This is a slightly unorthodox idea, but what if someone pretended to be a spirit guide? Being comically peppy could be a decent foil for some jokes… Maybe…
Or I can press the “In case of laziness” button and advise we just focus the entirety of the gag on making fun of Cael, since that’s the easiest option.

Honestly, if you’ve been trying to come up with something for two years and still haven’t found an answer, I’d advise we just hit that fancy “In case of laziness” button. I’m not really sure if there’s any better option.
Yeah I’ve been considering just having the newspaper club bare witness to the mock duel I had planned for MCs not in a club as well. A) it’s less work cause I’ve already got an exabition duel going on as the option for the dueling club kids plus a skit for the theater club kids and B) it’s freaking hilarious b/c I delved into my Shakespearean insults knowledge to have Semryu and Umbrave go at it with wooden swords.
I’m already intrigued.
Lol I was already going to make that scene (in fact it’s pretty much done) it was just a matter of of I wanted to let the newspaper club MCs have it as well as the MCs not in a club.
For those interested, here’s a small peek: this is during the mock-duel, should the MC choose to shout encouragements to Umbrave when they are in a relationship with Sem:
Semryu drops to one knee at your words, pulling an arm overdramatically upon his forehead with a wail of despair. “I hast been spurned,” he proclaims, while Umbrave does his best to keep a straight face, and the rest of the room erupts into laugher. He reaches out to you with his other hand, while migrating the one with the wooden sword to over his heart. “How can thou choose this dry, had-backed turtle carved of dead leather over I, whose love is so true?”
“Mayhap ${name} facies skilled warriors over arrogant showmen,” Umbrave calls, righting his slipping wig once more.
“Mongrel!” Semryu jumps to his feet as you giggle. “Cur! I shall prove myself in throttling you to regain ${name}'s affections!” He grips his sword with a new fervor, then returns to a battle stance. “Have at thee, you poor, base, rascally, cheating lack-linen mate! Would thou wert clean enough to spit upon!”
Oh my god, Shakespearean insults and Semryu, this is a potent combination indeed! I was laughing out loud just reading this one excerpt. Too bad it’s not jousting, so we can’t tie our handkerchief as a token of our affection, bestowed upon our chosen champion.
I think this scene looks like great fun, so by all means make it available to other clubs. I guess newspaper club MCs can provide color commentary, like a sportscaster (“Oooh a nice sharp hit to the calves, a surprisingly quick move from the turtle-backed competitor!”).
Oh, that might be an easy add to code-in! Espp if Jun is the MCs friend-- additional quips to the mix. And Shelly can do it if not. Oh yes. I’ll see if that will work.

Yes. So far Sem’s favorite to yell is “cur” and I’m very fond of Umbrave’s “Besotted Pit-demon who reeks of spoiled sausages”

Sem was already one of my favorite love interests in the CoG/Hosted lineup. And now you give me a scene where he shouts Shakespearean insults?

Idk how much Clansman revere the first to become Clan by Rhean’s own hand, but maybe one of them if you want another historical figure that badly? It avoids any Red hysteria, has the potential to be fun, holds a connection to Sem, and would be of particular interest to any MCs with a high Feator/Rhean or who are taking Clan as their language.
BTW that Shakespearean Sem bit is swoon worthy. You made fall in love all over again with a character whose age I stopped sharing years ago.
Give me your funniest titles for Way Walker achievements (and what moments they correspond to)! If it’s really good, I might include it. 
“Still a better love story than Twilight” An old meme, but I think it would go well for getting together with Sem. Or I’m just blinded by hate. . . I love your story, but I swear to science if you make Sem sparkle in the sunlight I’m out.
