At the back of my mind, I considered that people gettng demanding DMs about their WIPs was a possibility. I also hoped that thought was an exaggeration, and that people here were at least reasonable enough to realize why that sort of behavior is not okay. It literally being in the forum rules doesn’t just apply to the forum threads that can be read, and replied to by anyone with an account–an author’s DM inbox is not an exception.
Any author being asked these questions, no matter how nicely, needs to know that those DMs can, and should be reported. It’s okay to do so. Please give yourself permission to remove stressors like that as soon as they appear. You never have to just tolerate it.

I’m super excited because I finally finished writing 2 out of the 3 passages I want for the next update, I’m currently working on the rest day with mc’s mentor Adama (which I was happily surprised to see being the second most liked character despite his lower presence in the story for now.)
This is obviously a platonic path as that man took the mc under his wing, but I’ll do my best to make it just as play worthy as any other romantic interaction I might try to write.
Here is a short excerpt of his path !
Eccentric old man
The picture I set as his profile was blindingly annoying, as the man on it was combining a face mask, a head towel, was holding a cat in his arms and still managed to look handsome.

Finally taking the call, I heard a loud sound, kitchen utensil clinking together.
"FUCK !" His usually chill voice sounded exasperated. "Oh you finally took the call, I thought you were dead in a ditch or sum." His now bored tone made your brow tick, crossing out the previous thoughts you had about him being a loving parent toward you.
*Page_break He's really just a crazy man.
That’s it for now ! Without this path, the next update is already 24k ish, and this will probably take it to 30 and some dust

I love this story. Thank you for the additional material in the demo. Enjoying interacting with the current RO’s, loving Maria in particular. She has the potential to be really scary, but i am seeing glimpses of a soft, gooey candy center in her that i want to explore. Eagerly awaiting more content and interactions. Thanks for your hard work.

Such precious feedback ! I’m glad to hear about what people think about the characters, especially the RO paths (as it isn’t really easy for me to write).
That’s the exact feeling I wanted with her ! My two biggest fears when writing is : not staying consistant in the characterisation of the NPC’s, and not managing to give the proper gist of the NPC’s personality, if Maria is well done already, I’m hyped.

Don’t you think so that in choice of weapons option there should also be a weapon option for broadsword like how you added gauntlet, rifle, longsword and pistol in weapons choice because I can relate to broadsword and also in melee weapons swords broadsword are my favorite so please give us broadsword as a melee weapons option to choose from. Can you tell me from which anime your story The War We Wage is inspired from and where I can watch that anime for free with English subtitles or English dubbed.

I don’t plan on adding any other weapon choice as I think that seven is already a good (almost too big ) number.
A broadsword’s characteristics are a double edged sword, with a blade shorter and wider than a usual sword alongside a closer ranged use. These elements can be seen in the first choice of “exotic sword” with the ida sword. Adding choice to create the illusion of having a choice is something I want to avoid.
The game is loosely inspired by Youjo Senki (saga of Tanya the Evil), I think that you can watch it on youtube
