Uncommon Questions for OCs
  1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Maybe an hour—unless daydreaming counts as something…then none, she can’t sit still, lol.

  1. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Super easy. She’s almost always laughing…at her own jokes, granted, but she still had a great sense of humor! lol

  1. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

She listens to music (like I do!! :D)

  1. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Not to say that’s she’s super trusting but…she felt very betrayed by Unit Bravo after only knowing them for like a month or two, tops.

  1. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Not very, but when you do, it’s heartbreaking, because you can almost see a piece of her breaking.

  1. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Flexible enough to agree to work for a supernatural agency!!! Eyyyyyyyy, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :point_right: :point_right: she’s a terrible cop!!

  1. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

Pictures, what few of them there are of her childhood, and her mother’s lullabies.

  1. What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?

As a kid, Charlotte would take hours in the tub (playing with dolls, of course)…with the water still running.

Rebecca: Stop doing that, it’s a waste of water!
Charlotte: But I like the sound of the water. :frowning:
Rebecca: Then shower first and play after.
Charlotte: ???

  1. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?

She tries not to, after all, she’s supposed to be a role model for the kids!!
Her first swear was “shit” at twelve.

  1. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?

When she would say, “I love you” to Rebecca as a teenager.
And yes, it does haunt her, especially after the reveal.

  1. How do they cope with confusion?

She’ll ask for help—there’s no shame in loljk, nah, she tries to figure it out on her own long before she ever considered asking for help.
However, I actually expect that to change as the series wears on (woo! go teamplayer stat!!)

  1. How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?

Beg for someone to scratch it for her.

  1. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

All of them!~♡
And yes, she does!

  1. What animal do they fear most?

Spiders.

  1. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

If it’s with friends, she doesn’t feel the need to think anything through before speaking.
If it’s with strangers (or her mum), then yes, she rehearses her lines, lol

  1. What makes their stomach turn?

Bad smells.

  1. Are they easily embarrassed?

!!!YES!!!

  1. What embarrasses them?

If she fucks up in front of a crush.
It’s great.

  1. What is their favorite number?

Seven!

  1. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

“Platonic love is…if they asked, you would do almost anything. Romantic love is…there’s nothing you won’t do for them, and you do it yourself without asking.”

  1. Why do they get up in the morning?

Because, before she goes to bed every night, she bribes her future-morning self by leaving a chocolate candy on her nightstand, so when she looks up, bleary-eyed at her alarm clock, the numbers are blocked by a delicious piece of candy, and of course she has to eat it!
But by the time it’s over, she’s still a little hungry, fully awake because of the sugar, and ready for anything that isn’t a sudden and inevitable worldwide chocolate shortage!!! (If/when that happens…Charlotte just might die of despair.)

  1. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?

Lots of frowning, a short-tempered attitude, and refusing to admit that she’s doing either, while also trying to shoo away whoever’s making her jealous.

  1. How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

If it’s something she can have eventually but doesn’t have the time to get it immediately—say, Douglas ate the last of Haley’s pastries that Tina got for everyone in the office—then she becomes fixated on it for the rest of the day.

If it’s something she can’t have, ever, say because it’s the type of relationship someone has or a trait they have that Charlotte wishes she did…she just kind of stares wistfully, tries imagine scenarios where she could have it…and then never follows through—there’s work to be done.

  1. Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

Charlotte: [blushing furiously] Me? Sex? I mean…I—I—
Doctor: It’s a yes or no question.

  1. What are their thoughts on marriage?

#RelationshipGoals (?)

  1. What is their preferred mode of transportation?

Walking.

  1. What causes them to feel dread?

Loneliness and silence.

  1. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?

Unpleasant truth.
She was much more comfortable with the truth of the supernatural coming to light, than with the years of lies and secrecy before it.

  1. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

Heck yeah!

Charlotte: If you can’t live up to your own ideals, who are the kids going to look up to??

Felix: [off-hand] You keep mentioning kids, but I have never once seen a kid enter this police station who wasn’t already a delinquent. Do you visit elementary schools or something?

Charlotte: Um…we used to but…there was an incident with my pepper spray and the kindergartners and—

Felix: [leans in, suddenly very interested] Tell me more.

  1. Who do they most regret meeting?

Murphy, duh.

  1. Who are they the most glad to have met?

Charlotte: [blushes furiously] Oh you know…everyone! [looks over at Nate]

  1. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

Nah, she just kind of…wanders into a conversation and hopes for the best

  1. Could they be considered lazy?

She used to be, but not anymore. Professional life does that to ya.

  1. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?

Incredibly hard. See my earlier answer to another question.

  1. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

She gets swept up and becomes excited too—tbh, if she didn’t mind the occasional vomit, she would’ve been a great preschool teacher.

  1. Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?

Four hot vampires literally fell into her lap when she wasn’t looking, lol.

  1. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?

Except for PEMDAS, I have never in my life had to do something like that, but I feel like Charlotte would do something like that (just because that’s the type of person Charlotte is) but because I am not that kind of person, I have no idea what it could be.

  1. What memory do they revisit the most often?

Does the entire Star Wars nonology count as a memory? lol

  1. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

Uh, surprisingly easy.
I mean, she likes Adam, eventually, lol.

  1. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?

She’s learned to better them or brush off the ones that are subjective over the years.

  1. How do they feel about children?

She loves 'em so much, omg, you have no idea!!!
She squeals. She literally squeals!

  1. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?

Very!

  1. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

Charlotte: [blushing furiously] Me? Sex? With people?? I mean…I—I—
Morgan: It’s a yes or no question.

Uncommon Questions for Creators
  1. Why are you excited about this character?

Because she’s a cutie patootie who’s fun to imagine.

  1. What inspired you to create them?

Me~~!

  1. Did you have trouble figuring out where they fit in their own story?

Nope! She’s pretty easy to throw stuff at and make her stick!

  1. Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

She used to be a natural redhead, but then I decided that red hair would just be something she chooses for her spring outfits—the way most people would choose scarves or hats—and eventually she became a natural brunette.

  1. Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

Yeah, I feel like she and I would get alone pretty well…unless there was only one chocolate candy.
Then it’d be a fight to the death to see who could offer it over to the other person.

Charlotte: No, no, you take it!
Rose: No, you!
Charlotte: …You.
Rose: It’s rude of me as you guest, you take it.
Charlotte: But you are my guest, take it, please. I insist.
Rose: …
Charlotte: …

And then we both die of starvation.

  1. What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

Excitement, lol. She makes me happy just to imagine!

  1. What trait of theirs bothers you the most?

Um…I don’t think she has anything I hate.

  1. What trait do you admire most?

Her determination!
I used to have that too, but I lost it somewhere along the way between my Freshmen year and Senior year of high school. :upside_down_face:

  1. Do you prefer to keep them in their canon universe?

Heck.
Nah.
I’ve been imagining her in so many aus.
So many.

  1. Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character?

Um, I don’t think so.
Unless, if you mean headcanons, then…yes.
