UnNatural - A supernatural horror game - editing complete, beta testing over

@CountDon

Yeah I’ve been busy this past year lol

Well now Scar is an action girl, but she’s also rather aloof, she makes you work for it so I can see why that makes her especially attractive.

But I’m also a fan of Denise the werewolf girl.

@NS
Just finished tooth and claw with Jack (the werewolf) as my guide, and I shot him with a bronze bullet. He lived and I spoke to him telling him he was helpful, but when meeting Arthur again, he said it was regrettable that Jack died.

When Craig sprung his… alternative lifestyle on me, I felt inclined to have him promoted to Gamma or risk him thinking that I have something against him now

@stsword
Denise? Who is that?

@WolfieGrey

Odd I’ll fix that. Would you like Craig to approach you after the promotion so you could explain why you didn’t choose him?

Denise is a lycanthrope you meet in the Unit Beta path. If you stop them trying a “cure” on her she replaces Marcus.

@NS
It happens with Marcus to sometimes. I think so anyway I haven’t played in a while.

With the Craig situation it would be nice to tell him I’m okay with his lifestyle. It all just seemed so sudden, one second I’m speaking to my buddy and the next BANG! He drops the bombshell and leaves before I can get a word in.

Are you only supposed to be able to date people from your unit? I chose to promote Craig but Ashley still wanted to go for a drink ,which never gets picked up again, even if you promote her

Edit: does Denise still show if you choose the “is she a werewolf or lycanthrope” response? That seems to temporarily stop the experiment but I don’t remember seeing her in “tooth and claw”. Again, this play through was a while back so I may just not remember her. Or I chose the other case.

@WolfieGrey

I’ll add a friendlier response to Craig/Alice confession.

Ashley asks you for a drink if your flirty with her which can be done prior to your promotion.

The “is she a were or a lycan” choice is the only way to save her. So if you do that she should be in tooth and claw.

Funny, Wolfie, I almost always play beta playthroughs because I can only assume that in the alpha playthrough poor Denise dies.

Of course that means Jack probably dies in the alpha playthrough, but eh he seems like a darwin award winner. “Sure, let’s pull a knife on the swat team, that can’t go badly!” That certainly deserves a gibbs slap.

Sts keep in mind, he’s 18 with raging hormones and its the night of the full moon. Now lets throw in your all armed and he sees you *talking* to his grandmother (who raised him since he was young) things can get heated pretty quickly

I can confirm Denise/Jack die if you don’t take their path.

I had to say this. Spotted a few back but decided to comment on this one since I had nothing else to do.

  1. “It arrived a month ago, a collection of fifteen stones gargoyles. It was a big deal, apparently all fifteen statues were discovered in a chamber buried under the Vatican. They uncovered it during renovations.”

^ I asked the security guard about the gothic exhibition when picking the creepy statues mission.

‘a collection of fifteen *stone* gargoyles.’

  1. Same page: “Yeah, that’s them. If you ask me, it’ll like the sculptor starting carving angels then decided to turn them into demons,” replies Alexander.

‘*it’s* like the sculptor *started* carving…’

  1. When I tackle the vampire in the S.O.S mission: You hit the vampire as hard as you can. The vampire hesistates surprised that you were quicker then he expected and you don’t give him a chance to regret it as you drive your dagger into the vampire’s heart.

‘The vampire *hesitates* surprised that you were quicker *than*…’

  1. The next page: You call for Unit Alpha to come and help search the grounds. Hours pass and you don’t find the rest of the missing team. In the end you were only able to find 0 bodies. You wonder where they had gone, hopefully they somehow manages to escape and will turn up back at the HQ…

Lol realised the O bodies was 0 bodies. Looked like a 0 when I read it.
‘hopefully they somehow *managed*…’

  1. When I have a nightmare again after the S.O.S mission: You wake up sweating, another nightmare. You was started to get annoyed, you know something happened after you found Alex but you can’t remember.

The ‘was’ in ‘You was started to get annoyed’ is not necessary.

  1. When I go for the ghost in the apartment mission and do the floor-by-floor search: Most don’t seem to know anything but a few weave tales of noises from the apartments from floor ten upwards, and mention how the people who lived their acting more aloof than usual.

‘and mention how the people who lived *there* acting more aloof than usual.’

  1. When Ren explains to me about himself after I found out I’m an Azure: However, then you was caught in that ritual. It made your powers unlock, however it was different to what mom could do."

‘However, then you *were* caught in that ritual.’

  1. When I meet the elders during the ritual: Before you can do anything else the pain comes back swiftly tearing through your body and your wings vanish like they did when you was younger…

‘when you *were* younger…’

  1. After being bedridden for a month after the ritual: Apparently he had to ring Arthur to let him know you’d be late returning.

‘you’d be *returning late*’

  1. You watch as the he starts to melt into a black goop, which slithers to your feet.

The ‘the’ is not necessary. ‘You watch as he stars to melt…’

Finally, I can go to sleep. It’s 1 am and I’m exhausted of being a grammar Nazi. Sorry for the triple comments. Each spanning over more than 30 minutes.

Fixed those typos. @CountDon thanks for pointing them out.

@WolfieGrey I’ve added an additional option to the Craig/Alice confession as requested.

@NS
Thanks for that

Edit: When trying the option it comes up with this:
line 534: It is illegal to fall out of a *choice statement; you must *goto or *finish before the end of the indented block

  1. The 7200 mission description: We’ve arranged to transport a pack of gremlins to the United Kindgom. We need two members to supervise the transfer.

Was Kingdom meant to be spelt as Kindgom?

  1. The ‘The Trouble With Fae’ mission description: A search was carried out and they finally tracked it down a yesterday.

The ‘a’ is not necessary.

  1. The second gargoyle mission after we fly to Italy: You aren’t meant to be here but alongside Craig you’re heading to a nearby safehouse and under the cover of night breaking into a family’s crypt to break into it…

‘and under the cover of night breaking into a family’s crypt to break into it…’ Dafuq?

Is it even possible to defeat the bloody golem? T_T

  1. Error during the Dr. Sergei mission after I go through the WATER tunnels and find him and try to talk to him: line 525: Expected option starting with #

Of course it’s possible to defeat the golem, just play to your characters strengths

@WolfieGrey did. It’s aimless. T_T Used a gun, failed. Tried to stab it, failed. Tried using every single shade option, failed. D:

The shade you were using wasn’t strong enough. Did you sacrifice some humanity?

Yes, I guess.

you guess you sacrificed some? Perhaps not enough
