UnNatural Season Two Released 4th May 23

How do you finish a case?

My laptop is playing up. Will try and get it fixed later.

edit: Okay I think I found the issue and I’ve redone the code for the cases so they should work as they should now.

At the ring toss if you throw for the one point peg three time it still gives you 6 points. I was trying to let Denise win.

Thanks I’ll double check the code.

Also believe that ā€œusā€ should be ā€œhimā€.

Yeah it was meant to be. Thanks for spotting it

The pegs should score correctly now. fixed the spelling mistake too.

Okay, tried some new things for me this time, so I’ve got feedback on stuff that isn’t actually new as well.

If one isn’t in a relationship, and one ends up going to the fair with Lakota, how about an option to say no to the bet? A bet involving costumes is one thing with a SO, another with a friend from work…

How about an option to ask your partner if they want to drive instead of just unilaterally deciding who drives oneself?

I sacrificed 25% of my humanity to add 25% to my form, since I love the green lantern like options of shade, and somehow my form score was 43%, which is less than 25 plus 25.

I took Denise on the werewolf case, which resulted in the alpha being pissy. Which is fair enough. The game saying there is nothing my character can do, with the above ā€œgreen lantern like powers,ā€ well that’s a tad silly.

I should be able to form restraints around his hands he can’t break out of. I should be able to solidify shadowstuff in his mouth and throat, so he’d be a bit busy asphyxiating to death to worry about killing Denise.

Deescalating is fine, and in fact is completely the right take, but with the ability to form constructs out of shade that deescalation should be because the player doesn’t want to kill the guy, not because they’re standing there helpless as if there is nothing they can do to protect Denise.

I just saw a beautifully easy way how to use the *hide_reuse command CS offers to hide previously selected options when looping back to a label, e.g. as is the case for the book choice in the incubi mission.

Writing

*label x
here might be text, or maybe not
*hide_reuse
*choice
	#choice1
	#choice2
	#choice3etc

will automatically hide choices already used without having to put the *hide_reuse command in front of every single choice. In cases like the reading choice, where you should probably read each book only once and will only ask your partner once about what they know, it’s definitely handy to not have to put the command in front of every single choice.

Thats a good point about non-romance players.

i can add an option to let others drive.

the humanity thing - i’ll have to double check as can’t remember but i may have used fairmath which would explain that off form score.

With the Alpha scene, its meant to read like with the Alpha having Denise in his hands, he could tear her throat out before you could reach him. I’ll look into it more for you.

A few things I noticed after seeing theres been updates :

  1. Lyria is a lady so i think a wrong label in this scene (i chose the megan swann preset and just changed the first and last name and romance kota obvi)
  2. Vendor i dont think should be capitalized bc its the second word in the sentence plus hes not written as Vendor Kai :stuck_out_tongue:
  3. The label thing again just is instead of she is/she’s

4. The mc saying ā€œi knew youd love itā€ feels odd to me bc it was the RO who got the bunny suit in the first place not MC
5. That used to be worded differently from what i remember and now its a jumble? It kind of sounds like Kota is asking MC if she wants to go to another lady bunnys burrow and implies that said imaginary second lady bunny may join in NSFW antics

Still love this demo so much  and the wayhaven advert loved it :heart_eyes:

It already had the option to let someone else drive, what I was asking for is an option to ask the partner if they want to drive or not.

As it stands it comes across as an order, either way.

And yes, using standard methods, I can certainly understand the Alpha having the speed advantage against a PC who tries to engage in hand to hand or attack at range.

But with shade, objects just appear out of nowhere wherever you want them to, speed advantage means nothing when you can’t see the attack coming.

Well you are their boss,… so… yeah.

Yes, but what do you know, that doesn’t automatically make one such a complete idiot that they are too stupid to realize that other people have actual preferences.

Strange just checked the code on phone as away from home atm. It looks like you only get a choice to not move. There was a attack choice too. Great dont tell me I’ve deleted that but accident…

I’ll get this sorted but it will be tomorrow now.

But as I love discussions with you when I say he could kill her faster than you can attack it is more like even it you are faster than him the moment you kill him his spasm would still be capable of tearing her throat

But as I just mentioned I’m sure I wrote an attack choice for that bit. A single option choice is a mistake on my part.

Well the character I generally play is fine with deescalation.

And I was thinking one of the things someone with high levels of form could do was imprison his hands so he can’t move them. Or wrap his fingers in razor wire so if he tried to squeeze all he’d do is pop his own fingers off. Rather hard to rip someone’s throat out with your hands if you can’t move your fingers, or have no fingers to move.

Considering how some people play, I’m surprised no one has suggested an intimidation response, honestly.

Like an Azure PC sprouting their wings and stating ā€œWell, sure you could kill her. Then I’d kill you and eat your soul. Then I’d go to your pack and kill them and eat their souls. Then I’ll crap out what’s left of your souls out while reading my morning newspaper. But hey, if you hate your pack so much you want them to end up as soul crap, go right ahead and keep threatening my partner.ā€

I wouldn’t choose that option, mind you, but I’m well aware some people prefer a very different playing style to me here.

I will be going over the code again tomorrow as I remember writing a scene where you can attack him. but when I checked the code on my phone it only seemed to show a dont want to threaten him option.

I attacked him and killed his whole pack. I also was able to kill most of his pack, then he recognized my strength and agreed to talk to us.

Can someone tell me the difference between shade and azure?
