idonotlikeusernames-I’m glad you like Yiska. He just sort of happened when I was brainstorming. Several pieces of character suddenly stuck together and there he was.
As far as the romances go, it would save on programming the romances if I stuck with a single pairing of rivals Yiska/Schmidt or Caraway/Maria, but that would be the only reason I could see to limit anything.
Glad you noticed the errors. Especially the ‘split a bottle’ portion. That comes from two sentence fragments that stuck together poorly. One arises based on an outcome of the chapter, the other derives from how much Caraway likes you. Those two go together poorly, so I’ll fix them on the master and then move them on to the public copy soon.
I just chose to shoot the cowboy I managed to hit him and he crumpled to the floor. But then he was coming over to check my wound and I got a comment about being lucky the prospector was a bad shot. Next scene the prospector was talking to me. Was I meant to meet both of them?
Spotted another of those ‘double sentences’ it’s in the bar after you’ve chosen to help Hartigan loot the wagon.
Miss Caraway glances at you, hides a smile. “Too bad about the wagon. I think I need a drink. Why don’t you come have a drink with me. Or two.” Why don’t you come have a drink with me, see if we can’t be better friends."
After chosing to join the Hartigan gang and then telling Miss Caraway I plan to stick with it the choices I’m presented regarding my intentions with don’t quite seem to fit the response you get:
“He’ll like hearing that.” She offers, “sometimes people get cold feet and walk away. And you, you’re the law in Lander County. He’s amazed every day.”
Found what appears to be a glitch in the scene where the MC is laying out the evidence against Marshal Steele, if you’ve let Tumbleweed Jack search around in Elko you get an option to mention his evidence. If you select it the game just loops and does not record that you’ve selected it.
Finished my second ‘Bad Gal’ playtest and hit a major bug. If you choose to gun down Steele in cold blood you get the following contradictory text:
["With a single thunderclap, you wrap things up. The star is all but dipped in blood by the time you pluck it free, but a little water will wash that up right quick.
“That was cold.” Carson says, slings his rifle and heads for the door. “And I want no part of it, or you.”
You step on out into the freshening evening breeze and turn your mind to other things.
Steele, though badly wounded, looks as though he might survive the night. When at last you leave the imposter to his rest and step out into the evening breeze, you find Preston leaning idly against a nearby hitching post. His jacket has been pulled back from his pistol, but the iron remains holstered. The same is not true of his four deputies who lounge about with rifles and shotguns cradled in hand.
“I heard the ruckus.” Preston begins, “but proved a mite slow in getting here. Lots of people yelling all sorts of things really.”
There isn’t much to say to that. You know he’s just going to keep on talking.
“Let’s just move on.” Preston suggests lightly. “Mister Steele will survive, or not, and then he will definitely leave. Alive. I’ve got enough worries here that I don’t need anyone adding to them. That’s all I have to say, and so, good night.”
He motions to his deputies and together they depart.]

Bloodwyche- Great stuff there. Your use of the sentences really helps me zero in on things right off.
I like how you pulled Carson into your bad-girl run. Did he respond appropriately? Your influences were below what is normally seen, but I did write in responses for scores that were even lower.
“A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or continue to see if the script will complete.”
Did it look like that?
My first port of call would be an endless loop, e.g.
*label intro
—random text—
*goto intro
This would endlessly reload ‘intro’ and cause the browser’s javascript engine to crash, and cause the browser to freeze and throw an error like the above.
“There will be, one way or another.” Elder Hancock promises, gestures toward the parlor door. ((start edit-copy here)) The scent of blood lies heavy in the air as the parlor door opens. There, just beyond the threshold, lies a man pale and shuddering for breath.
said id like to talk to elder hancock more if there was time(in the mormon town)

Also, you can’t be a lawyer in order to get the doctor trait. One career only. No Doctor-Lawyers or Lawyer-Doctors, that’s just unbelievable. "
