As I said, I won’t give a description of how the blessings would affect your appearance, that’s up to you in your roleplay to decide. It can be anything really, from rainbow hair and eyes, to whatever chimeric abomination you can think of, though it won’t be reflected.
Keep in mind that, despite it being up to you, everyone will treat you as if you are a normal looking member of your species, which is why I left that kind of thing up to roleplay. With so many possible combinations, it would be too much work to change every relevant interaction based on what you should look like. So, I’ll leave it all up to your personal roleplay.
The most interaction with your appearance you’ll get will be what comes when Chapter 1 part 1 is released, where you’ll have your character customization (hair and eye color, and all that jazz). Based on what you choose (such as red hair, or blue eyes) will be referenced by characters sometimes.
Can we have an Easter egg in game like if we choose the dragon race and we go to a the castle library as a kid with our tutor to study and we pick book named the lusty Oregonian maid and the tutor takes the book from us
Well, the book will reference you as looking like the other Draconids do: like an anthro reptile, basically looking like the Dragonborn race from Baldur’s Gate 3. But I wouldn’t stop you from playing as if you look like that in your roleplay. Just that, unfortunately, in the book you look like a member of your species. If you choose human, you look like a human, elf like an elf, and draconid like the other draconids too.
Today, I bring a new update, this time bringing the General prologue of the story. Also some very minor alterations to a few things in the Soldier prologue.
Please, give me your feedback, and do tell me of any mistakes or spelling errors and bugs! The demo is already updated in dashingdon.
Yep, that is the end.
For now I’m working on all of the prologues first. There’s nothing after you are born, and there won’t be until I’m done with the prologues first.
This story has so much potential I can’t wait to test all the prologues this kinds of games where you play it differently each time is my favored. Wonder about the good or evil ways you can play.
This was pretty great ngl. I’m really excited to see how the “gameplay” works, will it be more cinematic or maybe a bit more turn based?
Also weird how we can apparently rebel against the Earth’s Gods?
I’ve never said this in my life, but even I have to aknowledge how absolutely broken cheatmode in this game is lol Imagine the lv1 bandit looking up, getting hit by a lighting strike that can evaporize a whole ass mountain while also recieving the second combo fire magic hotter than a star? lmao this is gonna be epic
It’s still in planning phase, but I’ll share my idea of the combat system here, if only to get some feedback.
Basically, combat is happening in two ways: a bit turn-based, such as in Hero or Villain, where you will chose your move, and your attack follows a combat check subroutine, something kinda like DND, but your stats and the stats of your weapon will be what matters, no dice rolls.
Then there will be the cinematic scenes. Follows some two or three combat turns, or at least based on the HP percentage of the enemy (though this will mostly be only for boss battles) there will be cinematic scenes, like in Path of Martial Arts combat for example, which is very cinematic (save the basic stat checks).
I’m excited to work on these more technical aspects such as the combat system, actually. I can’t wait to finish the damn prologues already so I can get to it.
I really liked this one, congratulations, you have in your hands something that could very easily become one of the most fun and interesting stories in the entire forum, keep up the good work, I just have one question and one suggestion. How often will you make updates? Once a month? Every two months? I’m really not impatient and I’ll gladly wait as long as I have to wait, one suggestion I wanted to make is about the races, are those all the ones we’ll be able to choose from? If you’re open to the idea of including some other races I’d like to suggest maybe you include… Dark Elves perhaps? Or maybe Half Orcs? I’m sorry if some of my message is confusing, my English is not perfect
About update frequency, I won’t say that I will update in this or that frequency, because I am terrible with predictions of when it will be done. So, updates will come when they are finished. For the prologues, it won’t take too long, maybe a month is enough. As for the actual game, I will divide the chapters by 3 parts, so that we don’t go for too long without updates, but I can’t really say if it will be done in a month or two. However, since times are dire and I want to ease the burden off my parents somewhat, I will probably create a Patreon (and consequently a Discord), and I will constantly give some updates about the progress on development.
And about the races, I won’t add more races for one reason: each race has a somewhat different story. I will have to write four different versions of the future chapters, because, simply, each race has some different things, such as the kingdom, your family, and stuff like that. Of course, they will all follow the same script (and I will be sly and put the fault of that on the Gods affecting the culture of the world), but there will be differences, such as, your siblings, your parents, and some other things.
So, yeah, that will be a LOT of work. But I’m motivated, I’m liking to create this story so far. But, as it stands, I won’t be able to add more races that you can be, because otherwise it will be too much work.
No, but they live for a long time, up to a thousand years or a bit more.
However, due to reasons of needing the timeline to be a single one, not mattering which race you choose, I have to make it so that all (at least playable) races mature at the same rate as humans, being considered adults on the range of 16-21 years old (but probably 18). That’s not cool to me, but some sacrifices have to be made for the timeline to make sense, the gods couldn’t send you back in time for you to have enough time to mature as an elf until the war started. Just reincarnating you, specially with blessings, was already quite the ordeal.
Finally gotten around to actually reading this and I must say, Oh, boy did I Enjoy IT!!! Definitely looking forward to meeting and seeing all the paths and characters. This has some high potential. Especially due to the isekai factor.
