“I told you before, I done fought bears.” Schmidt says, pats the stiletto at his hip.
before that it said miss caraway
@AllenGies I dont think the Marshal could be black because Yahtey called him a white man since you seen him, of course he could be light skinned and with that if the MC was black there should be legend points.
…
I am speechless.
I have no words at how satisfied I was at that ending.
I applaud you, Allen.
And I’m glad I was able to be here from the beginning, and was able to see the game’s completion.
when I got past chapter ten it says ‘sorry there’s no epilogue yet’ and when I click next it just goes to play again…
I’d love to continue testing but I don’t wanna spoil the ending
I’m getting Tin Star the millisecond it comes out, any idea how much longer testing will go on for?
In short I cannot play the epilogue
@RoseQueenKamijo Ah, I probably missed zeroing out Miss Caraway as a companion in the reboot of the chapter following a character death. I’ll take a look at the other entries and make certain I didn’t replicate that error. Glad you noticed it.
As for the Epilogue, there isn’t one yet but I am working on it. Nearly done with the first draft in fact. The scripting for the theme song was a four hour pain but I hope it will be worth it.
Right now there are epilogues for the MC, Miss Caraway, Carson, Schmidt, James and Julie, Preston Springs, Lander County, etc. Minor characters also included thus far are Frank Spears, Andy Smith, Martin Baldwin, etc. Hmm… I don’t think I did one for Godfrey. Do I need to?
Anyone have a particular character or epilogue for the same they really want to see? Now is the time to ask.
@Ninjasplaycardgames2 Well, I was supposed to be done two months ago according to my original time-line but the chapters co-operate. I hope to finish up in mid-August with two weeks slotted for revisions as needed. After that, it will be out of my hands.
I’m most curious about how you’re going to wrap up:
-
Maria, if we romanced her, do we get to marry her in the epilogue? Or do we have to wait for the sequel and help her clean up her county first?
So does anyone know the Mexican word for marshal?
-
Regina, if we married her, how does that work out? Is it a match made in heaven? hell? or both? O:-) >:) And do we get to eventually inherit most of her daddy’s millions since he respects and adores her far more than her brother? B-)
-
the threesomes, particularly Maria-MC-Caraway. :>
We could have a threesome? How?
Well, I should amend my earlier statement. Not all threesome combinations are possible, and Maria-MC-Caraway isn’t really a threesome in the sense that they’re all in the same bed together. It’s just Maria and Caraway agreeing to share the MC. In some of the other combinations however, they really all do end up in the same bed together, like say Caraway-MC-Yiska, and Caraway -really- likes the idea of being in bed with Yiska as well as the MC. As for how, from what I recall, high relationship scores, high charm, and picking the right choices when confronted by your two love interests all factor into whether or not they agree to the possibility. The specific requirements may vary depending on the particular threesome you’re trying to arrange. And don’t bother trying for more than two romance interests if you want to keep two. If you try for three or more at the same time, you’ll be forced to choose one.
@P_tigras -The epilogue is, well, I’m working on it. Almost done. I’ll be interested in what you and others think. I’d hate to have come so far and then fall short at the end.
Maria will have her own selection option as well as Regina and the MC, of course. Three-sided romances are mentioned but again, I’ll want feedback when the time comes.
A mini-update while people wait. The much needed Caraway-Schmidt comedy routine on the way to New York has been added. Other fixes were made, etc.

How high does Schmidt’s relationship score have to be in order for him to join you to New York? Because mine’s is 108, yet only Caraway comes with me. @AllenGies
@MIGhunter You can’t really romance Regina, but it is possible to impress her enough that she’ll happily marry you, if you bring up the possibility in front of her father. @AllenGies went over this in one of his replies on the previous page of this thread:
"Right now, the only way to have the option to marry Regina/Reginald (and you have to convince them, force doesn’t work) is to not have foiled Upton’s plans. That means taking either the Lackey or the Renegade route and that means that in Chapter seven you have to go in and talk to the Uptons and agree to cut a deal. I know, its a bit thin, but that is how the writing turned out.
Also, you have to be decisively either male or female; no just being the Marshal or the Doc. That choice is, of course, made in chapter 1. Upton expects children and plenty of them. "
The author has also said that he’ll go back and “punch up the flirt with the dialogue”, now that it’s possible to marry Regina and Reginald.
You know it would be awesome if you could join in Hartigan gang in epilogue or something like that
Spotted a capitalization problem in one of the new sections:
"…above a door. Or the gap where a door ought to be if it wasn’t busy trying to be a table.
OVer in a corner snores Miss Caraway, one hand on a pistol grip and the other clutching a very empty bottle."
BTW, one thing that I didn’t understand on my first few playthoughs was that by deciding to be called “Marshal”, I was somehow no longer decidedly male, and that this reduced my options in the game. I was rather annoyed when I first found out. As long as you’re going back and addressing things, you may want to make the transgendered option a little more clear.
Spotted another mistake:
“Then she stirs and raises her drinking hand up to try and tease out a final drop. When that fails she tosses the it…”
I think that the ‘the’ before the word ‘it’ needs to be removed.
Also a suggestion for when you chose: “If by ready you mean still a little drunk, then yeah.” when confronting Jack after finishing the bottle with Caraway, when Jack responds: “First thing you did when you got in was get drunk?” Tumbleweed Jack scoffs, “what kind of Marshal have they sent this time?”
I think that the MC should have the option for a snappy (Or sarcastic) reply in additon to the standard responses and perhaps have Carraway make an additonal remark after you shoot Jack, similarly you’d think Preston would comment on this when you first meet.
