Tin Star testing

When you travel with the Indian, was it intended that you increase your Law trait or your Legal skill?

Right now, way it looks, you’re pushed toward Law instead of learning about the Legal.

please tell me the game is going to be wayyy longer @AllenGies

Hey the Indian doesn’t tell us what our name means?

I need to know what my name means!!! @-)

Raven- I’ll take a look at the coding for that part of engineering and see what I can come up with. And you should know that choosing your initial skills often raises a related skill. Gunfighting and sharpshooting are pretty close after all, as are explosives and engineering.

DaltonKing- I’m glad you liked that part of the final wrap up. It is only partially complete, of course, as legend and notoriety might well rise high over the ensuing chapters depending on the choices that were made.

Ramidel- Oops. Traveling with Yiska should raise the Legal skill, not Law. He is, after all, a lawyer.

Zane- As of right now, the Beta has only three of what will be seven or eight chapters. So yes, it is going to be longer.

Player- Of course Yiska doesn’t tell you what your name means. He doesn’t know you well enough yet, Kemosabe. But eventually, he will. Of course, if you really need to know, there is always Google. :slight_smile:

Oh thats what it means…

Thats a very fitting name I hate ignorance and prejudice!

Tamoha he said my name is Tamoha not Kemosabe

I searched and said it was
Tamoha
It means “The one who destroys ignorance”.

@AllenGies

The surnames are romanized in Cantonese form, but the given names are romanized in Mandarin form, so it wouldn’t make sense if they’re combined together.

How about another option where when the character mentions that they are Chinese, they are asked what part of China they hailed from?

Sorry for making your life way more difficult… :stuck_out_tongue:

@AllenGies I understand the pairing, and agree with it. I meant i found it odd i had higher engineering when i said i was good at explosives than when i said i was good at engineering

China is too damn big! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well you don’t see any Wong Meixiangs running around do ya? :stuck_out_tongue:

@AllenGies
Just 2 things:

  1. How exactly do you get the Doctor trait? I keep trying but I can’t seem to get it.
  2. Isn’t the title be “Tin Star” instead of “My First ChoiceScript Game”?

Doctor Trait?

Where? where?
*Runs Around*

@Player
He mentioned it in a comment on the previous page but nobody’s asked about it except me for some reason :-?

Maybe he hasn’t implemented it yet?

@Player

“Right now, the traits a character can have are Stoic, Religious, Lawyer or Doctor, Chinese (Though it is not really fleshed out yet) and one other that I’m not certain anyone has stumbled upon yet.”

He says that,as of August 6, these are the traits the player can receive so unless the traits are bugged the player should, somehow, be able to get all of these.

MistyLavenda- 'The surnames are romanized in Cantonese form, but the given names are romanized in Mandarin form, so it wouldn’t make sense if they’re combined together. ’ I see, or rather I didn’t see and now I don’t know how to proceed. Would it be better to romanize the names or not romanize, that is the question.

Either way, I may have a favor to ask of you MistyLavenda in sorting this out.

Ah, yes; the Doctor Trait. Right now, it can be gained in only one place by choosing a specific conversation choice. I should probably enlarge that a bit.

Also, you can’t be a lawyer in order to get the doctor trait. One career only. No Doctor-Lawyers or Lawyer-Doctors, that’s just unbelievable. :wink:

no phds for lawyers then?
