Pale_Strider- Yeah, I don’t know how the joined word thing crept in, but it did. Fortunately, spellcheck catches the heck out of it. I’ll see if I can’t soften the opening of the two extended fight scenes to make it more palatable at first bite. I can certainly see where you might think the game has entered a loop because some of the same choice keep appearing.

Peeeh- Yep, there is in fact Romance right now. Admittedly it may be difficult to find (When isn’t it?) but if you select either Caraway or Schmidt as your companion repeatedly, you will get a chance at a special conversation or two by Chapter 4. Chapter five will have possible romantic encounters with Yiska and a Lady yet to be named (She’s a Spanish noblewoman who has come out to Nevada to study the Uto-Aztecan language in person).

Anyone have a good name for a Spanish Lady? I’m going to put one together soon, but I always take advice with names.

Ramidel-Good catches there. The Elder’s text is fixed, Andy now stays dead and just for you I expanded the Legend envelope because you clearly pushed it. Good stuff, thanks.

Player- Those are some excellent numbers. Logan Sixkiller seems to be quite the Doc Holiday, though without being ill-tempered and disliked. You certainly impressed the heck out of Caraway (And also answered my question as to whether those numbers could go over a hundred) .

Could I ask what your play style was for this run? Do you recall what major choices you made? Any Romantic options taken?

Why dont you model the Spanish Lady after Claudia Cardinale the actress from Once apon a time in the west, shwing.
But she is Italian

@AllenGies
The funny part is that I told Caraway that I am a dentist…

Like Doc Holiday

Some of the extra spacing issues has been fixed but some still remain. Most of the grammar issues look like they have already have been spotted.

Making my slow and not so sure return to this webstie, I suggest Catalina, Carmen, and Guadalupe (unisex if the character is from Mexico) as names. Del Valle as a last name or a second name; people usually have more than one name in Latin America, I am not aware if that happens in other places too.

@AllenGies
You want to know my play choices right?
Okay I chose Smith and Wesson Model 1 us my gun!(Would have liked a Single Action Army .45)
Now when solving the Schimd-Carson problem I chose “Both of you are at fault.” and then “The two of you didn’t so much as sing out a hello to each other, did you?”
Then I waive my fees and tell them to “Suck it up your both even!”
Of course they come with me to my destination.
I meet Caraway tell her I am a doctor and we solve the shoot out rather
“peacefully” and sending him to Elko!
Then I talked to Preston peacefully… ~O)
Took Caraway with me to the red ribbon mine
Shot the Bear straight in the eye and sold the meat and pelt
Helped the Indians
Send anyone alive from the mine to stand trial in Elko and took all their assets kept a little for my self…
Then I in the fourth chapter I took Caraway with me again!
Crushed single handedly the gangsters and saved the day!

Also where is the Romance?
I can’t find it! ~X(

Here is a good idea why don’t you put conditions on the romance?

That way it initiates it self and we won’t have to bother trying to find it!

Pace675- Thank you for the data set. Another high influence result for Caraway. I’ll have to give that some thought.

VodooDolly- Good names. I’ve started looking into Spanish naming conventions. Four names are not unusual, with up to two given names and then a Paternal and Maternal surname. Furthermore, the given names sometimes form a composite nick-name.

And of course there are differences for Basque, Galician and Catalan.

Player- You picked Caraway twice as a companion and didn’t find the Romance. Uh oh. Sounds like I screwed something up. You should have had a special fireside chat with her. (There is an influence requirement, but you easily exceeded it).

Thanks for pointing out that difficulty.

Would it help if I put [Begin Romance] in at the end of the option line? This would just be to make sure people see and understand where choosing it will lead. Sometimes I can be annoying oblique in my writing since I already know all the branches and results.

Do it for Lenins sake please do it!

Fireside chat?

Nope got nothing like that…

Player- I think I see what happened. Two changes made. That should allow the Caraway Romance to begin after you have chosen her as a companion twice after chapter 2. (In this case both Chapter 3 and 4 but this will also apply for later chapters)

I see a new version is up, If you’re still interested I could post my character data up here again after I get around to playing it again.

idnotlikeusernames- Yes, please do. Data sets are always good.

I think I can safely say Miss Carraway is my favorite character so far.

ArchAngel950- I’m glad to hear that your favorite character is Miss Caraway. She certainly is fun to write at times. What in particular do you like about her?

Well, partly a personal bias towards liking the female characters over the male ones. I don’t know why.

As for the rest of it, she’s pretty nice to someone who’s nice to her (as good people are), while still keeping her snarky attitude. It also helps that she can hold her own in a fight, and is deceptively observant and smart. She has two pistols, as well, which is always a bonus.
Speaking seriously, it denotes her skill and boldness. Dual-wielding is not easy to do. Trust me. It’s like writing simultaneously with two pens.

I don’t much care for that Prospector fellow, though. He’s nice enough, I guess, and he’s willing to help you out, but he seems really picky about what I do. It seems I can never do the Red Ribbon mission right with him, and he always runs off with a veiled threat. Miss Caraway can at least forgive me if I screw up. She even let it go when I decided to take over the Red Ribbon camp.

Carson seems like a nice fellow, but I don’t know him well enough. I haven’t taken him with me on any missions because… I like Miss Caraway better. :stuck_out_tongue:
