That could depend on whether the MC failed to capture him or caged his arse. If he escaped I foresee trouble ahead. He’s a bit player compared to the Rogue Leader.Maybe…

Could be a bit of drama, where The RO basically beats him to death or something. If he escaped anyway, if he gets cage, probably won’t see him again. I don’t think you can escape from those without assistance.

Well my take of Murphy ever coming back should be fairly high for 2 reasons 1 he’s the first villain the one to make such and impact we feel it books later ya know? If we failed to get him well it’s just that we known he is out there watching and waiting for his time to strick again and finish what he started with us.
2 he’s literally the only person who knows exactly what he did and the desired outcome for the mutation and could give us further insite on it,as we know depending on your choices he loves to glote and brag.
If hes is captured and caged as @ArchivistAlpha096 said he can’t get out without assistance, well we know there’s a mole so to speak in the angency who’s to say the don’t do a prisoner transfer and he escapes that way.
There are plenty of ways to reintroduce Murphy to the story it all depends if are Lord and savior @Seraphinite will do it as at the end if the day it’s all on her.

Does anyone else feel we might get fired from our position as the Wayhaven Detective in the later books? I don’t really have any evidence supporting this, but it’s just a hunch that I’ve had recently. Maybe it could depend on the relationship we have with the Captain and the Mayor?
It probably won’t happen to be honest, but there’s just a part of me that believes it will.

I can see A & M doing that. M likely more so than A who follows Agency protocol. Unless MC was in danger or something.
Unless the Agency interrogation specialists extract the information from him. Or (correct me if Im wrong) just simply pull it out of his mind like Agent Chana did to his captured thrall in Book 1.

Didn’t they say that they had issues extracting information from Murphy - when he was captured? Could be that some abilities don’t work as well on other supernaturals maybe. Could be that he experimented on himself so much that those methods don’t work as well or as intended.
But yeah, I could see him coming up in the future. Would actually love him coming up in the future. That was one of the things that bugged me in Book 2 - in the case that he wasn’t captured. It’s never brought up. Now, if it was me - I’d be freaking out a bit that this guy could still be stalking me.
And since we have a mole - which was mentioned before - I could see him escape with their help. The mole told the rogue leader, maybe she’d like to know more and would like to offer Murphy a place among their ranks with a way to tap the detective (once they have them)/ live out his anger against the agency.
I also don’t see us losing our job. I think the agency could pull strings to allow our detective to continue being the human liaison with some influence. Wouldn’t have the same impact, if our detective would be fired and starts working at the bakery or for some online delivery service 
At least no until the very end or when it looks like our MC maybe becoming a full member of the agency.
My detective would be heartbroken to leave Tina/Verda behind though.
This brought back memories! Haven’t listen to “Die Ärzte” in a long time! For some reason, when I think of Bobby, I have Knorkator’s “Arschgesicht” (ass face) running in my mind. Lyrics may not be as fitting but I can’t help it

I think the agency might not be as squeaky clean as we were told to believe. From the different paths, we see that the whole of UB has strong faith in the agency’s methods due to “owing” the agency one way or another while MC is the only one who can be impartial or even outright doubt the agency’s ways (if you choose that path).
I would be interested to see, in later books, a moral clash between the agency and MC, with the choice of maybe leaving the agency (temporarily of course, but MC wouldn’t know that). RO’s would then have to choose between MC and the agency. Cue the angst 
But that’s just me of course

Mmm extra dose of delicious angst. Yum. They would be all conflicted about it and such a choice may be a breaking point. A is too loyal to the Agency, M is loyal to UB and the team leader but may break away from the Agency to follow their um…heart. F wouldn’t want to lose their tightknit family, N…I don’t know. N might choose the MC over the Agency.
It’s Sera’s story like @D00MSDAYEFFECT said and it’s all up to her. I’m sure subsequent books and the angst factor will exceed our expectations.

Summary
Nat: I do admit, the agency has been good to me. To take the grace that they have given, the new life they provide, only to abandon it all - I’d be a fool.
MC: Then why aren’t you staying?
Nat: Because, I’d happily be the biggest fool in the world if it meant I’m staying with you. 
Definitely. I have no doubt Sera’s ideas would far surpass any speculation we can wring up. The first two books are proof enough. All we can do is wait with the most bated of breaths

My A mancer MC Dolores ain’t going anywhere unless A is following close behind. But she’s a stoic/intimidating emotional cripple who’d bury her true feelings and tell A to go stick it if A decides to stay with the Agency.
I think she will surprise us with twists and turns when we’re least expecting it. Whether its angst or romance our TWC goddess will deliver and then some I’d say.

Yeah I’ve said this before its my headcanon that Murphy becomes the eventual weird, snarky, Uncle-type figure that the Detective comes to for advice (which may or may not always be genuine) on the seedier elements of the Supernatural community that UB are too on the straight and narrow to be privy to.
I feel like Murphy would be amenable to the interrogations at first- if only to get out of the cage for a bit- but actually genuinely grows to be kinda fond of MC. Like a pet rock. lmao
And naturally UB would be reeeally against all of the above lmao

If Murphy somehow manages to escape the Agency, (and joins up with the Rogue gang) I can see Rebecca ordering UB to babysit the MC around the clock. I can only speak for myself here but an independent and headstrong (read: foolish) MC might want to personally track him down and bring him to justice for all the misery and mayhem he caused. And gets themselves into trouble again. Cue more angst. Cue A & M breaking everything in sight in utter and absolute frustration.
