I stated this before above but to recap: the relationship in your past-life with you and Sem will be determined entirely upon if you are in a romantic relationship with him in the current game-- if you are friends you are blood-bonded as family, if you are dating, you are married.

Actually, there is a fun little scene at the end of it all where the MC an talk to Semryu about what happened…
“So,” you say, deciding now might be a decent time to bring up a little more about your shared past with Semryu, “You were my ${sem_role} in another life.”

Semryu cocks an eyebrow. “Why do I have a feeling you’re leading this conversation somewhere?”
You reply,

#"Sem, we were [i]married[/i]. Don't you think that might mean something to our current relationship?"
#"I just want to know if you think it means getting married is a foregone conclusion for, you know-- [i]this[/i] time."
#"I'm just wondering what you think about it is all."

I’m chocking just reading this, oh the second-hand embarrassment! I wish Sem was drinking something in this scene just to see his epic spit-take when his middle-school datefriend goes “so like, do think we’re gonna get married??? /twirls hair around finger”. It’s so beautiful, I love horribly awkward teen romance.
I hope MC get an option to go “haha so that was hella embarrassing haha see you later I have to go scream into my pillow now”.
If it was me at 14, I wouldn’t be able to look my partner without thinking ‘we were married aaaah’ and giggle nervously (⁎⁍̴̀﹃ ⁍̴́⁎)

@Jackrabbit – not in so many words, but yeah there is a little bit of awkward backtracking from the MC is they approach it a little too strongly with Semryu, whose responses range from abject horror to “just please, please ${sem_nickname} lets discuss this after we’re not trying to die.” XD

Ahahahahaha that poor boy, he’s trying so hard to be gentle, bless his heart. This is so stressful to read, teen dating drama in the middle of a big high risk rescue mission, can you imagine??

I really love that he’s trying so hard to not freak out over this, it makes it even funnier to imagine his nervousness. Anything that makes Sem nervous is great in my books, teasing material for the ages.

Yeah, there’s so much to imagine just in the last line, ‘he chuckles very nervously. “Please”?’ I can see his eyebrows twitch in my mind, poor boi. XD
And yeah, there’s actually a couple of times the MC can corner Sem with akward romance talk-- my personal fave is actually when they are dealing with Genoa and the the whole “twin flame” thing. Semryu has some very strong opinions about that lol

Don’t know why but I kind of like the idea of MC and Illyan together. Damn. I don’t even know how old she is but, well MC(read myself) is in love with her. She’s so mysterious and I want to break her out of jail at all cost. Have to admit I was super relieved when Sem explained their “relationship”. She’s like family right? Which means there’s nothing there…
It’s never going to happen I know but a girl can dream and so I’m dreaming…
