I like how you guys change the names accordingly to your mood, I gotta keep my name constant else I begin wondering who is who.

For me Adrian Sanada is mainly in the vampire games so that he’ll be technically immortal and able to move to different games based on Earth and a few other fantasy ones if I use the Kepler game as Canon for his character.

Kojiro Shigeharu is usually just a one off in fantasy games while Raziel Griese will go through Life of a Wizard and supposedly find a way to cross dimensions and each time he does he becomes a new person while retaining his memories.

You have a very logically complex mind mate, reminds me of myself. ^.^

I love very unusual, grand-sounding names, like Justinian or Ulysses. I’m told my preference is unconventional, nevertheless if I ever have a child they will receive an exceptionally unique (read: embarrassing) name. Probably after a roman emperor or a cartoon character I like.

I seldom us pre provided names in games. If I can put in a name of my own choosing, I nearly always will, unless I really like one of the author provided ones.

Oh? And which name do you normally use in game?

I barely ever use preset names and for anything human I always name my MC after myself. Although if its in the future/past I usually keep last name and change first name to fit the time period, and imagine myself as an ancestor of mine. when its nonhuman names i usually brainstorm a name because it always drives me nuts whenever i see a name that I didn’t type myself (is that narcissistic?). For example in Choice of Robots I usually make a name out of a electronic related word like Circuits = Cirtria, Although sometimes I just make a name without a word like Alitrac.

Ah that makes sense, oh don’t worry dragon hehe I get the feeling, those moments when I see my name in a game and wonder…they know who I am o.o

you know, you shouldn’t disclose absurd vampire names like that. I already preclude certain names from being typed in; I just might do it to “Mr. Bitey” as well.

While you’re here, you might as well share what your names are

@jasonstevanhill there there don’t be shy

I have always used Turman for a last name when I play modern themed games, this is in respect to my recently departed grandmother. For first names, I use either Dre or Connor. Although for fantasy Erdnaed, you know it has that wizardy feel to it! In new Demos I just use the preset names.

Haven’t been on COG in while, looks good!

Names with meaning just have that…touching and unique feel to it, @Iconic_de welcome back mate =p

Depends on the game. ‘Real world, modern-ish day’ or ‘sci-fi’ I tend to reuse a specific name, but for fantasy I make up new or use one of my own names.

But when I mess around to test things I wouldn’t usually do (just because) I tend to pick pre-made names.

Or when the names offered spawns a reaction (i.e., seem to hold a meaning my own name cannot), then I tend to go with those. :relaxed:
