Way Walkers: University3--suggestions and feedback

several thousand years after.

Pfft, is that a literal timeline? Because if so I am appalled at the lack of technological and sociological advances. Several thousands years is long enough for someone to invent a magic cellphone, surely? Just think how much of the plot could have been avoided if everyone had cellphones.

Also, I rather dread reading this after the cruelty of the first book. I get the sense that all viciousness you had to hold back on WW:U due to the cast’s age has been poured into this series, doubly potent after marinating in writer’s block. You are a very cruel mother to your characters!

That is a literal time line- and the lack of advancements is actually a plot point touched very lightly upon at the end of tangled paths. Remember what Mikkal said on the summit?

And I’m not THAT mean…more ppl live in the second book. ;p

Is this done to avoid any connection between WW:U and the tazu saga, or did you just feel like writing a story in The Future? Considering how long lived the clan can be there’s still wriggle room for a determined conspiracy theorist, you know.

Also, I’m about 40% in and you are totally that mean, I can’t read this damn book in public because you keep poking my tear ducts. Knowing that The Broken City was originally just part of the longer next book is rather scary, but please accept my tears as a token of appreciation and respect.

Actually for WWU I simply picked a spot in the timeline I thought was interesting and had potential to do lots with sinc Eid not laid out in detail exactly what went down-- and was centered in Tar’citadel. There’s actually a few “Easter eggs” in Broken City, and what will be the third Tazu book that hints at the actual cannon ending to the events in WWU.

Hey @WayWalkerLeigh, I’ve got a question about the, well, first two games if you don’t mind my asking here! Well, two questions, actually. One, is the MC meant to be predominantly human? Or can we, as players, take some creative liberty and have them be the race predominant in their homeland? 'cause I honestly played the first game for a good while thinking my MC was also a traditional Ki’ra since he was born in Nor’wah until Sem’ryu kinda explicitly pointed out that I, in fact, wasn’t. I was even gonna doodle my guy, but I’m honestly not sure just how… ‘bestial’ I can get away with making my MC. I got the impression that my MC, for all intents and purpose (in-game), looks to be human. If it wasn’t for the fact Sem kept calling my MC “Ki’ra-kin”, I honestly would’ve forgot. I also just got what that means.

I had a second question, but I got caught up in a flurry of work… at work and it honestly left my brain. I’ll toss another message if I remember it later… :persevere:

Yes, the MC is human. it does say so right at the beginning. otherwise, there would be too many instances where the MC could use their other non race skills that would be too difficult to write in every choice-- such as turning into a Tyrn or walking through a wall, or such.

D’aw… My poor attention span is awful sometimes. I guess I can’t picture my guy with some (very minor) lupine features.

he can have some goldish eyes if that helps.
