UnNatural - A supernatural horror game - editing complete, beta testing over

@Fujin

They look like wings of light. They ARE attached to your body. Every “unnatural” possesses supernatural energy which manifests as an aura. Azures subconsciously project their aura behind them which take the shape of wings.

90% of the time the aura is passive and the wings invisible/dormant when required they become active and visible.

So are there any side effects to the wing powers or something like a price you pay.

@Nocturnal_Stillness oh OK sounds cool :smiley:

@Aznxa

No side effects per say, but there will be a limit to its use. (settled for being able to use your powers 3 times for each wing you have)

Whether there will be changes to that I can’t yet say.

@Aznxa They don’t seem nearly as versatile as the Shade powers.

so wait, the pc would have to have been adopted right, i mean if the rest of their family had these powers they should have been able to protect themselves from the monster right

also is what powers you choose (shade or azure) going to affect the story besides what powers we can use

@Shoelip @Aznxa

One issue I’ll have is that with the shade powers there will be checks to if you succeed or not, azure powers won’t it’ll always do the job. Hence the need to limit the use.

I am trying to balance how they both work. Playtesting during episode 4 will be important to see if I’m doing it right.

@Matteller

That’d be a spoiler (about your family).

As for the powers they will affect the story (going for the ‘regain power’ option will lead to learning more about the azure) sticking with shade will lead to a fight with ‘Ren’ and learning more about why your powers changed the way they did.

Just an idea… If you have all of your wings at once something special should happen

So how would you grow more wings

@Aznxa

Generally through experience and use, but in times of great danger you *might* force a new wing to appear although temporary sometimes it may be permanent.

Sound interesting so whens the beta test :smiley:

Spotted a spelling mistake, the line beginning “You say the inincantation out loud…” should read “You say the incantation out loud…”

@Aznxa

Just started writing

@Bloodwyche

Thanks I’ll fix that.

will I regain my humanity that i used up on my shade, form and focus? i hope so, i spent 70 points of humanity on shade

oh yeah,is there a way to lose humanity(other than upgrading my shade, form and focus) and what happens when I use it all up? By the way, one of the best storylines i have ever read

Damn im putting in too many questions… anyway, is there any guns with the azure powers?

@kaosorer

  1. There is a way currently to gain a bit more humanity (about 5 points) but there will be ways to improve humanitity. But you won’t recover 70 points back though, although I’m considering if you choose to recover your azure powers you get 50% back.

  2. Some choices/actions can lower/increase humanitity. If you use it all up nothing happens currently but eventually it will open up more violent options and stop you being merciful due to the ‘monster’ side of you assuming control. Thank you for the kind compliment:-)

  3. Yes you will still be taking guns if you recover your azure powers, but none of them compliment a gun (unlike focus which can increase its stopping power)

thanks for answering my question! and because i have another 2, i feel like an idiot 1)can you form a gun using azure powers? 2)will rapport be important in the end? if so, will it have a big or small impact?
