That is an interesting thought. I’d say it depends on the type of Unnatural. With the Azure, their children are born human but have a chance (slighter after the war - I’d say cut each figure by 2/3s to see the pre-war figures) of awakening their power.
I should point out that the MC is the first Azure to have their “power” broken and find the “Shade” set of powers.

Okay, so I drew up Punnett squares for the whole Genetic explanation. In these punnett squares I am using the MC’s genetics (Azure mother, Human father) and the MC will be maternal. Also @Nocturnal_Stillness I have found a flaw in S+S/H=A, if Shade is a mutation and the offspring inherit it they wouldn’t turn out Azure, they would turn out Shade (Or have some chance of becoming Shade) because the Shade allele wouldn’t magically turn into an Azure allele (Or maybe it’s another ability of the Azure?). Either way the Fae would probably be able to correct this genetic mutation and give them Azure powers through a ritual. But damn, I feel sorry for Unit Beta…

when I say mutation I’m being incorrect. @stsword got the gist of it better than me. Azures generate and manipulate light whereas the “shade” player is still considered an azure but can only manipulate light. The term “Shade” was made up by Ren. You’re an azure either way it just whether you fix your power or not.
@Nocturnal_Stillness Right, working on the new Punnett squares. May I ask: Is it possible to be a ‘carrier’ of the Azure gene? You have it but it is not expressed, so you won’t get powers but your kids can (Because right now I’m assuming Unnatural alleles and Human alleles are neither recessive or dominant)

As long as the child has one parent of Azure blood (dormant or active) their children will have Azure blood themselves (which shall be either dormant or active). You can think of Azure with dormant blood as being Human and those with active blood as being Azure
I don’t mind. It makes me feel good that the Unnatural-verse gets people thinking about the background of the world. Makes me proud of what I’ve written to inspire such interest

there shouldn’t be a shade gene. Remember the Shade powers are just Azure powers broken. A+A and A+H sound about right pre-war figures. Post-war you’re looking at them flipped. so for example A+A would be 1/4 Azure 2/4 human 1/4 human (dormant) and A + H would be 2/4 human and 2/4 human (dormant).
For the record the MC of Unnatural would have been Human dormant.
