I’m getting a few errors testing this, will have to have a look through tomorrow.
I took a different path after chapter skipping this time. I had Lakota and Denise with me and instead of letting her lead I decided to go around on my own. I eventually got the option to head north and did that, and then it said that it was getting dark, so we stopped to camp, at which point I got this line.
line 1807: Tabs and spaces appear on the same line
Letting Denise guide me gave me the same bug so it looks like you accidentally messed up the line while fixing something else.
That error is notepad++ not me not used to auto tab yet its useful I just need to remember to turn tab into space afterwards.
Did you turn auto tab off yet?
Not yet. Will do it tonight after work.
Hm, line 1807 still doesn’t want me to pass. It’s still giving me this error when I ask Lakota about opinions on monsters.
line 1809: increasing indent not allowed, expected 19 was 34
I got an error that said: line 1946: Invalid expression at char 28, expected closing parenthesis, was: CLOSE_PARENTHESIS [)]
When I picked Austin and Beta and Skipped past the Opinions question to go to sleep. Having Lakota with me instead of Austin seems to work if I skip the opinion line and go to sleep though.
I did however get that same error after talking to Ren in my dream and deciding to practice without changing the contract.
Try it out now, I think I’ve got those fixed. I got to the current end of the demo
let me know if you get another error.
Alright. This time I tried something different and altered the contract to have form at 15%:
line 1950: Invalid expression at char 12, expected closing parenthesis, was: CLOSE_PARENTHESIS [)]
However, just practicing resulted in the same error.
… Actually everything I try gives that error, Beta or Alpha. This was all using chapter skip though.
Not sure what the closed parenthesis is about personally can’t see any error with the code. may rewrite that bit of the code see if i can see what causes the error.
Hm, I just got it to work somehow. I think I got to the end. I fought one werewolf, and then ran and found two more. Using the Form wall was kind of weird though. At first I thought it was a less lethal option, but then I end up only having the choice to either crush the monster to death or rip it to shreds… Kind of disturbing when it’s already trapped and helpless… Especially when you can play a character who wants to try to avoid killing if they can help it, and has super powers.
Got a bug when I used focus to tackle the werewolf. line 2369: Invalid expression, expected final closing parenthesis
I’m curious, why can’t you use your Shade when you encounter the two fighting wolves?
When I tried to use cloak when encountering the first wolf I got this error: line 2405: It is illegal to fall out of a *choice statement; you must *goto or *finish before the end of the indented block.
there was an option to constrict the werewolf until it loses conciousness but I removed it as it would have required a bit more coding as these scenes have been very buggy as you have learnt yourself
I can put it back in having to tidy up the code while error hunting.
You can’t use shade in the last fight solely because I ran out of time this evening. I will add more options for shade.
Ah ok. Well, if you removed the option to cut down on bugs you can always put it back in later once some of the other bugs are cleared up.
@Nocturnal_Stillness I just wanted to make sure, are zombie’s just mindless killers controlled by an animator? And if yes if you choose a zombie killed your family, does that mean an animator specifically targeted your family because your dad was a cop or something?
Thanks!
it all depends on the type of zombie if created via an animal sacrifice the zombie will just have basic functions and the animator can say go into the fourth house on the right but the zombie could be distracted and end up in the fourth house on the left. so it might have been an accident.
If it was made from a human sacrifice then it could reason and would know exactly where to go so it would have been sent after your family.
A third option is that an animator has taken full control (like the hospital porter in episode 2) which again means they were targeted.
3 more to 1000! Make a wish, N_S!
