The only issue I’ve had was the “halfway save” sending you to the start of the episode but I remembered you saying it sends you to the top so I split the episodes into two to sort it. But have yet to try it out.
When you chose your parents to be killed by zombies, there is a minor spelling error:
“blood splattered corpse standing ther.”
I think you could rephrase the part right after this better, it doesn’t sound right when read aloud. You could switch this:
“You shiver at the mere memory of it, since learning of zombies you still wonder how close the animator was that night.”
to this:
“You shiver at the mere memory. Ever since you learned of zombies, you’ve wondered how close the animator was that night.”
Just trying to help
Sorry, just noticed another grammar thing. After you ask to be excused there is a paragraph that really needs so commas.
Here’s what made more sense to me
<“Yes, you may go,” he says before adding softly, “I know this upsets you, but we’re doing this for your own good.” You excuse yourself and return to your room. You throw yourself onto your bed, and turn on the News.>
Yep
@Nocturnal_Stillness i hope you haven’t forgotten about the scene where you head up to get a better view (the zombie scene, going after the animator yourself, first time seeing the MRA)
If you chose zombie as a background, when your uncle calls to tell you they caught the animator the last option “That murdered belongs in jail” doesn’t make sense. (that murderer?)
Then on the next page it says “either way with their murderer dead…” (the last page said that he was in jail not dead)
Thanks will fix that later. Checked the scene with the animator and i haven’t done it yet. I’ll get that done tonight sorry for the delay.
It *should* generate a save at the start of every “page”.
Basically whenever a new page is displayed (after *finish or page_break for e.g.)
It generates a save, but it only stores that save if you use the *sm_save command before the next page, if it’s not used, it’s just overwrote by the next generation.
It doesn’t (or shouldn’t) revert to the beginning of the scene.
If Victor has gone missing how does he get promoted to gamma? perhaps make that a little clearer
After Victor kills the vampire in SOS he says he will say something in the next meeting but he doesn’t
Saying you will send an officer to go after the animator while you deal with the zombies results in you not actually telling anyone to do it and not hearing about it after (if someone did indeed go after the animator)
I’ve added the path where you can creep up the stairs and fixed the sending the officer after the animator. However I can’t find any mention of Victor saying he’d say something in the next meeting during SOS.
I’ve changed the Spirit stat to Will so you may have to restart your games, might be advisable anyone especially if you like to do the “Trick or Treat” case just incase you’ve earnt the alternate path available.
An now working on “School Daze” (the third case in episode 4) and will continue Episode 6 soon after (I’m hoping to have the first draft done by the end of March) will then be having a closed beta (the current version will stay available, but the new version will have the ‘official’ new game codes added, and the chosen beta testers will be given a special code (not found normally in the game) as thanks for beta testing.

edit: just tested it and it doesn’t seem to have broken the game, but please let me know if it does to your own game.
I want to be a beta tester
@vampierkid222
The beta test won’t be till April, so ask again more towards the end of March just incase I forget!
Ok kool cant wait
@nocturnal_stillness never mind I read it wrong it was Arthur.
“Victor has gone missing. We think he went after the vampire” (when did he come back? How did SRT find him?)
(choosing to use cloak after going upstairs to the animator) : line 1491: invalid expression at char 9, expected NUMBER< STRING, VAR or PARENTHETICAL, was: INEQUALITY [>]
Okay, relating to the “Will” stat…
Other than the option to read the first tome with Ren, how do you build this stat? I’ve played the game thoroughly, but I guess not thoroughly enough, for I always fail in the “Trick or Treat” mission.
When you study in the library and you meet the girl in the wheelchair(forgot her name), does anything special happen after speaking with her about the animation book?
In the Gamma meeting, you have a choice to bring something up, and I always end up getting a, “No, I’ve got nothing to say,” option. Has anyone else gotten anything different?
I’ll fix them.
Looks like a few additional choices have vanished from a previous update I’ll double check.
Nothing special yet but will do in episode 6 if you try and speak to her some more. But to clarify it is Liz in the wheelchair and Marie who is reading that book.
The option to bring something up in that meeting requires you to take Lakota on the “by tooth and claw” case and talking to him about being in Gamma.
Twitch, I don’t think it’s fair to say you fail in trick or treat.
Sure you get possessed and rough up your partner, but either Ren exorcises the spirit or you kick it out by grabbing a cross.
So I’d say it’s just a not very glamorous victory.
Trick or treat now gives an error, by the by, NS.
