Well, I can tell you from playing that if you select a case, then go back to look at the other cases, you can no longer reselect the case you had just looked at. It acts like it has a hide_reuse.

what about a shade bow or crossbow?

Ah, yeah, that. I’m guessing this happened because he looked at each case file, then selected the option to look at others. You have *hide_reuse as a default (I have no idea how or where this is set, but I’ve noticed that when playing), so each time the player goes back to look at the other case files, the one he just looked at is no longer an option. Do this for each file, and now you’re back at the *choice statement without any #options to select.

I think if you include a *allow_reuse in the line directly above the *choice statement, the player will be able to select each option multiple times, thus avoiding the problem, and allowing the player to actually look at each case before choosing which one he wants to pick. I think.

I use *hide_reuse on certain choices but the cases use *if , not that.

timaeus is right. When selecting cases if you want to look at a different one it dissapears from the list. Meant to ask about that a while back.

Then that’s definitely odd. Maybe using it once sets all choices like it…

Like I said, I have no idea why it seems to default to the *hide_reuse case, but you should be able to force it to be reusable with the *allow_reuse.

I seem to have fixed the case choice error in episode 4.

@Nocturnal_Stillness not sure if your currently fixing it or not but when doing “tooth and claw” 1: when speaking to Marcus about monsters the only option is “that’s harsh not all monsters are harmful” before letting you choose otherwise and 2: when fighting the wolves it continues to repeat itself I killed about 10 before I gave up (shooting if it helps)

Fixed the loop but found a plot hole will fix that later along with the Marcus plot hole.

Episode 6 will have two different sets of case. The first set will be bypassed if you choose to go after Sol. Would you consider that fair? my reasoning that there are five members left and to track them down and ‘deal’ with them would take the same amount of time doing a few cases.
