UnNatural - A supernatural horror game - editing complete, beta testing over

Blade - close to medium range
Gauntlets - close range
Whip - long range
Hammer - medium to long range
Spear - long range
Scythe - medium to long range
Kunai and chain - close to long range

How do these sound for options?

@Nocturnal_Stillnesss are the weapon styles going to have stats? seeing as using gauntlets requires a lot less skill than say Kunai and Chain. Or will you just be proficient in each depending on your level of form?

Those sound fine, how detailed are you going to make the differences? If you leave it rather boilerplate, you could give the player the option to rename the weapon so they can use whatever they fancy.

Or perhaps stat adjustments depending on the circumstances? Take gauntlets for example, you probably don’t want to get that close to a vampire, but if you have high enough physical stats you can still box a vampire into submission, or say have success dependent on one’s mental stats to take advantage of the situation.

I’d like the fight scenes to change depend on your weapon. As for stats it will be based on your physical stat

@Nocturnal_Stillness Maybe variations in weapon speed and power? hammer is slow but is really destructive,spear is faster but weaker, scythe is also fast but weaker

How about different weapons for each scene? Like, in scene no.1, you get a choice to make so and so weapon or so and so weapon, which operate with two different stats.

Then, in Scene no.2, you get a choice to make this and this weapon, or this and this weapon. The weapons will be effective or useless depending on certain stats.

@everyone

added the option to choose a form for your weapon as well as stats for each one. Then in the “By Tooth and Claw” case the choices of which weapon to use when choosing form are there, a couple still have [ToDo] but I also mention whether you would win, generally if you die you’ll still see the death scene, but [ToDo - WIN] means your stats would have succeeded there.

opinions on the initial attempt would be welcome, I will be going through the game to altering the fight scenes to accommodate this change. For the record, the required stats change depending on your weapon, some shapes require less physical to be deadly, where some require more physical to succeed than usual.

Is it only shade that gets this update or will venatar(?) get it as we’ll?

This particular update is shade only. Azure powers will be expanded on in episode 6

In the “tooth and claw” case, when I saw the wolf on Marcus, I chose to make two shade blades, I then proceded to slice it in two (the game acted like the wolf was attacking me "you wait till the last moment). After I cut it in half, my character decided it would be a good idea to “put two more rounds in its chest, just in case” (despite the fact it has no legs)

If you choose Ashley to promote to Gamma, in the gargoyle case, in the “is it over scene” it just skips that and goes straight to “you call a retrieval team…” Without telling you how you survived (unlike Victor who recovered his gun and shot them) (using Ashley in the case)

Thanks I’ll look into them.

NS, did you mean to remove the opportunity to capture the wolves in Tooth and Claw? I was forced to kill the werewolf, and hence the lycanthrope got away after I captured it.

@stsword

The option should still be there? I’ll have to check the code.

All I got was which weapon I wanted to form, no making a wall, then a box, to protect myself.

That’s odd its still there in the code.

@stsword

I found the issue, I did a bit of copy and paste of the old scene in case things went wrong and when I pasted the capture code the indents were wrong. -fixed now.

@Everyone

Also done the other weapons during the first wolf fight and now working on the second wolf fight

@Everyone

all fight scenes in Episode 3 revised to incorporate the new shapes of form.
