly, the new look also came with animated pages and different color schemes like sepia and night mode…or maybe all those UI changes were more gradual than I remember.
In any case, I don’t think there’s any way to get that UI back. Sorry.
After searching for a ridiculous time I find that you are right and that saying doesn’t exist. The saying I was misremembering was: “Do whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn’t sink mine”.
I only had one as a teen “you hug me I get stabby stabby”
And much to my family’s great worry as a kid mine was basically “meet a stranger a day, keep the boredom at bay” as I regularly ended up walking up to complete strangers in parks and holding their hands trying to walk off with them, much to both the strangers and my parents panic. Despite the many times I always picked reasonably nice people and never had to deal with stranger danger issues.
Edit: my parents learned to amend their request of me to never go anywhere without a adult with me. Their mistake there.
I just came to give a reminder of how much I’m dying for this game. I think I have play all the HG and COG I like, way to many times, and my desperation is growing stronger. I feel like a drug addict that has no drugs anymore.
OKAY-- so i’m working on one of the ‘get a lead’ scenes where you’re trying to get info from one of the Embassys, and there’s three ways it can play-out, you go to it with Sem, who can at least get you in the front door, OR you go with Jun or alone. SO my question is, what are some ways to get into the front door aside from sneaking? like, what possible story could you weave or distraction you could manage to do in order to get into the place, either alone or with Jun’s help?
Jun could probably use her telepathic abilities to distract the guards, she seems pretty talented at that. You can also use your heritage, if you go to an Aralim one for example and you are Aralim yourself you can speak the language and try convincing them to let you enter (maybe you could say you’re a visitor). Or if you have high charm maybe you can flirt with the guard and convince them to let you in (not sure if it will work though cause you’re like 15 or something)
the Jun one is good. It’s the Casfeild Embassy so, none of the nationalities work. And yeah, no guard-flirting. thats just weird and really wont work on tar’ka-besh. Really. XD
Maybe you could ask Umbrave to help you, his race lives in Casfeild.
Other thing I can think of (not sure if they’ll work) is to make a painting/art (requires Bree stat) and say you want to bring it to decorate the embassy? Or if you have high faith stat (probably Feator too to know their history) say you want to participate in a religious ceremony inside maybe?
Or with high Rosin/Montage stats you could use telepathy and have Umbrave talk to the guards by using telepathy?
Talking your way in with Beleskie should definitely be an option. If you’re taking Casfeildan, maybe you could claim you need to get in for a class project (would let the language classes have some more use) Emotional/True Empaths could try “making” the guard feel like they want to let them in. Precognitives could use a vision to like…check the guard’s rotation schedule/rounds schedule/etc and slip in during a blind spot. Telepaths can mimic Jun’s thing.
Oh, the language class idea is inspired-- i can use that as an option when the MC is with Jun too! Nice!
I def want to talk yr way in be an option, but i need i viable thing to say-- along the lines of ‘i want to practice my language’ but one that all MCs could feasibly use.
hilarious but not realistic. XD Hum, i wonder if there’s something else age-appropriate you could sneak in as? Anyone know what 15 r olds might be doing at an embassy?
